Why is ID theft a problem?
• Data is everywhere-200 million records hacked• FTC-8.3 million victims• Law enforcement hands are tied-no jurisdiction• Bad guys are overseas• The crime has no DNA, no blood, no gun• Can’t prove who was sitting at the keyboard• Only 1% investigated• Only .05% prosecuted• Vastly under reported crime• “The Force”…why ID Theft will continue to be a problem for our
life time.
