During Your Prep Download and print the Seven Continents Map and Seven Continents Orff Ensemble. Download the Bellboard if you would like to use it. Lesson Sequence 1. Display the seven continents map. Explain to the students that there are seven large land masses called continents. From largest to smallest, the continents are Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia. 2. Present The Seven Continents Song melody. Sing the song for the students, then teach it by echoing each phrase, encouraging expressive singing voices. Depending on the ability of the group, sing the song in two-, three-, and then four-part canon.
