CONFIRMATIONS 2012 The Bishop will celebrate the sacrament in our Deanery on Tuesday 8th May. If your child will be aged 13 by that date he/she is invited to receive this sacrament. CATHOLIC PARLIAMENTARY AND PUBLIC POLICY INTERNSHIPS - Our Bishops’ Conference organises Parliamentary and Public Policy Internships for recently graduated Catholics. This year they are looking to offer 8 internships: five interns will be placed with Christian MPs at Westminster; two in Public Policy with
CAFOD and CARITAS Social Action Network; and one in a media internship at Archbishop’s House Westminster. CAFOD Fast Day is on Friday 2nd March. The department for International Development have agreed to raise £ for £ against any money CAFOD raises this year. Donations this year will be used to provide clean water and sanitation. Look out for "Thirst for Change", a campaign to urge world leaders to ensure provision of clean water as a priority at the G2O summit. Envelopes should be available at the back of church for your collection. Please donate what you can afford, for fast day and bring your envelopes back for collection on Sunday 4th March. Every little helps.

Street Angels is a national initiative which seeks to
provide 'Safe people and a Safe place' in cities between the hours of 9pm & 3am. It is a fantastic way to engage
positively in the nightlife of our city through providing
support to those who need it, building relationships with

The Bishops of England & Wales have decided to re-establish the practice that this penance should be fulfilled simply by abstaining from meat and by uniting this to prayer. Those who cannot or choose not to eat meat as part of their normal diet should abstain from some other food of which they regularly partake.
