Who can believe the school year is almost half over? The anxiety felt by our sixth grade parents, worried about their elementary students navigating through middle school, is now being transferred over to our eighth grade par-ents, who can’t believe their children (young ladies and gentlemen actually) are almost nearing the end of their middle school years.

This time of year is a great time for goal setting and planning for success. With the beginning of semester two comes a fresh start. Students are encour-aged to celebrate what they have accomplished as well as to make some “resolutions” to improve. Whether it’s reading daily, cleaning out that locker, getting to school and class on time, trying something new, or being a kinder person, (among countless other things), what commitments will students make?

Here at Seneca, we are committed to continuous improvement. Our focus is on providing students instruction that will enable them to learn the skills they need to be successful in the future in an environment where they feel valued and supported. Open communication is important for us to reach this goal. Please let us know when you have suggestions, compliments, questions, or need more information. We know students develop best when we work to-gether to support them.

Thank you for all you do. Looking forward to much success as we continue this school year!
