THANK YOU! DZIEKUJEMY! To everyone who in any way, small or big, helped with
making our parish festival a success. So many people donated so much of their time and
energy for this event. It would have been even better if more people under the age of 60
were as generous with their time and talents. We can only hope. We will now schedule
small group meetings to review the entire event so we can critique this year and propose
solutions and suggestions for next year’s big anniversary event. Also, we plan to have a
general ‘appreciation gathering’ for those who volunteered their talents sometime in the
next few weeks. We hope you will be able to attend if you were a part of the festival.
Once again, thank you very much for your help, donations, bakery, minds, hearts, legs, arms, backs and any-
thing that helped pull this event off. It definitely takes more than a village!!!!

VI. WEAK RESPONSES
57. It is foreseeable that, once certain resources have been depleted, the scene will be set for new wars, albeit under the guise of noble claims. War always does grave harm to the environment and to the cultural riches of peoples, risks which are magnified when one considers nuclear arms and biological weapons. “Despite the international agreements which prohibit chemical, bacteriological and biological warfare, the fact is that laboratory research continues to develop new offensive weapons capable of al-tering the balance of nature”.[34] Politics must pay greater attention to foreseeing new conflicts and addressing the causes which can lead to them. But powerful financial interests prove most resistant to this effort, and political planning tends to lack breadth of vision. What would induce anyone, at this stage, to hold on to power only to be remembered for their inability to take action when it was urgent and necessary to do so?
"As we approach the Year of Mercy, let us pray the Lord to
help us understand his heart, to understand what 'mercy' means,
what it means when He says: 'I want mercy, not sacrifice!'”
58. In some countries, there are positive examples of environmental improvement: rivers, polluted for decades, have been cleaned up; native woodlands have been restored; landscapes have been beautified thanks to environmental renewal projects; beautiful buildings have been erected; advances have been made in the production of non-polluting energy and in the improvement of public transportation. These achievements do not solve global problems, but they do show that men and women are still capable of intervening positively. For all our limitations, gestures of generosity, solidarity and care cannot but well up within us, since we were made for love.
59. At the same time we can note the rise of a false or superficial ecology which bolsters complacency and a cheerful recklessness. As often occurs in periods of deep crisis which require bold decisions, we are tempted to think that what is happening is not entirely clear. Superficially, apart from a few obvious signs of pollution and deterioration, things do not look that serious, and the planet could continue as it is for some time. Such evasiveness serves as a license to carrying on with our present lifestyles and models of production and consumption. This is the way human beings contrive to feed their self-destructive vices: trying not to see them, trying not to acknowledge them, delaying the important deci-sions and pretending that nothing will happen.

Aha!!! Happy faces and full tummies!! That means
the kitchen did a fine job keeping these guests happy
and content! Yum yum!!!!!!
Above we see someone who might look familiar to
those who regularly attend the 11:30 AM Sunday
Mass. Somehow he managed to locate a lucky ticket
and walk away with that lovely basket!! Some guys
just have all the luck!!!
Is this lady to the
left singing the
well known
‘kielbasa
song’ (a sa sa sa,
a sa sa sa, hit
‘em on the head
with a big kiel-
basa)???? Or
what??? Or was
she caught red
handed stealing
the kiszka??
Only her hair
dresser knows
for sure!
Please
stop!!!
Could this
but what the
troubadour
is saying to
those inter-
rupting his
ballads? Or
could he
have seen
the dragon
enter the
cave and
mistake him
for a pink
flamingo
dressed as
an accordi-
onist in dis-
guise?

L<@6A !LWow! City Hall even sent people down to the
“Smocza jama” (dragon’s cave) to certify the authen-
ticity of the cytrynowka! (pictured above). Notice
how the barmaid seems so calm? She is under the
spell of the pink flamingoes hovering over her and
watching her every move!!!!
And who do you think is happier...the people pic-
tured above who have already tasted their delicacies
OR the people pictured below just dreaming about
their first bite??? And then consider the joy of those
serving!!! They may be the happiest of all...after all,
you know the saying: “Busy hands are happy
hands!!”
And what can we say about those
pictured above who looked like
the cat who just swallowed the
canary!!! Such unbridled joy!!!!
Compare that to poor SMOK
who just tried to digest another
sulfur filled pink flamingo!!!
Poor dragon! When will he ever
learn!! He should ask Puff for
some guidance!
Synod potrwa do 25 października. W sierpniu doszło do podobnego czynu. Muzułmańscy imigranci grupowo brutalnie zgwałcili szefową placówki imigracyjnej, później usiłowali ją zabić. Sprawcami byli dwaj siedemnastolatkowie i jeden szesnastolatek. ! ! ! ! !"#$%$& !"#$%&#'&( '!(!)*$!+!!,-!.!/!00-12!+!,(',)&("#$%&#'&( '!()*3!(4!(5
