“The Rematch”

Jonah 2:1• 1 Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of

the fish's belly,• 2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto

the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, [and] thou heardest my voice.

• 3 For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.

• 4Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.

• 5 The waters compassed me about, [even] to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.

• 6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars [was] about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.

• 7When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.

• 8 They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

• 9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay [that] that I have vowed. Salvation [is] of the LORD.

• 10 And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry [land].

• Jonah 3:1 1And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying,

• 2 Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.

Rematch • A second chance to conquer an opportunity that

was to much for you to handle the first time. • The process of starting over as if the first time

didn’t matter. • The rematch is to face the same opportunity

with a different mindset. • It is a statement that says, I may have lost a fight

but I haven’t lost my will to fight.

• Successful people are those that learn to maximize another chance.

• The Spirit of God always anoints you with the power to comeback after a setback.

John 6:63

• 63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Principle of a second chance

1.Favor is on your side.2.Grace and Mercy are on your side.3.A greater authority believes in you.

John11:41-44• 43And when he thus had spoken, he

cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.• 44And he that was dead came forth,

bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

1.Learn from the mistakes of the first time. 2.Disassociate yourself from the thoughts of

defeat. 3.You must submit yourself to the perfect plan

of God.4.You must believe in your God-given ability.5.You must conquer the fear of defeat and

take your victory.
