OVERVIEW 01. The Singapore Racecourse at Kranji was of�cially opened by Singapore

02. Races are held on most Friday nights and Sunday afternoons. The Club also operates the totalisator on simulcast races from overseas i.e. it offers wagering on races from Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Macau, New Zealand, South Africa, Europe and occasionally from Japan, Korea and UAE (Dubai).

03. With all its stabling facilities located at Kranji, our racing professionals all work in one place. There are currently 25 licensed trainers and a good mix of Singaporean/Malaysian jockeys and visiting jockeys operating at Kranji.

TRACKS• The Singapore Racecourse comprises two main racing tracks:

(1) StrathAyr Turf Track

- the Long Course is 31 metres wide and 2000 metres long.

- the Short Course is 27 metres wide and 1800 metres long.

(2) Polytrack

- a synthetic track consisting of recycled fibres, silica sand and chopped rubber, all coated with wax.

- also serves as the main training track.

In addition, there are another five tracks used entirely for trackwork, including a 1000 metres long uphill track.

• A total of 41 floodlight masts, each 30 to 40 metres high, are strategically positioned around the main track to allow night racing to take place.

STABLING FACILITIES & VETERINARY CARE• Modern stabling complexes at Kranji can accommodate over

1,600 horses.

• Most of them, including the new blocks constructed outside the backstraight, are air-conditioned.

• Close-circuit cameras provide round-the-clock surveillance of the stables. Fences and grounds are regularly checked by a team of security personnel.

• Spelling stables are also available for horses who need a break from racing.

• A new Veterinary Clinic was opened in March 2012 and is located close to the international stables. Apart from being more spacious, the new clinic is more centrally located and accessible to all trainers, allowing world-class veterinary care to be delivered with improved productivity and efficiency.

GRANDSTAND• Boasting a seating capacity of about 13,000, the magnificent

five-storey Grandstand can accommodate up to 30,000 racegoers.

• All levels are fully air-conditioned.

• The main features of the Grandstand are its uniquely-shaped roof which epitomises a horse at full stretch, and the imposing façade featuring floor-to-ceiling glass panels at the upper column-free enclosures that provide an unobstructed vista of the track to the racegoers.

• The state-of-the-art Astrovision screen, measuring 46m (length) by 8m (height), is one of the largest outdoor screens in the world. The screen displays vivid racing action in multi-angles and also provides comprehensive racing and totalisator information.

• A cashless Patron Entry System facilitates quick and easy entry.

• While the general public can have admission to the air-conditioned Lower and Upper Grandstand and Owners’ Lounge for a minimal fee of $5 and $30 respectively, there are other exclusive areas available such as the Marquee and Lotus Room (next to the track), Gold Card Room (Level 2) and the Corporate Boxes (Level 4) which require prior reservations.

• All areas come complete with food and beverages outlets.

• A multitude of betting windows are available throughout the Grandstand as well as Self-Betting Kiosks.

CORPORATE BOXESFor an intimate gathering or entertaining special business associates, there is no better place than to wine and dine at one of the luxuriously appointed corporate boxes. Each box is tastefully furnished and partitioned to create a cosy atmosphere for up to 30 guests. Enjoy an unobstructed view of the races through the full-glass panel or catch the action on the LCD TV screens installed in each box. Betting booths are located in close proximity for your convenience.

BUKIT BOX/ORCHID BOX/VANDA BOXBukit Box, Orchid Box and Vanda Box are the perfect choice for your social or business functions on racedays. They offer a bird’s-eye view of the racecourse with an exclusive outdoor area which allows guests to soak in the electrifying atmosphere of the races. The venues can each accommodate up to 70 guests for a seated banquet or 150 standing.

Need a bigger space? The partitions separating Bukit Box and Orchid Box can be removed to host up to 150 guests seated or 250 standing.

Betting booths are conveniently located outside the rooms allowing guests the convenience of placing bets.

All rooms offer a spectacular view of the pulsating action on the racetracks.

CASUARINA ROOMLocated on the exclusive Committee Level (Level 4) of the grandstand, Casuarina Room can accommodate up to 120 guests for a seated banquet or 200 for a standing cocktail reception. Designed with adjoining glass windows on two sides and a high ceiling, this splendid room offers a gorgeous view of the racecourse.

Equipped with numerous LCD TV screens, and comprehensive bar counter, guests will be able to enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the racing action on the race track without compromising comfort.
