• Hazard identification and recognition through Site Specific (FLHA- Field Level Hazard Assessments) and Formal Level (JSA’s – Job Safety Analysis) hazard assessments.
Health and Safety Hazard Control Measures
• Implementation of hazard control measures through elimination, substitution, engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment.
Training
• Continuous OTJ (on-the-job) Training, worker mentorship, and competency assurance throughout all levels of employees.
Emergency Response Planning
• Preparing for potential emergencies by being equipped with the proper training, resources and equipment to respond when needed.
Incident Reporting & Investigations
• Immediate reporting, investigating, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions from unfortunate events. Taking the “lessons learned” and sharing them with the workforce.

Since we opened our doors in 2007, we have been a member of the COR program with Enform as our
certifying partner. With a strong commitment to health and safety we have developed a Safety

Continuing with the overall drive to enhance the safety program Radium invested in an online safety management portal through Safety Sync. Benefits include:
• Pre-screening the labour pool with standardized questions developed by our own superintendents and foremen’s

QUALITY CONTROL Radium’s leadership team is committed to quality control through following our manual and by
continuing education and training. (PM Trevor Farrow obtained his Level 1 July 2016, QC Lead Angela Cogle taking Level 2 exam fall 2016). Level 1 and 2 experienced staff available at all times. Additionally, 3 members of our project management hold engineering degrees, 2 with engineering technologist diplomas, 2 drafting designers (1 Sr , 1 Jr).
Craft in the field committed through surveillance, reminders in daily meetings, parameter checks and indoc. including review of WPS and NDE acceptance criteria prior to work.
Extensive experience with turnover packages for variety of clients – TOC and requirements discussed with client at start of job and the deliverables are tailored to client’s needs.

First Nations Development and Relationships
A new focus for Radium is the development of stronger ties and relations with First Nations across Western Canada, this new focus has already resulted in Joint Venture agreements with First Nation bands in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
The alignment with First Nation Band will promote new opportunities for Radium and allow for the company to have a greater input in the oil and gas industry.

Cost Savings Through
Experience and PlanningExamples of Radium’s past successes:
• KFS – proposed nightshift for the shutdown with capable, properly
trained crew with detailed workplan - reducing the outage from 8 to 5
days saving hundreds of thousands in lost plant production.
• Simonette – Module fabrication. Paint, assembly and shipping costs
greatly reduced by painting the module fully assembled (single colour).
Savings of $20 K
• KJT – during kickoff meeting, Radium was not convinced the model
provided by engineering was accurate. At our own cost we sent our in-
house scanning specialist to the site to verify where we found the point
clouds did not match. After helping to resolve the model and revise all
isometrics - over $100 K client cost was saved from eliminating rework.
• KJT – recommend flanging riser vs. tie in weld (carber test) - saved
hydrotesting entire U/G line saving $10 K.

• KJT – based on delays from other contractors, Radium recommended
holding off the incoming shift until work was available saving 5-8K in lost
indirects, travel and LOA.
• Sunshine Oilsands – took on a partially built project from previous
contractors. Radium had to pick up the pieces and quality issues left
behind. Worked with client to determine scope of work and action plan to
complete.
• Connacher – MOC work. Utilized laser scanning to as-built existing pipe
and steel to design / tie in expansion equipment and systems.

Fabrication FacilityRadium Technologies’ fabrication division has recently relocated to
a new facility five minutes east of Grande Prairie, AB. The facility is
situated on 11 acres of fenced yard space, sufficient for piperack module
assembly. There are 2 access points ample in space for transporting
large loads out of our shop. Upgrades to the yard scheduled for mid Q2
this year include installation of light plants and gravelling yard.

The shop is arranged with structural fab at one side and pipe fabrication at the other side with shared services in between. Bay 6 is utilized for hydro-test, but doubles as our wash bay with equipment storage. Future upgrades to the shop include adding 2 additional overhead cranes above the structural fabrication bays, jib cranes for all welding stations, and additional lunch trailers at the rear of the shop. These additions will increase capacity to handle 50-75 personnel in the shop with an additional 50-100 in the yard for module assembly.

Full time office staff located at the fabrication shop include Corporate
Safety, Area Manager, Quality Control Lead, Shipping/receiving,
Accounting department and admin staff.
Fabrication Shop capabilities:
• Pipe fabrication of stainless and carbon steel (B31.3 & Z662 pipingincluding PWHT and NDE). 3,500 DI/week capacity at current laborbase with capability to expand up to 5,000/week as required
• Hydro, leak and pneumatic testing of spools and valves
• Structural steel fabrication for modules, skids, pipe supports,platforms, grating fitting and banding, stair and handrailfabrication and installation. 20 TNE/week

Innovative Technology

• In addition to verifying our own work, Radium is also contracted to verify vendor packages prior to their release to the field.
• Reports are compiled and shared with the vendor and client so dimensional issues can be corrected saving costlier on site re-work labor/equipment saving both the client and the vendor money.

• Now based on known coordinates and dimensions from the scan data, test fitting of interconnecting modules can be conducted in the CAD environment eliminating the guesswork and associated costs of adjusting on the fly on site.
Modularization
• Significant cost savings to fabricating in a shop environment vs. stick-building in the field (typically saving 25-30% in equipment and labor and up to 50% when camp/LOA and travel are factored in)

• MOC work and Expansion projects
• C3+ Frac Tie in project consisting of 96 tie ins: 14 underground (firewater, pentane) coordinating with earthworks contractor ; 24 live requiring scheduled outages (various – gas / condensate / process) and 58 to be tied in during plant shutdown. Detailed work plans and schedule coordination/tracking with operations.
• Developed the cost estimate and schedule for the project (finishing 2% below budget).
• Implemented night shift (peak of 55 craft day shift, 25 craft nights, up to 14 staff) which decreased the duration of the shutdown from 8 days to 5.

• 5000 BBL plant had been put on hold 16 months prior to Radium’s arrival and 60% complete.
