NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS

SHOW SITE AVAILABILITY ON THURSDAY, DEC. 5th The Show Site will be available to exhibitors for move in on Thursday,

December 5th, from 6 pm-9 pm. Dogs WILL BE permitted in the building overnight, but no on-site security will be provided.

New Exhibitor Briefing, Mentoring and Dog Show Tour New exhibitor briefing and dog show tours will be offered on Friday and Saturday. Check judging program for time and location. New exhibitor mentoring is available upon request.

Mentoring can be scheduled with the show secretary the day of the show.

Telegraph, telephone and Unsigned Entries Cannot Be Accepted. Entries Not On Official AKC Entry Forms and

Photocopies of Entry Forms without Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Mail All Entries With Fees to: Holly Davidson, Show Secretary 624 Bridge Crossing Pl. Apt. D, Indianapolis, IN 46227. Entries received without fees will not be accepted. Acknowledgement of entries will be made as soon as practicable. Should such acknowledgement not be received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time, please notify the Show Secretary to which you sent your entries. E-Mail confirmations will be sent if you include your E-Mail address on the entry form.

No FAX entries will be accepted. Make All Checks and Money Orders payable to: The Salamonie Cocker Spaniel Club, Inc. Canadian

exhibitors must make fees payable in U.S. FUNDS. Please mail checks or money orders with entries. Show Secretary assumes no responsibility for cash sent through the mail. Tabulate carefully.

A Recording Fee of .50 for each dog and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 will be required for each recordable single entry class at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. This Recording Fee is to be collected by the Show-giving Club and Paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Recording Fee is to be collected on the first entry only. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2).

No Entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or

banned from competition by action of the Show Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of management it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. Extreme weather conditions, such as, but not limited to snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat, must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance and, in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the show before completion, no refund of entry fee will be made.

Post Dated Checks or Returned Checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check.

Errors on Entry Blanks. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in the event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date.

Dogs May Arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused.

Judges Will Not Wait for Any Dog Holding Up a Class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in judging ring when their classes are called to be judged.

Class Cash Prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging of that breed is over, and the Secretary advised at once. The Secretary and Show-giving club disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the breed is over.

Breed Prizes – A list of Breed prizes and trophies is available by writing the Show Secretary at the address above. All exercise pens will be located outside under cover. Exercise pens must be kept clean at all times. ABSOLUTELY no exercise pens allowed in the building at any time. Building will be secured at 11:00 PM each night and will be re-opened at 6:00 am each day. Dogs may be left overnight all 3 nights, however, overnight on-site security will not be provided and the Clubs and

their members assume no responsibility for dogs left overnight.. There will be NO SMOKING permitted inside the Community Building and this rule will be STRICTLY enforced

by the Show Committee.

NOTICE REGARDING RV HOOKUPS: A limited quantity of RV Hookups are available on a 1st come, 1st served basis. An overnight parking fee of $10.00 per night (without hookups) and $20.00 per night (with hookups) will be charged by the Bartholomew County 4-H Fairgrounds and is payable to the Fairgrounds directly upon arrival. Hookup quantities and types are limited.

PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES The Puppy Sweepstakes shall be for puppies eligible for regular classes. The judging in each sex and variety shall be: 6-9 months and 9-12 months. Each sex and age groups will be judged separately. The Sweepstakes entry fee is listed on Page 2 and each puppy in Sweepstakes must be entered in a regular class, not necessarily a puppy class. Entry should be designated "Sweeps" in the space provided for "Additional Classes" on the entry form.

SPECIAL ATTRACTION!!!!

Both Specialty Clubs will offer a Stripped Sweepstakes Competition on the day(s) of their show(s).

Guidelines are as follows: This is a Special Stripped Competition open to any AKC conformation champion dog or bitch. Length  of  hair  cannot  be  longer  than  1½”  on  any  portion  of  the  body,  with  the  exception  of  the  ears  where there will be no length requirement. This requirement will be STRICTLY enforced. The judging will be conducted by the Puppy Sweepstakes judge. Judging will begin immediately following completion of Puppy Sweepstakes and prior to the beginning of regular class judging. All varieties of dogs will be judged first as one class, then all varieties of bitches will be judged as the second class. The winners of those two respective classes will compete for Best in Stripped Competition and Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Stripped Competition. Entrants in this special competition will not be required to compete for Best of Variety. The fee for this competition will be equal to that published for Puppy Sweepstakes. If further competition is desired (i.e. Best of Variety) the entry fee for any additional class shall be the published fee on Page 2. Each of the specialty clubs shall offer rosettes to the Best in Stripped Competition winner and the Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Stripped Competition winner, along with cash awards. Cash awards shall be determined by the total entry fees received and shall be awarded as follows: 35% of total fees received to Best in Stripped Competition, 30% to Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Stripped Competition and 35% shall be retained by each of the three clubs for expenses.

Instructions for Making Entries Use ONE entry form per dog for all shows. If a dog is to be entered more than one day, but in different classes

on any of those days, use a different form for that dog for each day (verify that appropriate show selection box is checked for each day).

If entry is for a puppy and puppy is to be entered in sweeps, put SWEEPS in Additional Classes box

AGREEMENT I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem to be sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prize money, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or show secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss of this dog by disappearance, theft, death or otherwise, and from any claim for damage or injury to this dog. Dachshunds (long-haired, smooth, wirehaired), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard), Collies (rough, smooth). 2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition; Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3 . (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list . I f the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify y the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i .e., age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed.
