YEAR OF FAMILIES
Pope Francis has declared the Year of Families beginning March 19, 2021. The movie PRAY: THE
STORY OF PATRICK PEYTON, which was released in 2020, portrays the true story of the man behind
the famous phrase, “The Family That Prays Together Stays Together.” He was a priest on a mission to
promote the Rosary and therefore became known as the ‘Rosary Priest’.
This film will amaze and inspire you! The license to show this movie in 15 parishes (maximum
attendance of 60 due to Covid guidelines) has been obtained for the month of May. If you are
interested in having this powerful movie shown in your parish, please contact: Martin at Holy Cross
Parish 306-347-0929 or email: [email protected]
Please use ‘Pray Movie’ in the subject line of your email.

Saturday at the Easter Vigil Mass. His sponsor is Chuck Sylvester and his
prayer partner is Eileen Goddard.
“God of power, look upon this your servant as he deepens
his understanding of the Gospel.”

E-Transfer Now at Holy Cross
Several parishioners have requested the banking option E-Transfer for making their donations. Holy Cross Parish now accepts
E-transfers for Sunday Offerings and other special donations. The E-Transfer payment method worked very well for last year’s
Drive-Thru Dinner and will become acceptable on a regular basis. The following information is very important when making your
E-Transfers: Send E-Transfers to email – [email protected]
Identify on your E-Transfer – Sunday Offering or other purpose for the donation. e.g. Seminarian Education, Propagation of the Faith, Development and Peace, etc.
If your E-Transfer is for multiple purposes, please state the purpose and amount to be applied for each purpose in the memo sec-tion of the E-Transfer request. e.g. Sunday offering $50, Development and Peace $20, CWL $5, etc.
If you have any questions, please contact the parish office by phone or email.

A Successful Visitation House Food Campaign
The Knights of Columbus would like to thank all parishioners who donated to the Lenten Food Drive for Visitation House. Because of your generosity, we were able to give 353 pounds of non-perishable food items and $120.
Visitation House was very appreciative of the thoughtfulness and kindness of our parish and wished us all a very Happy Easter.
What’s Happening in the Archdiocese
Archdiocese of Regina created Way of the Cross - Through the Voice of Victims Prayed in St. Edmund of Canterbury, England
Holy Week has many symbols, with the cross being one of the most powerful. Victims of clergy sexual abuse carry heavy crosses. In 2017, a group of victims and non-victims from inside and outside the church gathered and entered into a challenging dialogue resulting in a unique work entitled The Way of the Cross-Through the Voice of the Victims. It has been shared and prayed in parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Regina since early 2018 and
was done so on a regular basis.
Covid has of course forced us all to find other ways to reach out since in person interaction has been drastically restricted. Today, I want to draw your attention to a recorded live stream event that occurred on Friday, March 26 in the parish of St. Edmund of Canterbury Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Southwark in England. A day of prayer was held for victims/survivors of sexual abuse, using The Way of the Cross-Through the Voice of Victims. The ability to reach victims on the other side of the ocean by words written here is really a truly amazing accomplishment achieved by working together. I invite you during this Holy Week to take the time to watch the recorded event and enter into the pain of the crucifixion as experienced in the lives of many victims. The following is the link to the recording: https://www.churchservices.tv/beckenham/archive/recordings/uxt3iOvEkrfmIWo Should you wish to follow along with the text you can find a downloadable option on the archdiocese website here:
