The Power Spiral Book One (Wizard City)

“I was born in fire, I don’t remember my past, I am a Legend,

I am a Hero, I….am Malorn Dragonheart”.

I’m sure that now you’re aware of my name so I don’t have to repeat it. I have a long history of forgotten secrets I am just a lonely boy lost in a huge universe. I was nothing but a speck in the vastness of the cold, dark, black, Space…..But that…. Was about to change…….

You see, I’m not what you think I am….. But other wizards know me as a normal Pyromancer. Oh, I forgot to explain the wizard thing well, I go to this school called Ravenwood school of the arts its pretty awesome if you ask me and it’s not just one school its Seven:

Fire: Fire is an elemental magic created by the ancient Dragons who roamed the First World. Fire

Magic specializes in DoT or Damage over Time which makes it the strongest school.

Ice: This magic is also elemental it was created by the Frost Giants who ruled the sky of the First World. Ice magic isn’t all that strong when it comes to attacks but Ice Wizards can take a lot of damage without dying.

Storm: The last of the elemental magics Created by the Tritons who ruled the seas of The First World. Storm is the school that packs a punch but put too much power on their attacks so they fizzle a lot and often die quick.

Death: The first of the spirit magics. Death was somewhat created from Storm and Ice. Death uses drains to get the job done and use the undead to do it.

Life: Also a spirit magic. Life is the healing school and was created from Fire and Storm. Life wizards love to heal people so it’s also good to have a Life wizard on your side. Life never fizzles.

Myth: Last of the spirit magic’s. Myth is the cryptic school so you can summon Trolls, Minotaurs, anything. Myth was created from Fire and Ice. Myth

wizards summon minions into battle with them and can attack twice with some spells.

Balance: The center magic. Balance magic lies in the center of the magics and combines all of them. This is the buffing school Balance wizards like to buff other people for stronger attacks.

Well, that’s all of them ….now time to get on with the story.

Chapter one (enrollment)

In Headmaster Ambrose’s house, Professor Ambrose assigns Malorn Dragonheart and his friend Chase to meet their Teachers for the school year. “Malorn and Chase it is time for Enrollment!.” Ambrose said Excited “Sweet! Now we can learn more spells.” Said Malorn “Heh, we’ll be heroes in no time!”Exclaimed Chase as he rubbed his nose with his Thumb “Now, here’s your first assignment go and meet your Professors and I’ll reward you with your first charm and ward spells.”Said Ambrose “Ok, let’s go Malorn.” Said Chase “Right behind you pal.”Said Malorn. Malorn and Chase

walked to Ravenwood but on the way they walked past Jack Storm. “Hi Jack.”Malorn Said

Jack kept walking as if he didn’t hear Malorn “I said Hi.”Malorn said again. Suddenly Jack stopped…and turned back “…..Hello Malorn…..” Jack grunted nearly under his breath “So did you complete your first assignment?” Chase asked. Jack then turned his firely red and orange eyes toward Chase and answered…..

“Why….Yes…yes I have….” “So what spell you get?” Malorn asked. “An accuracy booster of some sort for storm” Answered Jack. “Well good for you Jack, me Malorn gotta hurry catch you later” Said Chase. Jack watched as the two ran to ravenwood for their Assignment then walked away .

The two made it to ravenwood and looked for the first Professor.

“Hey you two! Over here I’m your first professor” Said a balance teacher(Forgot his name sorry) Malorn and Chase quickly ran to the professor. “So you must the instructor for balance” Asked Chase “Yes, Yes I am now time for you to learn about balance, Balance Magic is in the middle of all things and its all about powering or buffing up attacks for you or your friend its different from the

other schools and harder to master but its power is unbelievable stop by later if you two want to learn more Cheers!”Said and explained the Instructor

“Ok next is the storm professor” Said Chase. Once entering the storm school Malorn and Chase is greeted by Haleston Balestrom the Storm professor “Hello students! Welcome to the storm school where Creativity is key!” Professor Balestrom shouted. “Wow, hi I’m Malorn Dragonheart and this is My friend Chase” Said Malorn “Nice to meet you sir.”Chase said nervously. “Now that we know each other its time you learn about storm magic. Storm magic was created by the Tritons who went to war with the Giants and Dragons. Storm wizards or Diviners for short learn this powerful magic so…..if you want to learn more come back if you want to Release your inner Thunder!”Professor Balestrom shouted and explained

“Whew, he was little too excited don’t you think Malorn?”Said Chase “Eh, he was okay I’m looking forward to seeing the fire professor. After seeing Ice Professor Lydia Greyrose Chase and Malorn head to the Fire school. “Well, you ready Malorn?” Asked Chase “You bet I am” Malorn said with Pride.

The two enter the school and a sudden flashback made its way into Malorn’s Mind “Ugh….”grunted Malorn “Hey you okay?” Asked Chase “Yeah…I’m…I’m fine” Malorn shrugged to say.

“Ah, new students welcome to the Fire school I’m Dalia Flamea the Fire professor and I teach Pyromancers how to control and cast fire spells.

The fire arts were created by the Dragons who also went to war with the Giants, and Tritons. Fire can be beautiful but dangerous you must learn to control it. Now you should run along now but I’m always up for fanning the flames so students can learn more about Pyromancy The waved goodbye to Dalia then went on. “Okay three schools left Death, Myth, and Life then we get our new spells!” Malorn said excited.

While walking Chase nearly falls off of Wizard City due to a Huge gap between The myth school and The fire school.

“Whoa! Yah!”Chase screams. “I got you bro!” Malorn grabs Chase in the nick of time “Whew! Thanks pal but what is this huge gap doing here!”Said Chase yelling. “I think it’s what’s left of

the death school Chase.”Malorn suggested “Your right” said Malorn Ashthorn as he walked toward Malorn and Chase “It is said that Malistaire the Death professor caused it to disappear….Hi, I’m Malorn Ashthorn and I don’t mean to boast but I was one of the top death students so I train the newcomers.”Exclaimed Malorn “Hi I’m Malorn Dragonheart and this is Chase he’s a death student too.”Said Malorn. “Really? Well Chase if you want how learn to cast death spells or Necromancy stop by anytime.” Malorn said “I’ll make sure too.” Said Chase with a smile on his face. After talking with Malorn the two go to the Myth school.

As soon as Malorn and Chase enters the Myth school The professor’s eyes lock on them faster than an bald eagle’s eyes and so also happens that he is bald….. he’s Cyrus Drake.

“So you two must be here for the tour ……ugh….I wish they’ll send some adept students for once” Cyrus grunted “Well, let’s get this over with shall we? Myth is all about the mind and its Imagination we use our mind to control creatures we summon now, if you want to learn some myth spells come back later and I’ll see what i can do now..Leave me

alone.” Cyrus explained. Malorn and Chase leave confused. “And there’s the Myth school in a nutshell.” Said Chase mocking the Myth school

The two get a quick laugh and head to the last school... the Life school. Soon after entering Malorn and Chase feel the embracing life aura in the school? “Welcome tourists are you enjoying the tour?”Said Moolinda wu. “Yes, quite.”Said Chase

“This is the life school. Life is beautiful and Lovely this school is about healing others and preserving the life force around us and soon I will teach you how stop by later” explained Professor Wu After an hour of greetings Malorn and Chase complete their Assignment. The two head back to Professor Ambrose’s house for rewarding. “So I see you completed your assignment?”said Ambrose with a smile “Yep, that was a blast!”shouted Malorn “Well, here are your new spells Malorn, you get Fireblade and Chase you get Death Trap.”Ambrose said as he handed out the spells “Congrats you are now official students!”Said Ambrose “Woo-Hoo! Wicked!”Malorn and Chase shouted “Well, now there’s something else I need you to do….. I have new and super assignment for you….Unicorn Way has been Taken over by Skeletal Pirates and there’s only three strong wizards who can take

them on.” Malorn’s eyes sudden go narrow. “Wait….three? there’s only two of us.”Said Malorn “He’s talking about me.” A familiar voice said. A figure came out of the shadows and it was Jack Storm. “You two will team up with Jack to save Unicorn Way.” said Ambrose “The more the merrier” Said Chase. “We’re counting on you three.” said Ambrose. “Don’t worry Headmaster we won’t let you down.”Malorn said with confidence “You ready Jack?” asked Chase. “Heh…the question is Chase……Are you?”said Jack as walked out the door. “Well let’s go.” Said Malorn. Teamed up with Jack Storm Malorn and Chase go to Unicorn Way to fight for its freedom.

Chapter two (three’s company pt.1)

With orders from Headmaster Ambrose.. Jack Storm, Malorn Dragonheart, and Chase head to Unicorn Way to find the Mastermind behind The trouble. On their way there they are stopped. “Halt! Who goes there?”Said Private Stillson “Us.” Answered Jack with a bold look on his face. “No can do young wizards this street has been overrun by the undead so we had to block it off.” Said Private Stillson “But we have orders from the Headmaster.” Said Chase “Not good enough I need

a note From the Headmaster himself.”Said Private Stillson “I have a note.” Malorn pointed out. Private Stillson checked the note out for a while and finally made his answer. “Looks legit..I’ll let you pass show this to Private Connelly on Unicorn Way.” Said Private Stillson. The three continued their walk to Unicorn Way. Once entering they can see the damage done. Swords stuck in the ground, Small fires still burning, Broken Pieces of the arena on the ground, and The Unicorn statue spray painted. “Whoa….talk about damage.”Chase said surprised “Hmph, not that much” Jack said as he rolled his eyes. “Okay guys, let’s start the mission” Said Malorn The three look for Private Connelly for info. “Do you guys see him?”asked Chase. “Negative…..”answered Jack. “No….Wait! here he is!”Shouted Malorn. Malorn managed to find Private Connelly stuck between two huge stones that used to be apart of the arena. “*Cough*Cough* Help me please…..” Groaned Private Connelly “Don’t worry we are here, Guys go find help!”Malorn Shouted Jack and Chase went for help while Malorn tried to pry Private Connelly from the stones. “I’m gonna get you out of here one way or another” Malorn said “I just gotta think…” Malorn had to act fast or Private Connelly wasn’t gonna make it Suddenly Malorn’s

Jade green eyes started to glow and he gained the strength to roll the stones down the hill. “Grrr...Raaaaugh!” Malorn screamed as he pushed the rocks away freeing Connelly from their grasp. “*Cough* *Cough* …..Whew, I thought I was a goner…Heh, now I know what a Pancake feels like.” Said Private Connelly. Malorn’s eyes stop glowing. “Are you okay sir?”asked Malorn “Yeah, I am thanks uh….what’s your name?.” asked Private Connelly. “Malorn Dragonheart sir.” answered Malorn. “Well, Mr. Dragonheart I can’t thank you enough for saving me.” Said Private Connelly said with a smile.

Jack and Chase comes back and sees the rocks rolled down the hill as if a huge force moved them. “Whoa!…Malorn did you move the rocks?” Asked Chase. “He sure did!” Said Private Connelly answering for Malorn . “Interesting …..” Said Jack. Malorn gives the note from Headmaster Ambrose to Connelly. “Huh? What’s this?” Asked Private Connelly. “A note from the Headmaster to pass onto the streets.” Malorn Answered. “Has the Headmaster gone nuts! This street is crawling with the undead you guys will be gone in no time!”Shouted Private Connelly. “How bad is it?” Asked Jack. “Let me start from the

beginning…….One day, when I was guarding……The sky soon turned dark and lighting struck near my post knocking me off my feet….Afterwards, Bone hands started to stick out of the ground and so arose The Skeletal Pirates and their Unknown Leader…..Novice Wizards tried to stop them….But….they didn’t make it.” Explained Private Connelly “Tragic story but we have a chance against those Boneheads.” Said Jack. “And we are determined to save Unicorn Way” Chase added. “So please, help us defeat this evil.” Malorn asked. “*Sigh*…..Ok, I’ll help you but watch your back….Here’s your first Mission I have found a secret abandoned house inhabited by a few Skeletal Pirates just a few blocks down the Way go there and defeat them and they will give you info.”Explained Private Connelly “Ok, let’s rock guys!”shouted Malorn. The three Novices started run down the way and in a few seconds they reach the house. “Well, here we are.”Exclaimed Chase. “How are we gonna do this are we gonna burst in?”Jack Asked. “Yep, but let’s have a look see first.” Said Malorn. Jack, Malorn, and Chase peek though cracked windows to see three Skeletal Pirates joking around and drinking XXX Rum.“Well that’s original much, don’t you think?”Asked Malorn “Lets bust through on 3……

1…..2….3!”Shouted Jack The three break in with their Wands locked and Glowing. “Gah! Wizards!” Screamed Larry the Skeletal Pirate. “Yuk, Yuk, Yuk, no big deal.” Said Curly the Skeletal Pirate. “Whatcha you morons doing get them!”Yelled Moe the Skeletal Pirate. Malorn blasted his wand destroying Larry. “Larry! Noooooo! Wise guy eh?”Curly said. Curly charges toward Malorn but Chase throws his Wand at Curly’s head and he turns to dust. “Curly! Larry! My brothers!”Cried Moe. “Argggh! You sons of scallywags! You’ll pay!”shouted Moe the Skeletal Pirate. Jack pointed his wand at Moe and so did Malorn and Chase. “Not so fast Bonehead, make one move and you’ll be dust in the wind.” Jack said. Moe kneels down knowing the jigs up. “Oh please don’t kills me I’ll tells ya everything I know!”Cried Moe. “Okay, what is the main plan your leader is Planning?” Chase asked. “He’s Planning to corrupt the fairies for his Master that’s all I knows.” Said Moe the Skeletal Pirate. “Hmm….Well, thanks for the info.”Malorn said. “So, you won’t kill me?”Moe Asked. “We didn’t say that.” Said Chase. “ Wait…..Wait!”shouted Moe. The wands fired, destroying Moe the Skeletal Pirate. “Corruption….what a effective motive …I’m surprised the Skeletal Pirates came up with that

considering the fact that they’re morons.” Jack pointed out. “Either way we can’t let them get to that goal.”Malorn said. The three left the house to report to Private Connelly. “You made it back! I never had any doubt that you whouldn’t.”Said Private Connelly. The three raise their eyebrows knowing that was a lie. “Okay, maybe just one tiny doubt……Anyway what info did you get?”Asked Private Connelly. “The Leader of the Skeletal Pirates is planning to corrupt the fairies on this street.”Said Malorn. “What! No way, ….I don’t know much about the Fairies but maybe Ceren Nightchant does.”Private Connelly said. “Who’s that?”Asked Chase. “A life student who’s also investigating the street… Talk to him I can no longer help you.”Said Private Connelly. “Ok thanks for everything.” Malorn said. “No problem.”Connelly said as he turned back to his post. The three walk around looking for Ceren and eventually they find him picking pink berries from a tree. “Hey, are you Ceren Nightchant?” Asked Jack. Ceren turned around and looked at Jack, Malorn, and Chase. “Yes? Can I help you?”Asked Ceren. “We’re here to stop the soon to be Corruption of the fairies.” Chase answered. “I’m afraid your too late it already has began.”Ceren sadly said. “What! That Skeletal Pirate gave us the

slip!”Shouted Malorn. “Calm down Malorn, we can still stop this.” Said Jack. “He is right there’s still a chance we can stop this but in order to do so I must see how bad the corruption is go fight some Dark Fairies and come back with some cloth.” Said Ceren. So the three head deeper into Unicorn Way where the Dark Fairies lie. “Ok we are here where’s the Fairies?” Jack said puzzled. Suddenly…. “We’re right here!”Said Blossom the Dark Fairy. The three are ambushed by the Poisonpuff Fairies? “Whoa, they’re fast!” Shouted Chase. “Let me take you for a Spin!”Said Bubbles the Dark Fairy. Bubbles grabs Chase and spin him around nearly to Oblivion! “*Giggle* you’re on a spin cycle.”Chuckled Bubbles. “Whoa waaaaghhhhh!” Shouted Chase as he was spinning. Buttercup the Dark Fairy flew fast with her fist out and POW! Punched Malorn right in the face. “Ouch……heh, nice right hook but why don’t you try mine!”Malorn Shouted. Malorn managed to Punch Buttercup out of the air sending her landing hard to the ground. “Ugh…….”Groaned Buttercup. Suddenly she exploded sending fairy dust flying everywhere. “That’s what I call Volcanic Punch!”said Malorn. “Don’t ever say that again Malorn.”Said Jack. “Gotcha!”Shouted Chase as he grabbed Bubbles. “Sorry, but I don’t do dances.”Bubbles said.

Bubbles started to fly taking Chase with her and started flying in circles. “How can a tiny fairy be so strong!”Chase shouted as he was flung to the ground. Chase hit the ground hard and did four filps until finally landing on his stomach. “Chase! Grrr take this!” Shouted Malorn. Malorn’s wand shot flares at Blossom and Bubbles Destroying them in the process then He and Jack ran to Chase. “Chase! Chase!”Yelled Malorn. “What!”Chase yelled back. “We thought you were dead.”Jack said. “I’m a Death Wizard we don’t die.”Chase claimed. “Oh yeah, that’s right……ugh we didn’t get any cloth.”Malorn said. “I wouldn’t said that.”Chase said as he held up a piece of cloth. “Nice going! Chase ..now lets’ get back to Ceren. After nearly dying the three go back to Ceren for further Instructions. “You have the Cloth?”Ceren Asked. “Yes, and it was hard to do it.”Jack answered. “Sorry, but it had to be done…..Now let’s see how bad this is.”Said Ceren. Ceren look at the cloth for about 5 minutes then finally spoke up. “This is Bad, Really Bad!”Ceren Shouted. “How so?” Chase Asked. “The Fairies have been turned to undead!” Yelled Ceren. “I can’t believe it…….well there’s only one thing to do go see Lady Oriel at the end of Unicorn Way.”Said Ceren. “Very Well, lets go guys.”Malorn said. Jack, Malorn, and

Chase run to the Hedge Maze where Lady Oriel lies. “There it is! The Hedge Maze.”Said Malorn. The three reached door and they hear screams and yells. “What’s going on in there?”Jack said. “All right Wise guys get in the line! Your all going to the bone cages Yuk, Yuk, Yuk. A familiar Voice said. “So it seems there’s Skeletal Pirates in there.”Chase said. “Lets save them!”Malorn said. “On 3…..1 ….2 ….3!”Shouted Jack. The three bust through the door to find the same Skeletal Pirates from earlier. “You three again!”Yelled Larry the Skeletal Pirate. “You may have beaten us but we’re back and better than ever Yuk, Yuk, Yuk.”Curly the Skeletal Pirate said. “Now face your do—Before Moe finished his speech The Three fired their wands. ‘Blah, Blah, Blah, just die already.”Malorn said. After Larry’s, Curly’s, and Moe’s second defeat the Three untie all the fairies and Lady Oriel. “Oh thank you for saving us Wizards we are forever in debt to you.” Said Lady Oriel. “Your Welcome ….My name is Malorn Dragonheart and this is Jack Storm and My friend Chase we are here to solve the problem with Unicorn Way.”Malorn said. “Finally, some help I thought Ambrose might have forgot about me and my Fairies.”Said Lady Oriel. “If I might ask what are Bone Cages?”Jack Asked. “I don’t know but please…..free my fairies

from them ..go…and destroy them.”Lady Oriel begged. “Ok, we will let go guys.”Chase said. The Three destroy all of the cages and return to Lady Oriel. “All of them are destroyed Lady Oriel what do we do now?”Jack said and Asked. “There is a Skeleton who leads the Pirates and he is haunting my street go to Ceren and ask if he knows anything about him.

“Its showtime Guys.”Said Malorn. On the walk back The three prepared for their first boss battle and how awesome it will be. “Ceren its time for us to face the mastermind.”Jack said. “Do you know his name?”Chase asked. “Yes, I now know ……Rattlebones is the culprit behind it all! He lies in my old friends tower just a few blocks away Go and Defeat to save Unicorn Way!” Ceren Shouted. “All right, its butt-kicking time!”Malorn said. “Onward to Rattlebone’s Tower!”Chase Shouted.

After hours of hard work The three are ready to take on Rattlebones the Mastermind behind the Assault on Unicorn Way….The Epic showdown begins Now!

Malorn opens the door to the tower and there in the middle of the floor stands Rattlebones…… “Its about time you guys show up……so you three have

Uncovered one of Malistaire’s plans The Fairy Corruption is just the Beginning of Malistaire’s plans soon Wizard City will fall! And there isn’t anything anybody can do about it Ahahahahahaha!”Yelled Rattlebones. “Sorry but you or this Malistaire person won’t destroy our home as long as we’re alive!”Said Malorn. “Keyword There: Alive.”Said Rattlebones as he grabbed his sword. “All right, let’s have it!”Shouted Rattlebones. Rattlebones charged toward Jack, Malorn, and Chase holding his shield and sword up. Malorn jumps and fires flares at Rattlebones from his wand. Chase and Jack circles around him firing their wands as well. “Ha! Your puny wands attacks are no match against me!”Rattlebones Taunted. “Let me show you real power!”Rattlebones shouted. Rattlebones threw his sword in a boomerang-like style. The sword flew around the room hitting Jack and Chase. “Yikes!”Shouted Chase. “That was indeed a close call.” Jack Said. The sword continued to fly around until Malorn blasted it, The Sword flew back to Rattlebones hitting him in the process. “Argggh! You little pests!” Rattlebones shouted. “Heh, don’t you know playing with swords is dangerous.”Chase said Taunting Rattlebones. “Ugh! Fine let’s even the odds a bit.” Rattlebones said. Rattlebones

summoned two Dark Fairies to his aid but they didn’t attack Malorn or Jack or Chase Instead, they started to hold their hands up in the air and started giving their power to Rattlebones Sword. “Now….using the Death energy and the remaining Life energy of these two pathetic Fairies I can charge all that energy into my sword…..Prepare to be blown into Oblivion!” Rattlebones Yelled. The sword continued to build up energy and the three had to act fast when suddenly Malorn came up with an idea. “Hey Jack, what happens when something takes in too much energy?”Malorn asked. “Well, it overloads and explodes why?”Jack answered. “Fire at the sword now!” Malorn Shouted. Without hesitation the three start Firing at the sword giving it more energy. “You fools! Your helping me destroy you!”Rattlebones Yelled. “Keep Firing!”Malorn Shouted. The Dark Fairies skin dried up and soon they turned to dry, dead, fairy dust. “Its over Wizards! Game…..Set……..Ma--- Huh? What! My Sword has taken in too much energy! I ca—can’t control it! Noooo!”Rattlebones Yelled. Rattlebones sword exploded due to Overloading Energy. When the dust settled Rattlebones was still alive but he lost an arm. “My arm! Its gone!.....you….meddlesome wizards!”Rattlebones Yelled. “Aww, now is that a

way to talk to your destroyers?”Chase said once again taunting Rattlebones. “I may be down by I’m not out!”Rattlebones Yelled. Rattlebones rose up and ran through the metal bars using his shield leading up to the next floors of the tower. “Stop him!”Jack yelled. The three ran after him. Rattlebones knocked down things to slow Malorn and Jack and Chase down but it really wasn’t working. “Ugh! Their like flies ….will never leave you alone!”Rattlebones Yelled while running. Jack starts firing at Rattlebones but misses all of his shots. The Chase continues as Rattlebones and the Wizards reaches the final floor. “Okay, time to take this outside!”Rattlebones yelled. Rattlebones leaped high enough to bust through the tower window. “Whoa! Impressive……Guys might I suggest that we cast some spells?”Jack Said. “Already ahead of you Jack, Let’s rock.” Malorn said. The three pulled out spell cards: Fire Cat, Thunder Snake, and Frost Beetle and threw them down at the ground and jumped…..onto their new mounts. “Now let’s see who has speed now Rattlebones.”Malorn said. The three and their mounts take off and leap toward the broken window making a huge hole . “Onward!....let’s finish what we started.”Chase Yelled. Down the way Rattlebones takes a rest. “Ugh…what a

workout…..looks like I lost them.”Rattlebones said. But Rattlebones was wrong cause Malorn, Chase, and Jack jumped out of nowhere on their mounts. “What! Impossible!”Rattlebones Yelled. “You didn’t honestly think you would get away did you?”Malorn Said. “I was close to…..I’ll admit you guys are strong but not strong enough to defeat Malistaire he’ll crush you fools….”Rattlebones said. “Really?....well…we’ll let the future decide that.”Jack said as he pointed his wand at Rattlebones. Rattlebones kicked sand in Malorn’s , Chase’s and Jack’s eyes and made a quick getaway. “See you later fools!”Rattlebones said. The three regained their vision then went after Rattlebones. “You can’t escape us Rattlebones!”Chase shouted. Rattlebones ran past the arena nearing the exit of Unicorn Way and the entry into the Commons. “He’s gonna escape!”Jack shouted. “Not on my watch.”Malorn said. You bested that wretched skeleton Rattlebones…..I wish that was the end all of Wizard City’s trouble but alas, it is not to be….I think you guys should report back to Headmaster Ambrose he’ll like to hear this.”Ceren said. The three head back to the Commons. “We did it guys….this is just the beginning soon we’ll save more people.”Malorn said. What a waste of my Mana Recreating that bag of bones….These Novices are fast becoming trouble but not matter……they’re no match for my Undead army! Ahahahahhahahahaaa!”Yelled Malistaire. After defeating Rattlebones and saving Unicorn Way…Malorn, Jack, and Chase set out on yet another quest but as they go Malistaire, The Nercomaster is watching their every move.

Chapter three (three’s company pt.2)

After getting some needed rest Malorn, Jack, and Chase head out at sunrise to deliver The note from Headmaster Ambrose to Sergeant Muldoon. note isn’t enough.”Said Sergeant Muldoon. “Ok, what do you need us to do?”Said Chase. “The Undead are continuing their rebellion against us living taking over street after street I’m afraid if we lose Olde Town it’s all over so I need you three to defeat Lady Blackhope and lock her in her tower on Unicorn Way with her out of the way the Undead’s chances of reaching Olde Town will be slim….Do that and I’ll let you pass.”Said Sergeant Muldoon. “No problem for us.”Said Jack. The Trio heads to Unicorn Way for one last time to Defeat Lady Blackhope A Undead army Commander. The Trio reaches near the Tower and its guarded heavy by lost souls. “Great, there’s no way we can fight all those Ghosts.” said Chase. “There’s Gotta be a another way around.” Said Jack. “Hey, look we can climb onto this house and make a jump into the window.”Malorn Suggested. “Uh……I don’t know that Malorn.”Chase said. “You gotta live for the Thrill Chase.”Malorn said as he climbed on to the nearby house. “Okay, Ready?.....Jump!” Malorn Shouted. I heard about those things very dangerous…..”Chase said. “Okay, anyway the three streets are now open to you but a girl on Triton Avenue needs help her Name is Susie Gryphonbane she says her brother is lost or something like that can you three help her out?”Sergeant Muldoon asked. “Sure, we’ll help anybody in need.” Malorn said. The trio heads to Triton Avenue, A another Street ruled by the Undead Army. Once entering the trio knows what they’re up against. “This place is crawling with Undead!”Yelled Jack. “Okay guys, let’s find Susie.”Said Malorn. Near the end of the street Lord Nightshade, A Undead Army Leader haves a talk with The Harvest Lord, The high ruler of Triton Avenue. “Report.”Lord Nightshade said. “My minions now can use Storm magic which we make

them stronger.” The Harvest Lord said. “Good, soon we can make our move and destroy the Mill, The source nearly all magic here in Wizard City but we can’t afford to displease Malistaire.”Lord Nightshade Said. “And we won’t, we’ll crush Ambrose and this Little Wizard Resistance!”The Harvest Lord shouted. “That’s not true! Meanwhile……The Trio known as The Wizard Resistance are looking for Susie Gryphonbane find out the root of problems here on Triton Avenue. “There she is guys! The Trio makes it to the Cave Entrance but also finds the Root of Undead outbreak…..The broken gate leading into the Haunted Cave. “So this must be where all the Undead was until they broke out.” Chase said. “And for the looks of the broken bars Malistaire must have blasted the gate with huge force freeing the Undead.”Malorn added. “Well, let’s go in and search the cave.”Jack said. The Trio make their way into the Haunted Cave the original home of the Undead in Wizard City…..The ceiling is nothing but rocky sharp Stag Bites, The Air smells of rotten corpses, Pale white fog travels on the ground.”Okay, start looking for clues.”Chase said. “Hey guys I found a broken wand!”Jack shouted. “This must be Arthur’s wand.”Malorn said. “The Undead must have kidnapped him!”Chase said. “Let’s report back to Susie.”Malorn said. The Trio returns back to Susie with bad news. “Your back…..so what happened?”Susie Asked. Malorn hands Arthur’s broken wand to Susie. “I’m afraid he’s…..been kidnapped by The Undead.”Malorn said. “Oh No! I knew he was in trouble.”Susie cried.”Don’t worry we’ll find him and take down the one responsible we just need to find some

leads.”Jack said. “There’s a Death student named Duncan Grimwater, he’s also battling the Undead problem on this street He’s a little snobbish but he might know something about the Undead go check with him.”Susie said. The Trio faced with a hostage problem goes to see Duncan Grimwater their last hope… “Hey Duncan!”Malorn yelled. “Huh? Heh, Well, Well, Well, Isn’t it The Wizard Resistance.”Duncan said. “We’re here investigating the happenings of Triton Avenue and The Disappearance of Arthur Gryphonbane.” Jack Explained. “So Susie’s Brother is missing huh? Well, that’s what happens when you send Storm Students to do a Death Students job.”Duncan said. “We need your help Duncan, have you seen anything strange about the Undead lately.”Chase asked. “Well, they have been looking at the Mill awfully close and some of them have been using Storm magic.”Duncan said. “That’s Impossible, The Undead are entitled to Death magic only.”Chase said. “True, but they sure have been using Storm magic.”Duncan said. “They must be wearing something that allows them to change to Storm magic.”Jack said. “Excellent theory Jack, I have an idea go defeat some Undead and bring back any strange items on them.”Duncan said. The Trio heads up the street to fight some of the Undead.

“Dorks!” said Kevin the Ghoul. “Man! I hate Kevin he thinks he rules the Triton Cul-de-sac because he has a bike.” Said Eddy the Ghoul. “Ha h---Ahhhhh!”Screamed Kevin as he was blasted off his bike by Malorn. “Whoa! Tower before Nightshade arrived.”Duncan said. “Nightshade must have given The Medallions to the undead ruler of this street.”Malorn said. “Right, and it’s time we find out who that is go and get some crystals from Blad Raveneye The miller then come back to me.”Duncan said. The Trio is close to freeing Triton Avenue from the Undead’s grasp. “Hey, it’s The Wizard Resistance! What can I do for you guys?”Blad said. “We need some crystals for Duncan to examine.”Jack answered. “Sorry, the Undead took all my supplies of crystals and most them are drained of magic…..wait I have an idea fight a Scarlet Screamer for a Crystal and take it back to Duncan.”Blad said. “Okay, thanks.”Malorn said. The Trio runs down the street looking for a Banshee who might have a crystal. Suddenly they spot one carrying one. “Stop right there!”Malorn shouted. “Hand over the crystal.”Jack said. The Banshee looks at the three and starts screaming loud. “AHHHHHHHHHHH!” The Banshee screamed. “Ugh! It’s too….Loud!”Chase Yelled. “Why….don’t….you….Shut Up!”Jack Yelled. Duncan mutters some magic words and waves his wand over the Medallion and Crystal …..Suddenly a blue fog appears uncovering the Culprit. “A Scarecrow?” Chase said. “Not just any Scarecrow it’s The Harvest Lord! And he has kidnapped Arthur! Go tell Susie that The Harvest Lord is the culprit and that he has captured her brother!”Duncan said. The Trio ran to Susie. “Susie! Susie! The Harvest Lord is the Culprit and he has captured your brother!”Malorn Yelled. “He has my brother! Oh no! go to his tower and defeat him and stop all the Haunting on this street.”Susie said. “All Right boys…..Let’s Rock!”Malorn said. The Battle for Triton Avenue is about to begin Between The Wizard Resistance and The Harvest Lord……The trio enters the tower and quickly sees Arthur but not The Harvest Lord….. “Arthur!”Malorn says as he walks toward Arthur. “Look up!”Arthur Shouted. The Harvest Lord leaps from the ceiling and fires his deadly fire attack but luckily the trio evades quick enough. “That was close.”Jack said. “Heeheeheehahaha! I almost had you fools……So……this is the Infamous Wizard Resistance…..I’m

not very impressed.” The Harvest Lord said. “So you’re the one behind the mayhem on this street.”Malorn said. “I sure am and once I’m done burning you fools to a crisp I’ll be the ruler of all the streets!”The Harvest Lord yelled. “Out of the Question, Pumpkin head your going down!”Chase Shouted. “Then come…..Come face me Resistance!”The Harvest Lord said. The battle then began The wizards started firing their wands while The Harvest Lord flew around continuing to fire his deadly attack at the Wizards. “Take this! And that!” The Harvest Lord yells. The trio are doing good dodging The Harvest Lord’s attack. “Grrr Take this!”The Harvest Lord Yelled. The Harvest Lord fired his attack at Jack but he jumped and the fire hit a spiral shield deflecting it back out the window and Jack saw this. “That’s it!”Jack thought. Jack ran to shield and grabbed it. “Hey, over here! Give me your best shot!”Jack Yelled holding the shield behind his back. “Finally, I can kill one of you fools, prepare yourself!”The Harvest Lord shouted. “Jack no! What are you doing?!”Malorn shouted. “Are you ready?”The Harvest Lord said. “Heh, The question is Harvest Lord…….are you?”Jack replied. The Harvest Lord fires and Jack pulls up the shield and it deflects the blast back to The Harvest Lord setting him on fire.

“What! No…….Impossible! I can’t lose!”The Harvest Lord shouted. “Jack….you did it you beat him!”Malorn said. “I think the correct term is….We beat him.”Jack said. “It’s over Harvest Lord!”Chase shouted. “N-n-n-n-no matter Lord Nightshade will avenge me and this city will……..Fall…….”The Harvest Lord said. The Harvest Lord vaporized and with that comes the freedom of Triton Avenue and Arthur Gryphonbane. Later near the Mill. “Thank you for saving my Brother and The Street we can’t thank you enough.”Susie said. “That’s one more threat gone and Malistaire’s Undead Army is decreasing…..But Lord Nightshade is still out there the faster we can get to him the faster we can get to Malistaire.”Malorn said. “You might want to check back with Headmaster Ambrose and tell him everything that has transpired here.”Duncan said. And so, The Wizard Resistance defeats another Undead Army Commander and Frees another Street. The trio arrives at Ambrose’s House. “Ah, Well isn’t The Wizard Resistance how’s everything going my students?”Ambrose said. “We have freed Triton Avenue and defeated The Harvest Lord.”Malorn said. “My Goodness, You defeated The Harvest Lord?! Oh great job young Apprentices not many wizards can make that claim.” Ambrose said. “You three are fast becoming famous around

here keep up the good work!”Ambrose said. In Nightshade’s Tower, Lord Nightshade has gotten wind of the current events. “…..So, The Wizard Resistance has defeated The Harvest Lord……Malistaire won’t be happy to hear that…….These wizards are certainly pests but I won’t them foil my plan…..Once the mill is destroyed all magic in Wizard City will fade! Hahahhahhahhhahahahahaha!”Lord Nightshade yelled. After saving Triton Avenue from the clutches of The Harvest Lord the Wizard Resistance prepares to take on Cyclops Lane another Street ruled by the Undead Army.

Chapter four (An eye for an eye)

After defeating The Harvest Lord The Resistance has another job to do: The Cyclopes on Cyclops Lane have teamed up with the Undead Army….Faced with this problem The Resistance must break the Alliance between them. The Resistance meets with Sergeant Muldoon for briefing. “Great Job defeating The Harvest Lord now that he’s gone Triton Avenue will be a safer place….But there’s another problem, a kid named Nolan Stormgate is in some trouble so I want you three to see what the trouble is over in Cyclops Lane.”Sergeant Muldoon said. “Okay, let’s go

Resistance!”Malorn shouted. The trio head to Cyclops Lane to team up with Nolan, A myth student to tackle the Undead and the Cyclopes. Once entering, the trio is oddly surprised. “Wow, I thought it would be worse.”Chase said. “Yeah, I’m pretty surprised too.”Jack said. “Hmm…I see no Undead either just trolls.”Malorn said. The three keep walking until they reach the Parkground and are immediately called over by Nolan. “Hey, over here!”Nolan shouted. “There he is guys.”Jack said. “Ah, The Wizard Resistance…well... you guys did a good job freeing Triton Avenue from The Harvest Lord but freeing Cyclops Lane won’t be a “Walk in the Park”…..ha-ha get it?”Nolan said and joked. The three really didn’t answer the corny joke that Nolan told. “You know because we’re in a park? …..Forget it, anyway let tell you of the Alliance the Cyclops have with the Undead…..One day, The Undead started to pop up everywhere… They were leaking from the Dark cave…..The Cyclopes defended the Lane and Professor Drake summoned Trolls to help the Cyclopes fight against the Undead but…..they had other ideas. Soon The Undead ran off and The Trolls took over…some Cyclopes left the Cyclops legion and became Mercenaries…..Soon the Undead returned but with a deal… If the Cyclops Legion let the Undead Army

claim Cyclops Lane then they would take care of the Mercenaries and The Trolls and The Cyclops Legion Leader General Achilles agreed to the deal but it was all a trick…..After the Undead got their wish they didn’t bother to fight the Trolls or the Mercenaries they just added another street to their list.”Nolan Explained. “Does the General know about the betrayal?”Chase asked. “He found out and he wanted to break the deal between The Legion and the Undead Army but their Supreme Leader said otherwise…”Nolan said. “Malistaire.”Malorn said to Jack and Chase. “And that’s it.”Nolan Finished. “Ok, let’s get to work guys.”Malorn said. As three began walking Nolan stopped them. “Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Where do you guys think you’re going?”Nolan asked. “Um…..to investigate.”Chase replied. “I don’t think so you got to do something for me first, I want to see if you guys are the Real Deal as people claim you are. Go to the Dark Cave and fight The Undead until you find the Runed Skull. I asked some other students to do it but they chickened out.”Nolan said. “Fine, no problem for us.”Malorn said. The trio venture into the Dark Cave to find the Runed Skull, a long-forgotten artifact which processes strange abilities. Upon entering, the three can barely see anything. “How’s does Nolan suspect us to get a

skull when we can’t see!”Chase Yelled. “Use your wands to see around” Malorn said. Using their Wands to see in the dark, the three look for the Runed Skull when suddenly they find the holder of it. “Hey! You hand over that skull!”Jack Yelled. “Not a chance flesh monkeys!”The skeleton shouted. “Okay, we asked nicely.”Malorn said. Malorn blasted the skull out of the Skeletons hand. The skull hit the ground with a lot of force and a faint blue light started to shine brighter in the skull’s eyes. “You think you’re tough guys eh? Let’s get them boys!”The Skeleton shouted. Suddenly, about a hundred Armored Skeletons appeared out of the dark point they’re swords at the trio. “Nolan’s so going to get it if we get out of here.”Jack said. “Say your last goodb--- Huh? The skull is glowing?!”The Skeleton shouted. The skull started to glow and float. As it rose its eyes got brighter and then The Skeletons start lift up into the air. Suddenly, they’re torn apart and sucked into the skull……for a minute it goes silent…..Then, the skull outshines the entire cave blinding the trio. “Ugh, talk about a night light!”Malorn said. The light stops shining exposing the new enemy. The Runed Skull sucked the Skeletons into its hollow darkness then created a Bone Golem from the Skeletons bones with the black Runed Skull as the head.

“Oh……..Crud.”Chase said scared. “Guys w-we can’t stop that.”Jack said shuttering. “RAAAAAAGGGGGH!”The Bone Golem roared. “Run!”Malorn shouted. The Golem chased the trio throughout the Cave never slowing down. But Malorn came up with a idea. “Guys, you distract him while I set up a trap I’ll give you the signal then you run to me.”Malorn said. “Ok, I hope this works.”Chase said. Jack and Chase fired wand attacks at The Golem to catch his attention. Malorn ran over a nearby tree and used his magic to bend the tree back. Then gave his signal. “Say goodnight freak show!”Jack shouted. Jack and Chase ducked and Malorn released the tree from his magic grip. The tree whipped back hitting and knocking the Runed Skull off of the Bone Golem. The Bone Golem spontaneously exploded and Malorn caught the skull.”We’re done here guys let’s report back to Nolan.”Malorn said. The trio made it back to Nolan but they weren’t happy. “Here’s your dumb skull.”Malorn said rudely. “Took you guys long enough, but good job.”Nolan said. “Now, let’s get on with the investigation. There were some students here fighting with Professor Drake but went they missing, Now I’ve been searching for them ever since.”Nolan said. “Have you found any clues?” Jack asked. “No, but I think

one of the trolls has one clue.. so go get it so we can continue with the investigation.”Nolan said. The trio heads further into Cyclops Lane and less than a second they see a bunch of trolls walking around. “No wonder these guys are having so much trouble.”Malorn said. Its takes forever to find the troll with the clue but finally the trio spots the Troll with the clue. “Me must keep note safe.”Kronk the Troll said. “Hey! Hand over that note!”Chase yelled. “No! Me masstur said to keep it safe ore he’ll pummel me!”Kronk screamed. “Last chance, hand it over.”Jack said sticking up his wand. “No, me can’t be pummeled.”Kronk said. “Fine, we warned you.”Malorn said. The trio fired their wands, killing Kronk. Malorn then picked up the note and saw the letter “M” on the note. “All Right let’s go back to inform Nolan.”Malorn said. The trio head back to the park to see what Nolan has to say about the note. “Did you find a clue?”Nolan asked. “Yes and it’s a note.”Malorn answered. “Let me see, hmm…..it’s addressed to a “M” person whoever that is….”Nolan said. “This is what the note says: “Master, I have captured the students as you have order me to do what do want me to do with them? Sincerely, General Achilles.” So it seems Achilles is the one responsible for the disappearance of the students.”Nolan said. “And

this “M” person or should I say Malistaire forced him to do it.”Jack added. “Malistaire, The former Death professor?!”Nolan shouted. “Yes, he’s the leader of the Undead Army.”Malorn said. “Hmm, I didn’t know that…..Well, it’s time for you guys to face General Achilles but first you need a Warhorn pass to get by the Guard he isn’t the brightest Cyclops around so it should be easy to get by him.”Nolan said. “It’s Showtime guys! Let’s show Achilles how The Wizard Resistance gets it done.”Malorn said. The trio defeats Warhorns and obtains Warhorn passes and heads to the Fort where General Achilles lies. When approaching the Fort, The trio can see Undead Army flags dotting the top of Achilles Fort. The trio shows their passes to the Guard. “Uh….You guys don’t look like Warhorns to me but uh…I guess you can go in.”The guard said. Malorn opens the door and the three pull up their wands. “Achilles! Achilles jumped and slammed his hammer on to the ground making a huge shockwave. The shockwave pushed the trio into the wall. “Ugh! That hurt.”Malorn said. “Heh, Now do you see how strong I am.”Achilles boasted. “That shockwave is effective but I have of getting around it.”Malorn whispered to Jack and Chase. “How?”Jack asked. “Just follow me.”Malorn whispered. “It looks like you guys want another shockwave….Well, prepare for the strongest one!”Achilles shouted. Achilles jumped. “Ready…”Malorn Whispered. Achilles slams his hammer down. “Go!”Malorn shouted. The trio took off just as Achilles came down with his hammer. Malorn jumped on the side top of the hammer while Jack and Chase went different directions. Malorn ran up the hammer to Achilles face, charged up his fire wand and fired right in the face and eye of Achilles blinding him. “Aagggh! My eye!” Achilles screamed. The hammer slams into Achilles face knocking him on the ground. “N-n-n no w-way I have been defeated…..”General Achilles Groaned. Chapter Five (Fiery shadows)

The Wizard Resistance, A group of four elite wizards fighting the Undead Army, Now will take on Firecat Alley the last street to free from the Undead. The team meets up with Sergeant Muldoon for one last time. “Congrats on saving Cyclops Lane Resistance now there is only one left….Firecat Alley. Private Quinn has been investigating the strange occurrences and says The Fire elves have been acting strange lately….so go to Firecat Alley and discover what’s going on.”Sergeant Muldoon said. “Alright its hero saving time.”Malorn said. The team heads to Firecat Alley, Home of the Fire Elves. When walking into The Street the team quickly sees Undead, Some entering, some leaves back into the Dark Cave. “Undead are everywhere.”Daniel said. “Headmaster Ambrose was right this place has more Undead solders than Cyclops Lane or Triton Avenue.”Jack said. “Heh, I guess our reputation got too high.”Chase said with a chuckle. “Looks like I’m in my element I feel myself stronger.”Malorn said.

When looking around, another wizard walks up to the team. “Hi there, I’m Luke Spiritsword and I’m investigating the happenings of this street too you four must be The Wizard Resistance.”Luke said and asked. “Yes we are. Hi, I’m Malorn Dragonheart.”Malorn said. “Oh, you don’t have to introduce yourselves I already know your names.”Luke said. “Ok...”Chase said. “Sergeant Muldoon didn’t say anything about extra help.”Jack said. “Well, I’m here to give an extra hand.”Luke said. “Fair enough.”Daniel said. Jack was suspicious about Luke after he said their names wondering how he knew their names. “Hey Malorn.”Jack whispered. “Yeah?”Malorn whispered back. “I don’t know about this guy he seems suspicious he knew our names before we said them.”Jack whispered. “Oh relax everybody knows us.”Malorn whispered. “Ok….but I’m keeping my eyes on him.”Jack whispered. their name or they’ll take it by force but we refused to let the Undead take over another street and so we fought The Fire Elves wasn’t going to give up so easily and neither was I….Cause you see, A Fire Elf named Feebo saved my life one day and I have been friends with the Fire Elves ever since but just as it was looking we were about to run them off The Elves started to attack me and some other some other wizards that lived here but soon later moved. Unable to stop the Elves, The Undead took over the street.”Private Quinn said. “That’s strange why would the Elves just turn on you guys?”Malorn said. “I don’t know but something’s up go look around Fireglobe Theater where the Fire Elves lives and look for clues.”Private Quinn said. The five heads to the theater and looks around. “I don’t see anything but Undead Army flags.”Luke said. “Ugh, let’s back back.”Chase said. The five go back to Private Quinn. “Find anything?”Private Quinn asked. “Nope, nothing.”Daniel answered. “Hmm…..i have an idea, go duel some Fire Elves and bring back 3 arrows.”Private Quinn said. “That shouldn’t be too hard.”Chase said. The Team heads down the street to find Fire Elves and collect 3 arrows. “There some elves right there.”Daniel said. “Hey elves let us have your arrows!”Luke shouted. “Wizards! Get

The four jumped over a Fire Elf trap that was hidden under a pile of leaves and the Fire Elves who planted it there were now trapped. “Ugh! You idiots I knew I should have planted the trap!”One fire elf said. “Amazing Luke how did you know there was a trap?”Daniel asked. “Easy, the leaves gave it away.”Luke said. “We’ll be taking these arrows.”Malorn said. The five took the arrows and headed back to Private Quinn. “We have the arrows.”Chase said. “Good, now take this Gretta Darkkettle she used to teach alchemy at Ravenwood go talk her she knows all about strange things.”Private Quinn said. The Team heads to Gretta’s house for more instructions. The five arrive at the house. “Hello….anyone home?” Jack said. Suddenly, an old lady appears out of nowhere. “Hello my pretties.”Gretta said. “So you found me, you can tell that Ambrose I’m not coming back!”Gretta yelled. “We’re not here for that we’re here to give you these Fire elf arrows from Private Quinn.”Jack said. “Oh silly Quinn, I

need more than this to tell if something is wrong with them like a charred knife from one of those Magma Men that roam the street.” Gretta said. “Piece of Cake.”Daniel said. The team head into the street once again to get a charred knife from Magma Men. Then they suddenly run into Melts the Magma Man. “Hello children! I’m Melts the Magma Man! I make kids enjoy the burning sensation of my knife!”Melts yelled. “Do you kids want to feel that?!”Melts yells. “Nah, we do want your knife though.” Chase said. The Wizards fired at Melts killing him. “That was quick.”Daniel said. “Good, the world will be better without him.”Malorn said with a chuckle. The five arrive back at Gretta’s house. “Here’s the knife.”Malorn said as he handed the knife to Gretta. “Perfect, now time to see the problem behind all this trouble.”Gretta said. Gretta muttered magic words and moved her fingers across the arrows and the Problem revealed itself. “Ah, The Elves have been cursed by a Banshee’s wail. I can free them, but I need a lock of hair from the Banshee’s head go back to Private Quinn he may know if there is a Banshee lurking nearby.”Gretta said. The Team and Luke go back to Private Quinn. “Private Quinn! The elves have been cursed!”Chase shouted. “What Really!? By Who?” Private Quinn said. “They were cursed by a

Banshee’s wail.”Jack said. “Do you know if there’s any Banshee around?”Jack asked. “Yes, Bastilla Gravewynd is a Undead Army Leader she is responsible for the raid that devastated this street her tower is at the end of this street go and defeat her.”Private Quinn said. “Sweet! This is going to be my first boss fight!”Daniel said. “You’ll get used to them soon Dan.”Malorn said. The Team and Luke runs to Bastilla’s Tower to defeat yet another Undead Army Leader. The five arrive at the Tower. The jigs up Bastilla!” Luke shouted. Bastilla turned around and gazed at The Wizards with her wandering eyes. “Foolish Mortals! The Fire Elves are to remain cursed until Wizard City is in ruins! Your meddling in Malistaire’s plans will cost you dearly Resistance!”Bastilla shouted. “You’re going down old hag!”Malorn shouted. “I’ll send you back to Ravenwood as an example what happens to those who oppose us!”Bastilla shouted. And the battle began, Malorn and Jack jumped and fired their wands while Daniel, Luke and Chase circled around Bastilla firing as well. “Is that all you got?”Bastilla said. “Not really.”Malorn responded. Malorn casts a Fireblade to his hand. “Now we’re talking.”Malorn said. Malorn swung the Blade at Bastilla nearing slashing her in half. “Arghh! You little pest!”Bastilla yelled. Daniel then saw his

chance he jumped at Bastilla’s head, and ripped a chunk of hair from her head. “Ahhhhhh! My hair!”Bastilla screamed. “Well, that was more than we bargained for, but we’ll take it.”Malorn said. Malorn swung his Blade slashing Bastilla in half. “Waa—what!”Bastilla Groaned. Bastilla Gravewynd exploded in a black gray fog that consumed the whole room. “You will not escape!”The Fog said. “Run!”Jack yelled. The five run out of the tower with the fog chasing them. “Magic seal!”Luke yelled. Luke cast a Seal spell that locked the Fog inside the tower. “That was a close call huh guys?”Luke asked. “Yeah…..let’s get back to Gretta now.”Chase said. The five go back to Gretta’s House with a lock of Bastilla Gravewynd’s hair. “Here’s the hair.”Daniel said. “Great Job, now I can make a potion that will break the curse on the Elves.”Gretta said. Gretta brews up a potion from her pot. The brewing takes only seconds showing how experienced she is in Witchcraft and like that the Potion is finished. “Take this to Private Quinn and tell him that this will save his precious Fire Elves.”Gretta said. “Yes! Another one of Malistaire’s plans foiled.” Malorn said. The five go back to Private Quinn’s post but he wasn’t there. “Private Quinn?”Jack said. Jack looked down and saw a note, it said: “Ha! Quinn and there’s nothing you can do about it Resistance!” Sincerely, Alicane Swiftarrow. “Guys we have yet another hostage situation.”Jack said. “Who took him?”Chase asked. “Alicane Swiftarrow, telling from his name he must be the Leader of the Fire Elves.”Jack answered. “He must be cursed too.”Malorn said. “He must be at the Theater.”Malorn added. “Well what are we waiting for? Let’s go!”Daniel said. The five run to the Theater to confront Alicane Swiftarrow. The group makes it to the Theater and opens the door. “To be or n—huh? Oh, The Wizard Resistance so glad you could make it but don’t you know it’s rude to interrupt a performance? But you’re all just in time this is your Final Act!”Alicane yelled. “Where is Private Quinn?”Luke asked. “Heh, right here.”Alicane answered. Alicane snapped his fingers and a black chain fell down with Private Quinn in its grasp. Alicane again snapped his fingers and a cauldron filled hot boiling Lava rose below Private Quinn. “So here’s how it’s going to go down you have Five Minutes to rescue Private Quinn and defeat me but if you fail in those Five Minutes ….The curtains will close on Private Quinn.”Alicane said. “Five minutes is all we need.”Malorn said. Alicane starts to shoot arrows at the group and most of the arrows are moving

very fast. “Those are some speedy arrows!”Chase yelled. Chase fired at Alicane hitting him. “Grrrrr!”Alicane growled. Four minutes remained and the chain grows shorter. “Guys….hurry up!”Private Quinn shouted. “We aren’t fast like him you know!”Daniel responded. Alicane was jumping around the room firing arrows in the process. “For a Fire Elf you sure have poor aim.”Jack taunted. “Oh yeah?”Alicane said. Alicane put 5 arrows on his bow and fired. “Try magic-seeking arrows!”Alicane yelled. Jack started to run but couldn’t escape the arrows. “Great, just great!”Jack yelled. The arrows were closing in on him. Jack flips off a wall and the arrows hit the wall. “Whew, so close.”Jack said. Three minutes remained and the chain grew shorter. “Time is of the essence wizards!”Alicane shouted. “We’re running out of time!”Daniel shouted. “Dang it....got to think.”Malorn said. Luke fired at Alicane but misses. “Ugh! He’s a slippery little elf.”Luke yelled. “I say we slow him down a bit……Weakness!”Luke yelled. Luke cast a Weakness spell on Alicane slowing him down. Two minutes remained and the Chain was close to snapping. “Ugh….”Alicane grunted. “Heh, the Weakness is wearing you down?”Luke taunted. “Nope.”Alicane responded. Alicane jumped and kicked Luke right in the face

knocking him to the ground. “You foolish wizard, that didn’t really affect me.”Alicane said. One minute remained and the chain was about to snap. “Sorry Resistance but you have failed say bye-bye to Private Quinn.”Alicane said. “Not if I have something to say about it!”Malorn yelled. Malorn ran toward Private Quinn with only 20 seconds left. “No! I won’t let you save him!”Alicane yelled. Alicane shoots 10 Magic-seeking arrows at Malorn. The arrows follow him around the Theater he flips and jumps dodging the arrows. Alicane shoots one more arrow in the opposite direction in which Malorn is going. The arrow circles around the theater and soon meets with Malorn. “Five…Four….Three….Two….One!”Alicane shouted. The chain snaps letting Private Quinn go. “Ahhhh!”Private Quinn screamed. (Imagine this part in slow-mo) Malorn jumps on the arrow giving him an extra boost to jump. Malorn rams Private Quinn out of the Cauldron’s reach but falls in the Cauldron. “Malorn!”Chase yelled. “Hahhahahha!”Alicane laughed. In the Cauldron, Malorn noticed that the Lava was cold to him and the Cauldron looked bigger inside than on the outside. Suddenly the molten rocks inside the cauldron took shape of a Dragon’s head. “Who are you?”Malorn asked. “You.”The Dragon head said.

The Dragon’s eyes began to glow green, It opened its mouth and rushed toward Malorn, The Cauldron exploded! “What the!”Alicane shouted. “You thought you killed me?”Malorn said. Malorn’s eyes were glowing as he walked toward Alicane. “Well, you didn’t and guess what……we win.”Malorn said. Malorn grabs Alicane and takes out the Potion and pours it into Alicane’s mouth. Alicane twitches a bit but he returns to normal. “Hey…..I feel like myself again thank you Wizards for breaking the Banshee’s curse on me.”Alicane said. “And thank you for saving me Resistance.”Private Quinn added. Back at Private Quinn’s post Alicane throws the Potion into the air and shoots it, scattering the Potion across the street breaking the curse on all the Fire Elves. “We can’t thank you enough Resistance.”Private Quinn said. “Once again, you saved and freed another street from The Undead.”Private Quinn said. “It’s what we do and also thank you Lu—where did he go?”Malorn said. “Hmm oh well, Anyway you should report back to The Headmaster.”Private Quinn said. “Well guys, we’re done here.”Malorn said. The team teleports inside Headmaster Ambrose’s house. “Firecat Alley has been freed Headmaster.”Daniel said. “Outstanding Wizards! You freed three more streets from Malistaire’s clutches…..I now promote

you to Initiate Wizards!”Ambrose said. “Sweet!”Malorn said. “It’s time Resistance it’s time to face Lord Nightshade.”Ambrose said. “Good, I have been waiting to get my hands on him.”Jack said. “But first you need the key to his tower and that is in the hands of Foulgaze he is a Undead Army Commander and he’s located in Sapphyra’s Tower in Olde Town.”Ambrose said. The Resistance head to Olde Town to face Foulgaze and take back the key to Stormdrain Tower. The team arrive at the Tower and opens the door. “Foulgaze prepare to meet your end!”Chase shouted. “Foolish Resistance! You dare to defy Foulgaze….As you drift off into the Darkness your last sight will be my face so be it!”Foulgaze yelled. Foulgaze charged at The Resistance. The wizards fired their wands. “Your weak attacks are no match against me!”Foulgaze yelled. What’s up guys its Malorn again and this is your Update.

Malorn Dragonheart: A fire wizard who has a strange power and is guided by a Dragon who appears to help him in situations.

Jack Storm: A Very skilled Storm Wizard and can be useful when it comes to quick thinking.

Chase: A Death Wizard who’s been best friends with Malorn for since their early childhood he and Malorn are like brothers.

Daniel Raven: The newest member of The Wizard Resistance not much known about him but he is a valuable wizard.

The Wizard Resistance: A group of elite wizards who rebels against evil.

Malistaire Drake: The former Death School professor turned evil and created an Undead Army who wishes to destroy Wizard City though his true motives are unknown.

The Undead Army: A group led and created by Malistaire Drake. Well, that’s all let’s get back to the story now.

Chapter Six (The day without magic pt.1)

In the Dorm room, Malorn is in a deep sleep. His dream is normal, there are no flying pillows or nothing just regular. He walks around in his Mind

until he stops and looks up at the make believe starry sky and the stars take the form of the Dragon’s head he saw earlier. “*Gasp* Why do you keep following me?”Malorn asked. The Dragon said nothing. “Answer me!”Malorn shouted. The Dragon still said nothing. “Ugh! You’re just a waste of my time.”Malorn said. Malorn started walking off but the starry skies followed him where ever he went. “Sheesh…..You’re not going to go away are you?”Malorn said. “Well….talk or do something.”Malorn said. The Dragon remained silent. “*sigh* Just tell me what you want so you can go!”Malorn growled. The Dragon said nothing. “So, it’s a staring game you want eh?”Malorn said. “Two can play that game!”Malorn yelled. Malorn and the Dragon just stared at each other for minutes on end. Eventually, Malorn gave up. Knowing telling the Dragon to talk wasn’t going to work Malorn asked a question. “Are you my guardian?”Malorn asked. “You can say that.”The Dragon responded. “Ha! They Arrive. “Morning, Headmaster Ambrose!”Daniel said with a smile. “Good Morning my students this is your big day!”Ambrose said. “We have the key and everything.”Malorn said. “Now go claim victory for all of Wizard City.”Ambrose said. The Team begins to leave but after a few steps it starts to rain and thunder clashes in the sky. “That’s odd, Wizard City rarely has Rain storms……Unless……*gasp* He’s here…”Ambrose said. “Who’s here?!”Chase shouted. The look on Ambrose’s face gives the answer to Malorn. “It’s Malistaire isn’t it?!”Malorn asked. “Yes…..I can sense his Dark Aura plaguing the Commons he’s in……Golem Court!”Ambrose shouted. “Let’s Go!”Jack yelled. The Resistance ran out the door to Golem Court leaving Ambrose behind. “Wait young Wizards!”Ambrose shouted. Running as fast as they can go, The Resistance reaches Golem Court but doesn’t see Malistaire. “Where is he?”Malorn said. The four begin searching for him. “Any sign of him?”Chase asked. “No.”Jack answered. Ambrose finally caught up with them. “Young wizards I was trying to tell you to stop for as Malistaire is Very, very, Dangerous.”Ambrose said. “I sense him within this

Tower.”Ambrose added. “Let’s find out what Malistaire wants.”Malorn said. The Resistance and Headmaster Ambrose enter Golem Tower, to confront Malistaire. Malistaire summons two Draconians to fight The Resistance. “Now destroy them!”Malistaire shouted. “Resistance, you handle those creatures while I tend to Malistaire himself!”Ambrose shouted. “Don’t be so sure of yourself, old man!”Malistaire said. The Draconians charges toward the Wizards and The Team take action. “Let’s show these geckos how we roll.”Malorn said. The four split into two and combat the Draconians while Ambrose and Malistaire battle it out as well. “Give up old man your no match against me!”Malistaire boasted. “I may be little rusty but I’m still strong Malistaire!”Ambrose shouted. The Resistance was wearing the Draconians down with their attacks. “Keep it up guys!”Jack said. They decide to go for the kill and charge their attacks. “Fire!”Chase

shouted. They fire, killing the Draconians. Ambrose hits Malistaire with a huge wand attack stunning him. “Grrr!”Malistaire growled. The Wizards point their wands at Malistaire. “It’s over Malistaire!”Malorn shouted. Suddenly, a figure appears out of the shadows and The Resistance and Ambrose couldn’t believe who it was. “I don’t think so Resistance!”Duncan shouted. Duncan Grimwater was the figure! “Duncan! What are you doing?!”Malorn shouted. “Something I should have done a long time ago!”Duncan shouted. Duncan attacked The Resistance and Ambrose viciously, knocking them to the wall. “W-what!”Ambrose yelled. “Why? Duncan why?!”Jack shouted. “I have my own reasons, but I cannot let you hurt Malistaire.”Duncan said. “He’s the villain!”Malorn said. “Haha, he’s an inspiration not a villain.”Duncan said with a smirk. “Thank you for serving your Master Duncan.”Malistaire said. “Sure, but…..your no longer my master!”Duncan shouted. Duncan attacked Malistaire with huge force. “Argggh!” Malistaire shouted. “I don’t get it…”Malorn said. “I serve nether Ambrose or Malistaire, I serve my Mistress.”Duncan said. “Mistress? What mistress?”Chase said. “I said too much already but you’ll find out for yourself soon Resistance.”Duncan said. “You little….”Malistaire

growled. “Hahaha, you’re all fools!”Duncan said and laughed. “I’m done here, now you have two problems to worry about Resistance!”Duncan shouted. Duncan faded into the shadows leaving the tower. The Resistance now has another enemy, Duncan Grimwater and his so-called Mistress. “Headmaster are you alright?”Daniel asked. “I’m ok, just a little shook up.”Ambrose said. “Let me heal you” Daniel said. While Daniel healed the Headmaster the rest of the Resistance rose up. Malistaire still stunned struggles to get up. “Heh, *cough* this is just the beginning of your troubles Resistance *cough* for as you see your hands are about to become quite full.”Malistaire said. “How?”Malorn responded. Suddenly, Malorn’s wand glow began to go faint. “*cough* Lord Nightshade has served me well *cough* he has destroyed the Mill stopping the making process of the Lumina Crystals*Cough*without its Magic energy the Mana in Wizard City is now gone!”Malistaire shouted. “And you’re too late to stop him!” “You were stalling the entire time!”Chase yelled. “It was easy really*Cough* now you pathetic Wizards are defenseless against Nightshade’s raid.”Malistaire said as he rose up. “You’ll never get away with this Malistaire!”Ambrose shouted. “I already have

Ambrose….Now I shall take my leave of this wretched place.”Malistaire said. Malistaire teleported out of the tower. “Great, we have no Mana now how are we going to fight off the Raid?!”Jack yelled. “We won’t, we must get everyone to shelter.”Ambrose interrupted. “But Headmaster...”Jack responded. “No buts Jack we are defenseless against the raid we must retreat to Ravenwood and stay there.”Ambrose said. “Yes Headmaster.”Jack said. The Resistance rallied up all the students and took them to Ravenwood for shelter. Once all of the students and people are in Ravenwood, Headmaster Ambrose closes the gate and puts a Magic seal on it. “The Undead Army has won for now.”Ambrose said painfully. The students begin panicking and start to get hysterical about the Raid. “Quiet! I say Quiet!”Cyrus shouted. Professor Cyrus was the scariest teacher in Ravenwood so the students knew the deal about quieting down. “Now listen, Lord Nightshade has destroyed the Mill stopping Lumina Crystals from being made….making our Mana disappear leaving us unable to cast spells to defend against Nightshade’s raid.”Cyrus explained. “The Wizard Resistance is ….also powerless to stop them.”Cyrus said as he rolled his eyes. “So until we can sort something out this is your new

home.”Cyrus continued. The students really didn’t like that idea they wanted to rebel against the Raid but they were too afraid to cross Cyrus. The Resistance takes defeat for the first time and they weren’t too happy about it. “This is insane; we still have a fighting chance.”Daniel said. “I know…but there’s nothing we can do Dan…”Chase said. Wizard City has been taken over by Lord Nightshade and The Resistance is powerless to retake the City from The Undead. In an Unknown Location, Duncan reports to his mistress. “My Mistress I have done what you have ordered.”Duncan said. “Well done Duncan, you fooled The Resistance and Malistaire Drake but that’s only Part one…I want you to go back to Wizard City and summon the Kraken, use this crystal to bend his power to your will.”The Mistress said. “Also I want you to fix the Mill.”The Mistress added. “But Mistress isn’t that helping the Resistance?”Duncan said. “Yes, I want to see Malistaire’s lackey Lord Nightshade fall!”The Mistress shouted. “And what about the Resistance?”Duncan said. “If the Kraken doesn’t devour them leave them alone.”The Mistress said. “Yes Mistress.”Duncan said. Duncan Grimwater, now a traitor must help The Resistance defeat Lord Nightshade and his raid.

Chapter seven (the day without magic pt.2)

It is a Dark day in Wizard City…..The mill has been destroyed, stopping Lumina Crystals from being made. The Resistance, Professors, and Students have hid in Ravenwood for shelter. Unsure on what to do next. “Alright guys we got to brainstorm here.”Malorn said. “We can’t Malorn there’s nothing we can do.”Chase said. “I’m not about to give up like this!”Malorn shouted. Malorn jumped off the rock he was sitting on and walked toward the sealed gate and grabbed it. The Gate gave a shock to Malorn forcing him back. “The Headmaster sealed the gate up tight.”Malorn said. Malorn walked back to his original spot. A few minutes later Professor Cyrus came to see The Resistance. “Have you come up with a plan yet?”Cyrus said. “No, we haven’t.”Jack said. “That’s a shame, tsk, tsk, tsk; it seems the Headmaster put his trust in the wrong people.”Cyrus sneered. As much as The Resistance wanted to tell Cyrus off they couldn’t talk back. Cyrus went back to the Myth school afterwards. “*sigh* this stinks.”Daniel said. “I couldn’t agree more.”Chase said. A figure then appeared on top of the gate wall and it was Duncan! “Aww, is the

Resistance sad?”Duncan taunted. “Duncan! What are you doing here?!”Malorn shouted. “Ha-ha, my mistress has order me to help you fix the Mill and defeat Nightshade’s Raid.”Duncan said. “Why would you help us after all, you are a Traitor.”Jack said. “I’m offering you a favor here; you can’t refuse it even if you don’t trust me.”Duncan said. “Forget it!”Daniel shouted. “Wait no Dan, he’s right we must trust him if we want to stop Nightshade.”Malorn said. Duncan then formed a smirk on his face. “Ugh….Fine we will trust you but no tricks.”Chase said. “Ok then, let’s head to Triton Avenue.”Duncan said. The Resistance sneaks off with Duncan to Triton Avenue to fix the Mill and restore the Magic to the wizards of Wizard City. Once at the Triton Avenue gate wall, The Resistance can see the Raid Preparing to strike. “Whoa….”Chase said. “Yes quite, we must sneak into the mill and restart the process of the Lumina Crystals.”Duncan said. “How?”Jack said. Duncan pulled out a Cloak card and casted it. “Like this.”Duncan said. The group had turned invisible and was able to walk on the street undetected. Once arriving at the Mill, The Resistance could see the devastation. “How are we supposed to fix this?”Daniel said. “We are not, we are here to restore the Magic back the City.”Duncan said. “And

how are we going to do that?”Malorn asked. “The Mill is powered by that spinning wood wheel. But the Undead stopped it.”Duncan said. “That doesn’t answer our question.”Malorn said. “The Undead couldn’t destroy the wheel since Ambrose put a seal on it so they must have clogged something in there to stop the wheel. So all we have to do is unclog it.”Duncan said. “How do you know all of this?”Jack asked. “I’m a double agent.”Duncan answered. “If you’re not with us or Malistaire then who.”Chase asked Duncan. “I serve The Cluster now…”Duncan answered. “The Cluster?”Malorn said. “Yes, I would tell you a lot about us but my Mistress ordered me not to. I’m sure Ambrose knows all about us.”Duncan said with a wicked smile. The Resistance is then puzzled by Duncan’s comment. “Now let’s focus on the main objective here.”Duncan said. The group made it to the Mill and entered. In the room there stood the bottom part of the Wheel and it had skull jammed through it. Malorn walked over and took the skull out. The wheel began spinning again and soon the Crystals began to glow once more restoring the Magic back to the City. “This was too easy.”Malorn said. But then, a Ghost called Frigid appears. “Insignificant Wizards! You will perish for your trespass!”Frigid shouted. Malorn’s wand glow returned and he

knew his Magic was back. “I don’t think so.”Malorn said. Malorn fired a major flare at Frigid hitting him. “Ugh! What! Your magic is back?!”Frigid shouted. “Yep, and we’re taking back our City.”Jack said. The Resistance fired at Frigid destroying him. “It’s good to be back.”Jack said. “You said it.”Daniel said. “Good, now since that’s done…”Duncan said. Duncan attacked The Resistance with his wand blast. The Resistance hits the floor stunned to see Duncan has backstabbed them once again. “I should have known you would do that.”Malorn said. “Ha-hah, you idiots actually thought I was going to help you defeat Nightshade and his raid? You’re more pitiful than I thought!”Duncan laughed and taunted. “I have actually came back for a bigger goal much, much, bigger.”Duncan said. “Oh yeah? What goal?”Jack said. Duncan began to run as fast as he could. “He’s trying to escape, catch him!”Malorn shouted. The Resistance ran after Duncan, chasing him through the Mill. Meanwhile in Ravenwood, Bartlebly the Grandfather Tree feels the magic falling and sinking into his roots. “They have done it….”Bartlebly said. The Resistance closes in on Duncan while chasing him. “Heh-ha-ha, that’s right keep following me to your doom.”Duncan said to himself. Duncan started sprinting. “He’s gaining speed!”Chase yelled.

Duncan long jumped over a stone gate and landed on a small circular island with strange markings on it. The Resistance jumped down and landed on the island, ending the chase. “End of the line Duncan.”Malorn said as he pointed his wand at Duncan. “It’s over.” “Really? Last time I checked it began.”Duncan said. “Don’t you see? Every breath you take in will be entirely because my Mistress’s mercy.” Duncan then looked down at the ground. “See those markings?”Duncan said. “They indicate that this is the Seal of the Kraken, A creature who was sealed away by Ambrose himself.” “Yeah, so what?”Chase said. Duncan’s eyes then turned yellow and black and black marks scarred his face. “That seal will now be broken!” Duncan shouted. “Uba-ntu-nackai!”Duncan chanted. The magic words Duncan said had made the markings glow and the ground started to shake. “Ha-ha-hah-ha! At long last the Kraken’s seal is broken! Now after centuries of sleeping it’s time to wake mighty Kraken wake and destroy these fools!”Duncan shouted. The island cracked and broke. Water hits against the rocks with great force, and the sky darkens. “This can’t be good...”Malorn said. “Well done Duncan you have indeed served your mistress well.”Mistress said. The Mistress was watching everything transpire

through a vision fog. Back at Triton Avenue the second coming of the Kraken was taking place. “Heh-heh-ha, this a good thing and bad thing Resistance. The Kraken will get rid of the raid and you.”Duncan said. “See how that works?” “Yeah, but here’s the thing we aren’t going down so easily.”Daniel said. “Pathetic.”Duncan taunted. Duncan grabbed the crystal the Mistress gave him and showed it to the Resistance. “With this I can control the Kraken to destroy you but it is limited, the cluster darkness will slowly consume his spirit and devour it into darkness.”Duncan explained. “For that is the nature of The Cluster.”A bolt of lightning strikes the water electrifying it. The water begins to glow at the bottom and suddenly a huge wave of water hits the shattered island. A shadow loomed over the Resistance…..scaly, vicious, and angry. The Resistance turned to see the Kraken standing right behind them. “The sea’s greatest wrath is about to come crashing down upon you.”The Kraken growled. Duncan held up the cluster crystal and took control of the Kraken. “Now my pet, vanquish these fools!”Duncan shouted. The Kraken roared and charged at The Resistance. “Incoming!”Malorn shouted. The Resistance jumps out of the way just in time. “Ha-ha-ha! Running will just make him

angrier.”Duncan said. “It’s unless!” The Resistance started firing at the Kraken but it showed no effect. “Well that was a waste.”Chase grunted. The Kraken had grabbed a bolt from a small dark cloud over him and threw it at the group nearly hitting them. “Have a taste of your own medicine!”Duncan shouted. “If this keeps up we’re dead.”Jack said. The Kraken was slowing down a bit due to the Cluster darkness slowing devouring him. Chase saw this and came up with a plan. “I think we should destroy the Crystal controlling the Kraken.”Chase said. “How?”Malorn asked. “We must all fire at the Crystal at the exact same moment.”Chase explained. “Okay, but how are we going to get pass the Kraken?”Daniel asked. “Oh yeah, I forgot about him.”Chase said. “Looks like we got to wing it guys.” “Wonderful.”Jack said sarcastically. “Are you fools coming up with plan? Or another one of your jokes?”Duncan taunted. “Ok let’s go but remember, we must strike at the same time.”Chase whispered.

“This is a complete waste of my time... And here I thought you were worthy opponents. Such a shame...”Duncan said. Duncan held the crystal into the air. “Kraken, I now command you to destroy these pests!”Duncan shouted. The Kraken

summoned a huge wave of water and thrusts it toward the Resistance. “I hope you guys can swim….”Chase said. “*gulp*that’s a-a lot of water...”Daniel said nervously. The wave slammed and engulfed the Resistance. Under water, Jack grabs hold of a stone post and holds his hand out of the rest of the group. The three grab each other’s hands and Malorn swims to Jack bringing Chase and Daniel with him. Duncan stands upon a rock certain that the Resistance is dead. “Heh, looks like my job is done here.”Duncan said. Duncan turns his back but then notices something. “Hmm?” he said. The water was shaking and bubbling… Suddenly, the Resistance launched out of the water and fired at the Crystal. The blast shattered the Crystal into tiny pieces. “Ugh! You little….”Duncan growled. “You didn’t think we were dead did you?”Daniel taunted. The Kraken stumbled and held his head. “W-w-w-what’s going on?”Kraken groaned. “Ha! The Kraken is free from your clutches Duncan.”Malorn said. “True, but then again…”Duncan responded. “Why don’t I make him mine for eternity!” Duncan’s eyes once again turned black and yellow and he held up his arms. The Kraken’s whole body began to turn to black smoke-like fog. Duncan absorbed the fog into his body making a wicked smile on his face. “W-w-

what the!?”Daniel shouted. “Ha-ha-ha, don’t be afraid it’s all natural…”Duncan said. “For as I already told you, that is the nature of the Cluster. We feed on the pure soul, and make it ours.” The last of the fog was sucked into Duncan’s dark, vanitas (emptiness) of a soul. “In order to be a part of the Cluster you must give up your soul, life, and sometimes your own free will.”Duncan explained. “Those are some tough requirements.”Malorn said. “Yes and the best thing about it…once you’re in you can never get out!”Duncan shouted. “Sorry but, I have a Mistress to serve… ciao Resistance!” Duncan jumped in the air and landed on the broom he summoned and flew into the air with his laughter echoing in the wind. “He’s gone, but it’s not the last of him.”Chase said. “Okay, let’s go back to Ravenwood.”Malorn insisted. The group began to walk back to Ravenwood when suddenly…. “Hold it right there Resistance!”Nightshade shouted. The group turned around and for the first time meets Lord Nightshade. “I take it that you’re Lord Nightshade?”Jack asked. “Correct child.”Nightshade replied. “And this is my raid.” “We noticed.”Malorn said. “I can tell your not that confident today.”Nightshade said. “Oh we’re confident we’re just not showing it.”Jack said. “And

we can tell you this; your raid won’t be getting any closer to ravenwood.” “Aha-ha-ha, you little pests should have known by now that I and my master Malistaire are unstoppable! We will bring upon a new order, an undead order!”Nightshade shouted. “Now, let’s see what you’re made of Resistance!” Lord Nightshade pointed his bone finger at the Resistance, signaling the raid to charge. The raid charged toward the Resistance yelling and banging their weapons together. But the wizards didn’t move they still their position. The raid reached them and crowded them. “Heh-ha-ha, fools.”Nightshade said. Lord Nightshade then noticed something in the crowd it was a light growing brighter and brighter. And finally it exploded. Ghouls, skeletons, and banshees blew into the air. “Impossible!”Nightshade yelled. The Resistance reveals their new weapons; Malorn has a Fire Elf bow, Jack has a Kraken’s thunder bolt, Chase has a Ghoul’s shovel, and Daniel has an Angel’s sword. “Looks like we got an upgrade.”Malorn said. “And Lord Nightshade, you and your raid are going down.” The Resistance gains new weapons and prepares for the final battle for Wizard City against Lord Nightshade and his raid.

Chapter Eight (a night under the shade)

After facing the Kraken, The Resistance now has to deal with Lord Nightshade and his raid. The Resistance blasts through the raid with ease due to new weapons at their side. “Ugh! Keep attacking! don’t stop!”Nightshade yelled. “It’s useless Nightshade why don’t you just give up!”Malorn shouted. “You can’t defeat us!” “Giving up is for the weak.”Nightshade said.

“In this case, it would be for the smart.”Chase said. Chase appeared behind Lord Nightshade and swung the shovel directly at his skull hitting him. “Arggh!”Nightshade shouted. “You were saying?”Chase taunted. Lord Nightshade swung his scythe at Chase it didn’t cut him but slashed his robe. “Hey! This was my favorite robe!”Chase yelled. “I was aiming at your head… but this time I will not miss!”Nightshade shouted. Lord Nightshade raised his scythe to strike down Chase. But Malorn quickly shot an arrow at Nightshade’s back preventing him from killing Chase. “Ugh! Pesky little….”Nightshade growled.

The Resistance pointed their weapons at Lord Nightshade and cornered him. “Any last words Nightshade?”Jack said. “Ha-ha-ha, time to fly!”Nightshade yelled. Nightshade used his crow like wings to fly into the air. “So long Resistance!”Lord Nightshade said. Nightshade then flew off to Ravenwood. “No! He’s getting away!”Daniel shouted. “Not for long.”Malorn said. Malorn pulled out four Sunbird spell cards and casted them. “Get on your Sunbirds and let’s chase down Nightshade!”Malorn said. The Resistance took off after Nightshade on a pair of Sunbirds casted by Malorn. In Ravenwo0d, Lord Nightshade terrorizes the students and Professors. “Be gone Lord Nightshade!”Ambrose said. “Not until your surrender the city to the Undead Army!”Lord Nightshade demanded. “Never!”Ambrose yelled. “Very well, since you won’t cooperate you’ll be my first victim!”Lord Nightshade shouted. Lord Nightshade’s hand lit up in a blue light and he pointed it at Ambrose. The light began sucking the life out of Ambrose. “Let’s see how you like being wrinkled like a raisin!”Lord Nightshade shouted. “Nrgh….”Ambrose groaned. Lord Nightshade was draining Ambrose of his Life-force and Ambrose couldn’t fight back. “Just a little more and you’re finished!”Lord Nightshade said. The Resistance reaches Ravenwood and sees Lord Nightshade attacking Ambrose. “The headmaster is in trouble!”Malorn said. Malorn quickly shot four

arrows at Lord Nightshade’s back. “Gahrrgh!”Nightshade screamed. Lord Nightshade fell and rolled on the ground growling and groaning. “The Wizard Resistance!”Ambrose shouted with relief. “We’re saved!” “*growls* It doesn’t matter, I can still defeat you weaklings.”Nightshade said. “Really? You’re the one who’s the weakling here Nightshade.”Daniel said. “And you’ve clearly failed to see the writing on the wall.”Chase added. Lord Nightshade plucked the arrows out of his spine then arose off the floor. ”Fine, since you’re all so eager to die meet me back at my tower and we will find out who’s the weakling.”Lord Nightshade said. Lord Nightshade then flew off to the Haunted Cave leaving Ravenwood. “We’ll deal with him later but right now we must tend to the Headmaster.”Malorn said. Malorn and the gang was about to help the Headmaster when a group of wizards walked to them. “That won’t be necessary Resistance.”Elijah said. “What do you mean and who are you guys?”Jack asked. “I’m Elijah Deathshard and we are the Mercenaries for Hire and you have Nightshade to deal with, we’ll take care of the headmaster now go after Lord Nightshade.”Elijah said. “Ok, thanks Elijah.”Malorn said. The Resistance gets on the Sunbirds and flies off to Stormdrain Tower, Home of Lord Nightshade.

At the Haunted Cave entrance, The Wizard Resistance hops off their Sunbird mounts and head into the cave confidence that they’ll be walking out alive. They were so determined even the rotten-corpse smell didn’t get to them. The Street was like a ghost town (no pun intended) the undead wasn’t roaming around, there was only one undead here…..Lord Nightshade. The Resistance reaches Stormdrain Tower and enters. Once in, the door slams behind them and locks itself. The group then sees Lord Nightshade with his hands on the top of his scythe and his eyes closed. “Wizards, I’m having a vision. Come; let us seal your fate.”Lord Nightshade said. Nightshade grabbed his scythe by the wooded stick and went into his battle stance. “Let’s finish this Nightshade!”Jack shouted. The Resistance got into their battle stances. And the battle began; the Resistance charged at Nightshade and started attacking. “Foolish mortals!”Nightshade shouted. Lord Nightshade started flying around the room. “Not so fast!”Malorn shouted. Malorn quickly shoots an arrow at Nightshade’s chest but it pierces his eye instead. “Gah! *growls*”Nightshade growled. Lord Nightshade’s pitch black blood leaked from his eye and started dripping to the floor. “An eye for an eye, huh Nightshade?”Chase taunted. “You’re all dead…”Nightshade growled. Nightshade pulled the arrow out of his eye socket and slammed his scythe into the ground. Black streaks of fog

covered the ground and two scarecrows arose from them. “Ha-ha, now the odds are even!”Nightshade shouted. “Now destroy them!” The scarecrows shot blue flames at the Resistance that was similar to The Harvest Lord’s attack. “Watch out!”Daniel shouted. The group all dodges the flames and destroy the two scarecrows. But it was all a diversion, Nightshade hands made the blue light seen earlier and started draining the Resistance of their life.

“You fools fell for it! Now your life is mine!”Nightshade shouted. “N-n-n-No way!”Chase said. The Resistance was looking death in the face. Their lives were near drained and they couldn’t fight back. But just as all seemed lost, somebody blasted through the door wielding a staff. “Weakness!”Luke shouted. Luke casted a Weakness spell upon Lord Nightshade stopping his attack. “Argh! What is the meaning of this!?”Nightshade yelled. Luke raised his staff. “Spectral Blast!”Luke shouted. Luke’s staff shot lighting at Lord Nightshade knocking him into the wall. “Luke!”Malorn shouted with relief.

“Heh, Nice to see you too Malorn.”Luke said. “What are you doing here? And how did you find us?”Jack asked. “I over-heard Elijah talking about Lord Nightshade and I decided to help you guys out.”Luke replied. “Well thank you! We were almost goners!”Daniel said with joy.

Lord Nightshade rose from the wall. “So what if you got extra help it won’t do you any good!”Nightshade yelled. “Looks like someone is a little cranky.”Luke taunted. “I’ll kill you!”Nightshade shouted. Lord Nightshade raised his scythe to attack but Daniel acted fast and threw his sword at Lord Nightshade’s chest trapping him to the wall. “Run! I have an idea!”Daniel yelled. The Resistance and Luke ran out of the tower. “Come back cowards!”Nightshade shouted. “Dan would you like to tell us why we’re running?”Chase asked. “Just a little further…”Daniel said. The group ran to the nearest corner. “Ok, stop. Malorn shoot four explosive arrows at the tower.”Daniel said. “Brilliant idea Dan.”Malorn said.

Malorn pulled four arrows back on the bow and shot them. The arrows glided through the air with swiftness and flew into the tower. “What! No!”Nightshade shouted. The arrows hit, and the tower exploded. The explosion rocked and shook the cave, rocks started to fall, large cracks began to form among the street. “We’ve got to get out of here!”Jack said. The group took off but Luke found a skeleton key on the ground and picked it up. “Luke come on!”Malorn shouted. Luke started running again and caught up with the Resistance. The group is near the exit when Lord Nightshade, (thought to be dead) gets behind them and gains

speed. “You can’t escape from me Resistance!”Nightshade yelled.

“This guy just doesn’t give up!”Malorn said. The Resistance ran faster but Nightshade was on their heels. Big pieces of the cave began to fall upon the street making big and deep chasms. “You’re mine Resistance!”Nightshade shouted. The Resistance reached the exit but Lord Nightshade reached his hand out to grab Luke. “I got you no—huh? Ahhh!”Nightshade screamed.

Rocks fell upon Lord Nightshade, killing him and the cave went down with him.

The Haunted Cave and Lord Nightshade were both….no more.

The cave fell deep within Wizard City never to be seen or entered again… but our heroes made it out safely. “*pant* *pant* It’s over… *pant* he’s gone.”Malorn said. “But I don’t know how we are going to explain this gaping hole.” “That doesn’t matter right now, let’s go back to Ravenwood and tell everybody about Nightshade’s defeat.”Luke said. “Should we walk?”Jack asked. “Yes. I’m too tired from running to teleport.”Malorn said with a chuckle.

“And Luke thanks for saving us.” “No problem Malorn.”Luke said. “Luke, how would you like to be a part of The Wizard Resistance?”Chase asked. Luke then made a big smile on his face. “Yes I

would!”Luke shouted. “Luke Spiritsword, Welcome to the Wizard Resistance” Malorn said.

Since Luke saved Malorn, Jack, Chase, and Daniel. He was rewarded a spot in the Resistance.

In Ravenwood, Everyone (Except Cyrus) is worried that the Resistance was defeated by Lord Nightshade. But they were in for a surprise. The Resistance climbed up the wall and everybody (Except Cyrus again) when crazy with joy. “It’s the Resistance!”One student said. “They defeated Lord Nightshade!”Another student said.

Malorn raised his hands. “I have some good news and some bad news…..the good news is…..we defeated Lord Nightshade!”Malorn shouted. The students cheered. “And the bad news is….The Haunted Cave went down with him.”

“What do you mean?”Cyrus asked. “I blew up Stormdrain Tower and the blast was powerful enough to bring the whole cave down.”Malorn answered. “It’s okay Malorn, no harm done” Ambrose said. “But headmaster, that’s vandalism!”Cyrus said. “Cyrus, the cave was bound to fall anytime.”Ambrose said. Cyrus walked off mumbling under his breath.

“Headmaster Ambrose, there’s something else too…Duncan helped us restore the magic but only

to summon the Kraken and he also said something about a group he’s in called The Cluster.”Jack said.

Ambrose became stunned once he heard that name. “Th-t-t-The Cluster? Are you sure he said that?”Ambrose asked with fear. “Yes, his voice was as clear as day.”Malorn answered. Ambrose began shaking and sweating. “Quickly, come to my office.”Ambrose said. The group followed Ambrose to his quarters and entered.

“Okay, now listen I’m about to tell you all the story of the Cluster.”Ambrose said.

“A long, long, time ago. A new magic revealed itself, we called it: Cluster Magic…it was an amazing discovery we now knew that there could be more undiscovered magic’s out there. Over the period of five weeks, we studied it. Cluster Magic didn’t come from any combination of the other magic’s which was strange to Bartlebly and Grandmother Raven but it didn’t matter to us....Then, a group of Ravenwood students began to learn nothing but Cluster Magic and I told them to learn other magic besides Cluster but they insisted we leave them alone about the matter. Then one day, the students attacked the school using Cluster Magic. The Cluster Magic corrupted them… it was controlling their minds…So for the safety of the students and the city we had to…set them free….We had to tell the bad news to their families. After that, Bartlebly and Grandmother

Raven sealed away the Cluster Magic never to be casted or learned again…..”Ambrose explained.

“That’s sad….but if the magic is sealed then why can Duncan use it?”Malorn asked. “If Duncan can use the forbidden magic then the seal must be wearing out.”Ambrose replied. “Then why not ask Bartlebly and Grandmother Raven to renew it?”Luke asked. “Bartlebly’s eye of history was taken by Malistaire recently. Without it, he can’t renew the seal with his sister.”Ambrose replied.

“Do you have any more leads on The Cluster?”Ambrose asked. “The only big one we have is that the leader is called The Mistress.”Jack answered. Ambrose sat down in his chair, holding his head. “*sigh* If isn’t Malistaire was enough to deal with…”Ambrose said with a pained expression. Luke dug in his pocket and took out the skeleton key. “Headmaster, I found this key after Stormdrain Tower exploded. Luke handed the key to Ambrose. “A key?”Ambrose said.

Ambrose examined the key for quite a long time and finally decided to talk. “If this is what I think it is…then…..Quickly! Go take this key under the waterfall near the Unicorn Way entrance!”Ambrose said. The Resistance ran out of the house and ran to waterfall. Once there, they walk under the warm water. “Hey there’s a door!”Daniel shouted. The group walked to the door and Malorn unlocked it, and opened it.

Upon entering, the first thing the group sees is a building which looks like a school. “Is that a school?”Chase said. Luke recognized the black and white colors and determined that it was the Death School.

“That’s just not any school, it’s the Death School!”Luke shouted. “Yes, that is the Death School.”Jack said after taking a good look at it. “Let’s go inside to see if anybody’s in there.”Malorn said.

The group entered the school only to see desks broken, and moved. But they also saw a person sleeping in the teacher’s chair. “Hey wake up!”Malorn shouted. Malorn clapped his hands loud enough to wake a Dworgyn a hunchback minion.

“*snores* Huh? What!? Who’s there!?”Dworgyn panicked. “Relax, we won’t hurt you.”Chase said. “If you come to rob me, I’m afraid all I have is this lantern.”Dworgyn said. ”We aren’t robbers we are students of Ravenwood.”Malorn said. “Whew, I thought you were trying to take my stuff, not that I have much. So, what brings you to the Death School?”Dworgyn said. “Wait? Don’t you know the Death School isn’t connected to Ravenwood?”Daniel asked. “It is!? No wonder I haven’t seen any students here lately. I should get out more.”Dworgyn said. “Malistaire left a long

time ago and never came back I wonder if he’s dead...” “Malistaire is alive, but he’s evil now.”Malorn said. “I can already know why…”Dworgyn said to himself. “Well, thanks for the finding me young wizards!”Dworgyn said. The Resistance left Nightside and went back to Headmaster Ambrose’s house. “So what did you find?”Ambrose asked. “The Death School.”Jack replied. “Really! Is it still intact?”Ambrose said. “Yes, it is and there’s this guy called Dworgyn who was sleeping inside.”Luke added. “Dworgyn? I haven’t seen him since The Death School disappeared. Well thank you for finding The Death School but we must keep this a secret from the students.”Ambrose said.

“Now, time to focus back on the real problem here. I have a gut-feeling that Malistaire will be heading to the world of Krokotopia next and so will Duncan and his Mistress I want you to investigate and help out around Krokotopia.”Ambrose said. “Here’s the Spiral Key to Krokotopia’s door, now go to Bartlebly and ask him if you can enter into him to unlock the door.” “Sweet! Krokotopia here we come!” Malorn shouted.

In a Unknown Location, The Mistress has seen the previous events. “So the Resistance plans on

going to Krokotopia to stop Malistaire from achieving his motive. Interesting…I think it’s time I got out of this chair and stop watching from the sidelines.”Mistress said. “My Mistress?”Duncan said. A white clear orb appeared in the Mistress’s hand and it showed Krokotopia. “Krokotopia, Lost city of treasures and also home of the sleeping tuts…I think it’s time they awaken don’t you think so too Duncan?” Mistress asked. “Yes My Mistress.”Duncan replied. “Let’s go cause some Mayhem my loyal servant.”Mistress said. “How?”Duncan asked.

“Easy, all we need to do is get our hands on The Hourglass and it will be done.”Mistress replied. “Ha-ha, The Resistance and Malistaire will rue the day they messed with the Cluster! Aha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!”Mistress shouted.

After defeating Lord Nightshade, The Resistance must chase down Malistaire Drake and The Infamous Cluster through Krokotopia.

And what does The Mistress want with a Hourglass?
