Prohibition The 18th Amendment in 1920 Prohibited manufacture, sale, import, and export of alcohol.Speakeasies were hidden, illegal bars during prohibition.Gangsters such as Lucky Luciano and Al Capone become famous.Prohibition was repealed in 1933.
