The Genre we’re aiming for

Action – “The word action has more than one meaning in fiction. Action is one of the fiction-writing modes authors use to present fiction. The term is also used to describe a subset of creative works emphasizing action rather than other aspects of

storytelling.”Thriller – “Thriller is a genre of literature, film, and

television that uses suspense, tension, and

excitement as the main elements.”

The Genre we will be aiming for will be a cross-bread of action and thriller.

What’s the Narrative?

We plan on having 3 main acts to our story about soldiers in a guerrilla mission.

This includes:• Half of the characters die at the start – the opening ends with a

characters hand on the floor - lifeless.• The other half act through towards the end – but in a flashback.• At the end it turns out that the half that seemed to have died at

the start, actually killed the other half.• We will use filming and sound techniques to deceive the

audience and reveal at the end creating a very climactic ending.

Page 5: The pitch[1]

Is there a setting?

• We will be filming in fields for the opening.• Throughout the middle of the film we will be filming

in cities/towns.• Towards the end the setting will come back to shock

the audience after seeing the effects on the soldiers.
