Goryeb Children’s Hospital is proud to present our 16th Annual Continuing Medical Education Conference at Skytop Lodge in Pennsylvania, a weekend program on topics of interest to practicing pediatricians, family practitioners, advanced practice nurses and pediatric behavioral health clinicians.

Set on 5,500 pristine acres, Skytop Lodge (skytop.com) offers the perfect combination of facilities and services to enhance our conference. The Executive Conference Center at Skytop is a state-of-the-art facility featuring the latest audio-visual equipment, and countless amenities.

In addition to activities provided by Skytop Lodge, Child Life Specialists from Goryeb Children’s Hospital will supervise activities for children of conference attendees during the scheduled CME hours.

At the end of the session the participant will be able to:›› Review how diet, environment and microbiota in infancy affect long-term health.›› Describe the evidence-based treatment options for the child with

eosinophilic esophagitis.›› Describe the benefits and risks of subcutaneous allergen immunotherapy

in children.›› Describe the effects of, and review methods to minimize the risk of

inhaled corticosteroids on the growth of children with asthma.›› Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications for the most

common mental health disorders in children and adolescents. ›› Identify key clinical decisions that contributed to the

development of a rare systemic side effect of ICS in a child with possible asthma.›› Review the natural history of GERD in children through

adulthood and describe the etiologies underlying feeding problems in infants and young children and approaches to management.›› Identify and treat eating disorders in young children.›› Recognize when to refer a child with a developmental delay to

the appropriate therapeutic intervention.›› Describe the epidemiology and risk factors for poisoning

exposures in the young child and discuss emerging poisoning hazards.›› Review common psychiatric symptoms in the

medically ill child.

Full American Meal Plan Rate (FAP) includes accommodation, as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner daily (beginning with dinner on the evening of arrival and concluding with lunch on the day of departure).

The above room rates are subject to 9% tax and service charge in the amount of $30.00 per adult per night . Every effort will be made to accommodate your request. In the event that your request is not available, the next available room type will be reserved for you.

Most rooms in main lodge can accommodate 1 child per room. Mini suites can accommodate up to three young children. Cottage rooms and Inn King rooms w/pull out sofa can accommodate up to two young children. More than three children will require a second room in main lodge or cottage.

RATES FOR CHILDREN AND/OR THIRD ADULT IN ROOM:

Children 12 and under, the service charge will be waived. For children 13 to 17, there will be a $30.00 per child per night service charge. Adding a third adult to the room (18 and older) please add $85 per night.

All reservations must be secured with a deposit equal to one night’s room charge. The total deposit will be applied to your designated length of stay.
