THE RIGHT BITE – ICCMO INDIA
“LEARN Neuro-MuscularDentistry – ICCMO Fellowship Courses”
Neuromuscular dentistry (NMD) is all about the science of creating a harmonious atmosphere
among the muscles of mastication, the temporomandibular joint, the airway and the teeth so that
neither compensation nor compromise happens in any of the above constituents of the
stomatognathic system. It enables the dentist to master bio-metrics (measurement) and hence
practice precision dentistry keeping the general well-being of the patient in the mind.
The Right BiteTM, conceptualised by Dr. Raj’s (India’s pioneer in NMD) company Indra Craniofacial
Pain Relief India LLP, has tied up with ICCMO (International College of Cranio Mandibular
Orthopedics) to teach NMD and its protocol followed in India with help from Dr. Tatu Joy, the
renowned radiologist, and Dr. Girish.P.V, the premier NM orthodontist in India. ICCMO is the only
worldwide organisation for NM dentists. The ICCMO India section was officially ratified on 31st
March 2017.
NMD, as per The Right Bite protocol, is divided into Addition NMD, Reduction NMD, Sleep Dentistry
and Cervical Physiology to help teach, learn and practice better. It is based on the Neuromuscular
and Biometrics concepts of Dr. Bernard Jankelson. The courses have been designed in such a way so
that a participant can start by understanding the basics(Cluster1) and then go on to completing the
fellowship with case presentation within 2 years (Cluster2); and then following it up with ICCMO’s
Mastership programmes. The courses are as follows with the fee (Exclusive of GST):
CLUSTER1 4 DAYS ₹ 1,65,000 /-
COURSE1 : INTRODUCTION TO NMD
COURSE2 : ADDITION NMD – 1ST PHASE TENS BITE ORTHOTIC PROTOCOL
COURSE 6 : DENTAL SLEEP MEDICINE
COURSE 8 : REDUCTION NMD – GNATHOLOGIC MICRO-OCCLUSION PROTOCOL
COURSE3 : INTRODUCTION TO MANDIBULAR KINESIOGRAPHY
- FOLLOWED BY THE ICCMO FELLOWSHIP WRITTEN EXAM
Cluster2 - IN HOUSE (Fellowship completion- Case Presentation)
for a period of 1 year ₹ 2,25,000 /-
COURSE7 : ADVANCED NMD PROTOCOL WITH TENS, EMG, ESG/JVA AND KINESIOGRAPHY
Cluster3–CASE FINISHING (IN HOUSE)
COURSE 4 - 2ND PHASE NM PROSTHODONTIC PROTOCOL (TBA)
COURSE 5 - 2ND PHASE NM ORTHODONTIC PROTOCOL (TBA)
CLUSTER1 – Course1 is introduction to NeuroMuscular Dentistry (Webinar) that is provided to the
participant upon registration. Course2 is the Addition NMD course where you learn to register the J5
ULF TENS bite for a Neuromuscular orthotic. Course8 is the Reduction NMD course where you learn
to incorporate the J5 ULF TENS to enhance the Gnathology of the patients’ occlusion using the T-
Scan/Occlusense. Course6 is the Dental Sleep Medicine course where you learn to take the optimum
bite registration technique with the J5 ULF TENS to fabricate a NM sleep appliance. Course3 is
introduction to Mandibular Kinesiography and basic scan interpretation as well as guidance for
ICCMO Fellowship case presentation.
CLUSTER2- Once the participant is fluent in the basic TENS bite registration, learning to use the
Mandibular Tracking devices is the next step, which is Course3. Course7 is advanced Mandibular
Kinesiography with stress on posture and newer technologies in NMD like the ALD, VIVOS
appliances, orthostatic HRV, Cranial Nerve Screening and Capnography. All are in-house programmes
in Delhi/Bangalore/Cochin and are conducted according to the time convenience of both Dr. Raj and
the participant.
CLUSTER3 – This is for case finishing. All the patients, once they are pain free, need to be given the
option for either lifetime wear of the orthotic or finish the patient in the new occlusion with either a
prosthodontic build-up or with NM orthodontics. Course4 is prosthodontic build-up and Course5 in
orthodontic correction.
Ideally, the protocol to be followed should be to complete CLUSTER1. If you think you want to be
specialized, then continue with CLUSTER2. This can be taken to the next level with 3 cases for ICCMO
Fellowship. Once you clear that, you can apply for the ICCMO Mastership, where you need to submit
a research thesis. To avoid future relapse, the dentist should be confident with Cluster3.
Being a member of ICCMO India is pertinent to adopting NMD in your practice. The initiation fee is
₹10,000/- and the annual renewal fee is ₹7500/- which entitles the member to receiving a free copy
of the ICCMO Anthology Vol XI (only during initiation) and a membership certificate. All meetings
under ICCMO India would be free for the members until further notice. The membership also allows
the members to pursue ICCMO’s Fellowship and Mastership.

The Right Bite – ICCMO India “Learn NMD - Fellowship Course” Course1
An Introduction To Neuromuscular Dentistry : 1 Hour Webinar
Neuromuscular dentistry (NMD) is all about the science of creating a harmonious atmosphere
among the muscles of mastication, the temporo mandibular joint and the teeth so that neither
compensation nor compromise happens in any of the above three constituents of the
stomatognathic triad. 90% of all TMD is myogenous and hence should be treated holistically rather
than going under the scalpel. NMD is the holistic approach. By creating the Myocentric position for
the mandible, the teeth are then brought into that occlusion, hence reprogramming the muscles of
mastication. This is done using state-of-the-art and sophisticated, yet, easy to use, equipments.
NMD will also help us grasp the science of the silent killer, Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) and how
a dental surgeon can help a patient control it.
The protocol followed in India will be stressed upon. The concept of Addition NMD and Reduction
NMD will be explained during Course2 and Course8.
Dr. Rajesh will explain the basic concepts of NMD and how TMD and OSA can be successfully
managed by practicing it. This 1-hour webinar will provide you with the basic knowledge of this
innovative science and is free when you register for any of our courses.

ADDITION NMD PROTOCOL - J5 ULF TENS Bite, Orthotic Construction, T-Scan Micro-
Occlusion
Neuromuscular Dentistry (NMD) taught the way it needs to be. Step by step.
TheRightBite - ICPRI (Indra Craniofacial Pain Relief India LLP) under the aegis of ICCMO (International
College of Cranio Mandibular Orthopedics) brings to India the complete solution of NMD to treat
TMJD (Temporo Mandibular Joint Disorders) and OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnoea). Learn it the
perfect way from Dr. Rajesh RaveendranathanBDS, MICCMO and Dr. Tatu Joy MDS.
This course teaches you how to diagnose TMD, record the bite using a J5 - ULF TENS device,
construct an orthotic (both acrylic and acetyl resin), confirm the isotonicy of muscles with M-Scan
and correct the orthotic bite using the T-Scan/Occlusense. All that you need to know to set up your
TMJ practice. The concept of Addition NMD and Reduction NMD with the help of the “The Right Bite
Protocol” will also be explained to help understand and propagate the science.

Dental Sleep Medicine
Hundreds of millions of people of all ages around the world suffer from deadly obstructive sleep
apnoea. Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) has been linked to Cardiovascular Disease, Cerebrovascular
problems, Endocrine Disorders and Obesity. Our medical colleagues are asking for our help, NOW!
OSA is considered a disease of craniofacial anatomy so the ONUS is on dentists to identify and help
manage OSA sufferers.
Are you prepared to start SAVING LIVES?
This program presents an excellent introduction to evidence-based Dental Sleep Medicine and is
designed to prepare dentists and their teams to confidently identify, refer and help co-manage
patients with snoring and the deadly obstructive sleep apnoea. Participants will have the

REDUCTION NMD PROTOCOL – ULF TENS Gnathologic Micro - Occlusion
Gnathologic micro-occlusion is a precise and measured T-Scan-Occlusense/EMG-guided occlusal adjustment process that is a proven, fast-acting and highly efficacious treatment for muscular TMD symptoms that are commonly experienced by many TMD patients. Our protocol involves the use of the TENS. The advantage of using the J5 to the Reduction NMD protocol is that you reduce the number of visits to the doc as the required myo-trajectory is achieved on day 1 itself. In these workshops, you will learn:
Occlusion and disclusion’s role in TMD Treating TMD patients without orthotics when the required VD is less than the current VD The concepts, technology, and research behind gnathology How the ULF TENS increases the effectiveness of Reduction NMD Evaluation of cases and videos How gnathology can help you in everyday cases
Join our experienced clinicians in this one-day workshop to get hands-on experience with the J5 ULF

Mandibular Kinesiography
Once you feel confident successfully treating TMD cases with the TENS; it is time to get to the
advanced level of NMD. Here you learn how to utilize theK7/BioPak for recording diagnostic data,
interpreting the data and taking a bite registration with more precision. It would start with a lecture
covering how to properly prepare the patient for a Neuromuscular K7/BioPak bite registration
workup, which includes cleaning the skin, positioning the electrodes for EMGs, placement of the
magnet and alignment of the K7/JT Sensor Array. The theory and science behind each Scan, how to
properly record each Scan, options available for each Scan, and how the Scans provide you a
diagnostic picture of the patients will all be taught. After this there would be a hands-on portion of
the course to make sure the participant understands and records each pre-TENS Scan correctly. After
this would be a class on how to take a bite registration utilizing the K7/JT and J5.

Advanced NMD with Case Presentation for ICCMO Fellowship At The Right Bite CPC®
We, at The Right Bite, believe in absolute learning; so that once you’ve left our courses you should
be confident in treating the different kind of patients that we deal with day-in and day-out. A
theoretical knowledge of the science is wonderful but a practical know-how from observing the
patient, to history taking and treatment to follow-up, both physically and physiologically is more
important to ensure treatment success.
This course enables you to understand and grasp all of this by observing Dr. Raj work his magic with
his patients. A direct learning experience from the master himself. He will guide you with his team to
be able to successfully present the 3 cases required for acquiring the Fellowship status from ICCMO
over a period of 1 year. It would be an in-house program at any one of The Right Bite centres in
Delhi, Bangalore or Cochin. The schedule will be as per both the participant and Dr. Raj’s availability.
The participant will also be taught how to use the newer concepts in NMD and Biometrics like HRV,
Capnography and Cranial Nerve Screening. The hands-on part of the course will focus more on the
treatment aspect of the K7/BioPak and reiterate how to take a proper bite registration. You will
again work to record both pre and post TENS Scans to further their knowledge of the K7/JT and each
of the Scans. Time will be devoted to reviewing the patient data that was recorded, providing both
insights into how and why the Scans are recorded along with interpretation of each Scan individually
and as a whole.
The practical tips for integrating the K7/BioPak, including the “dynamic decompression” of the TMJ
to register your bite, into your practice will be discussed along with case acceptance and case
completion.
