Our next stop is the new Bongards’ Creameries Retail Store. You can purchase your favorite Bongards’ cheeses. In 1908 the doors of a farmer-owned co-op opened in the town of Bongards, Minnesota. The promise was simple: to produce the freshest, most wholesome and flavorful dairy products available. [Bring a thermal cooler bag to keep cheese purchases fresh.] Next we will arrive at Lola’s Lakehouse Restaurant for lunch. It has a nautical feel with glass garage doors that runs the length of the building overlooking Lake Waconia. Menu: Soup and Sandwich special of the day. After lunch, we will drive along beautiful Lake Waconia to the Sovereign Estate Vineyard. It is situated on a gentle slope with the lake as a backdrop.
