Gravitas is an integrated operational geology system that comprises a number of application modules, including Winlog, the world leading log drawing solution. The modules combine to provide a rich operations geology toolset to manage the geological workflow and seamlessly integrate operations geology with other disciplines such as drilling.

Scalable from a single laptop user to a multi-user centralized system, Gravitas provides the flexibility to monitor, log, chart and report operations as required. Data and documents held in the Gravitas database may be instantly shared to facilitate collaboration and avoid duplication of effort.

Gravitas provides a flexible, systematic solution to the issues faced by assets in today’s digital oilfield and ensures that organizations make informed decisions throughout the well lifecycle.

PRODUCTIVITYWith a philosophy of, “collect data once and use it many times”, Gravitas reduces the effort required to create logs, charts and reports throughout the entire well lifecycle: from planning, through drilling, to post well analysis. Gravitas has a phase architecture within wells allowing data from one well lifecycle phase to be inherited by the next, as appropriate. Data collected during the Wellsite phase may be used in the Final QC phase avoiding duplication and reducing effort.

Being a multi-user client/server application suite, Gravitas enables your team to work with information that is consistent and up to date. Gravitas improves the effectiveness and productivity of asset teams with its ability to provide effortless visualization and to report the well from many perspectives.

DATA MANAGEMENTGravitas data is held in a centralized location either locally or on the network. All documents, including charts and reports, associated with a well may also be stored in the well folder structure in order to simplify document management.

Access to Gravitas requires user credentials and along with user group permissions these are used to determine their level of access to the various wells within the database. In addition to controlled access to the software Gravitas maintains an audit trail of key actions and data changes stored against the user.

COLLABORATIONGravitas supports multiple concurrent users from the various E&P disciplines. As changes are committed to the database Gravitas notifies all connected client applications automatically refreshing displays as required.

Differential synchronization enables remote rig operations to regularly update the office with new and modified data rather than sending complete well files. Therefore the office team can follow well progress even when working with restricted or intermittent communication links.

INTEGRATIONData managed by Gravitas is easily distributed to users of other systems enhancing communication and improving efficiency. This may be via standard export routines to popular flat file formats, WITSML, or more sophisticated direct connections to the corporate database using WinDOT technology.
