I wake up at 7:00 every morning.I have three children.My sister lives in Ohio.I am hungry.The book costs a lot of money.

The present tense is also used to describe actions that are characteristic of someone or something, or are regularly repeated.

I run three miles every weekday morning.

The present tense is also used to state:a scientific facta definition,or a piece of accepted wisdom

It is also used when writing about a literary or artistic work.

Third person spelling rules: (he, she, it)

-Most verbs take –s-Add – es to verb ending in ch, s, sh,

x, z -Verbs ending in consonant + y change the – y to ies-Some verbs are irregular.

THE FOLLOWING VERBS TAKE ‘S’in the third person singular form of the verb

The –S ending is pronounced three different ways:

/s/ after the voiceless sounds /p/, /t/, /k/, /f/

/z/ after the voiced sounds /b/, /d/, /g/, /v/, /th/, /m/, /n/, /ng/, /l/, /r/, and all vowel sounds.

/iz/ after the sounds /s/, /z/, /sh/, /zh/, /ch/, /j/ and /ks/
