The Lambs Super (Audio Presentation): Based on his bestselling book, Dr. Scott Hahn reveals the early Christians' key to understanding the Mass: the Book of Revelation. With its bizarre imagery, mystic visions of Heaven, and end-times prophecies, it mirrors the sacrifice and celebration of the Holy Eucharist. See the Mass with new eyes, pray the Liturgy with a renewed heart, and enter into the Mass more fully and enthusiastically!

Loving and Generous God, it is You who call us by name and ask us to follow You.

Help us to grow in the Love and Service of our church as we experience it today. Give us the energy and courage of Your Spirit to shape its future. Grant us faith-filled leaders who will embrace Christ’s Mission of love and jus ce.

Bless our church of Immaculate Heart of Mary by raising up dedicated and generous leaders from our families and friends who will serve Your people as Priests, Sisters, Brothers, Deacons, and Lay Ministers.

Inspire us to know You be er and open our hearts to hear Your call. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen. LivingGod’sWordThe circle of blessing pivots on trust in God. The Chris an community that embraces lowliness will be a place of blessing both here and in eternity. All we really need do is to follow our illogical leader, Jesus, the One whose trust in God brought blessing to the whole world. Copyright © 2013, World Library Publications. All rights reserved.

SAINTJANEOFVALOIS(1464–1505)FeastDay-February4St. Jane was the daughter of King Louis XI of France. She was born in 1464. The king had wanted a son and he was very disappointed with her birth. He did not want Jane to live at the palace because she had been born with a physical deformity. When she was five years old, she was sent to live with other people. Jane was good and gentle with everyone.

She was convinced that Jesus and Mary loved her. She believed the Lord would use her to do good in his name. She was right!

When she grew up Jane decided not to marry, she had given herself to Jesus and his Blessed Mother, but her father forced her to marry the duke of Orleans. Jane was a devoted wife for twenty-two years. When the duke became king, he sent Jane to live by herself in a far-off township. She did not become resen ul, but exclaimed: “God be praised! He has permi ed this that I might serve him be er than I have up to now.

Jane lived a prayerful life and prac ced penances and acts of kindness. She gave all her money to the poor. She started an order of sisters called the Annuncia on of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She spent the rest of her life joyfully serving Jesus and his Mother. Jane died in 1505 and many miracles occurred a er her death. She was proclaimed a saint by Pope Pius XII in 1950.

—Virginia Stillwell Derechos de autor © 2013, World Library Publications. Proper Etiquette for Mass - continued

The celebra on of the Mass throughout the universal church is regulated by the GIRM – the General Instruc on of the Roman Missal. The GIRM states that “the celebra on of Mass, as the ac on of Christ and of the People of God arrayed hierarchically, is the center of the whole Chris an life. For in it is found the high point… by which God sanc fies the world in Christ and of the worship that the human race offers to the Father,” This speaks of the great importance the celebra on of the Mass has for every Catholic. In the weeks ahead we will reflect further upon the way we might allow our par cipa on in the Mass to bear abundant fruit in our lives.
