The Idea

• A pop magazine that is targeted at an age range of 18-25 of generally female.• The magazine will contain the latest information on the

top pop artists and new releases.• There are currently very few pop magazines that cater to

this target group, there are many that cater for younger audiences.

Target Audience Profile• Age: 18-25• Female• Either working or in university• Income low, some disposable but not a lot• Media interests include pop music, fashion, gossip, reality TV• The target group’s demographics likely would be E, D from

education and first jobs, however there will be some of the audience in C1 or C2.

• The Psychographics of the audience is mainstream, this will mean that their

Institutions• Hearst Magazine could potentially publish the magazine.• They currently publish very popular and established

magazines. • They also publish some magazines aimed at younger

Style

• The magazine will have quite a sophisticated feel to it that is grown up. It will avoid any of the typical conventions of pop magazines targeted at a younger audience. • It will look similar to the Billboard magazine, however

more friendly and with more information.
