Scripture
Psalm 29 (NKJV)
1 Give unto the Lord, O you mighty ones, Give unto the Lord glory and strength. 2 Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. 3 The voice of the Lord is over the waters; The God of glory thunders; The Lord is over many waters. 4 The voice of the Lord is powerful; The voice of the Lord is full of majesty. 5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars, Yes, the Lord splinters the cedars of Lebanon. 6 He makes them also skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox. 7 The voice of the Lord divides the flames of fire. 8 The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness; The Lord shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh. 9 The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth, And strips the forests bare; And in His temple everyone says, “Glory!” 10 The Lord sat enthroned at the Flood, And the Lord sits as King forever. 11 The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace.
John 1:1-5 (NKJV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Liturgy for the Installation of Church Leaders
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
You have been called by God and chosen by the people of God for leadership in Christ Moravian Church. This ministry is a blessing and serious responsibility. It recognizes your special gifts and calls you to work among us and for us. In love, we thank you for accepting your obligation and challenge you to offer your best to the Lord, to his people, and to our ministry in the world.
Today we install: Beverly Brown, Kay Butner, Sam Dixon, Ann Frye, Todd Gray, Fred Howell, Carol Johnson, Skip Johnson, Ronnie Lanier, Sabrina Malksi, Matt Pace, N.T. Russell and Martha Walker
Do you, this day, acknowledge yourself a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ? I do
Will you devote yourself to the service of God in the world? I will.
Will you do all in your power to be responsible to the task for which you have been elected? I will.
Give us joy as we grow older as your disciples. Help us to find and follow new avenues of involvement, committing ourselves to serve Christ in the church and community.
(Congregation Stands) Will you do all you can to assist and encourage them in the responsibilities to which they have been elected, giving them your cooperation, your counsel and your prayers? We will.
Let us pray. Almighty God, pour out your blessings upon these servants. Grant them grace to give themselves wholeheartedly in your service. Keep before them the example of our Lord, who did not think first of Himself, but gave Himself for us all. Guide them in their work together as a Leadership Board. Reward their faithfulness with the knowledge that through them your purposes will be accomplished, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
