What a wonderful Palm Sunday we had last week to kick off Holy Week! INDIALANTIC HERITAGE DAY—was held here on Saturday, March 7th. If you didn’t come, you missed a very informative and enjoyable time.

Pictured at left are Jennifer Marx, standing; Cindy Earp, Facilitator, Judge George Maxwell, Karen Raley, Jill Hoffman, Nancy Fowler, Bob Wailes, and Patsy Oliphant. It was interesting to hear all that went on in the early days here at Eastminster and the changes that took place in the town of Indialantic over the years.

ART AUCTION—On Saturday, March 7th, the team began to hang the pictures up in the 2nd floor hallway of the CMC. As you can see, there is much involved.

As they say “how many people does it take to change a light bulb”? Ummm. How many does it take to hang a picture? In any case, with the expertise provided from those pictured (from top, Shirley Totty, Bunny Nairn, and Gloria Bauer) the job got done….and done right!

And while the women were hanging pictures, Mr. Dick Dunn was completing the bidder sheets to hang alongside the art work. Or was he just getting some respite….only he can answer that!

SHROUD OF TURIN—was held on Tuesday, March 25th. Our own Ron Marshall led the presentation of the Shroud and explained the scientific analysis that was done to come up with various hypothesis.

There was a total of approximately 170 in attendance.

AS YOU CAN SEE, EASTMINSTER IS A VERY BUSY PLACE—

THERE IS SOMETHING GOING ON ALL OF THE TIME.

DAILY BREAD—Many thanks to the dedicated EPC ministry team who served a hearty meal to over 225 men, women and children on March 10th. This month’s team included Margarette and Ron Roberts and Nancy and John Abernathy. They were joined by Joelle and Joe Cooper (from another church) along with our Ministry Leader, Barbara Allen. The next day to serve will be Tuesday, April 14th from 10:30 a.m. until around 2:00 p.m. What a great way to make a difference in our community!

PICTORIAL DIRECTORY—Nancy Sorensen wishes to express her appreciation for the work her Committee did on the pictorial directory….Edwina Davis, Eunice Grimes, Nancy Fowler, Martha Kamm, Melinda Miller, Carolyn Nenstiel, Mary Warnick and Audrey Young. They served as hostesses for the photo sessions, helped to proof the book, and assisted in the distribution of the directories. A special thanks to Don Dawson who spent countless hours laying out the directory. We could not have done it without his assistance.

COOKIE BAKING CREW—If you are enjoying the cookies after worship services, you will have to thank these wonderful women. They came and baked over 1,200 cookies and with no air-conditioning. They are from left to right, Carolyn Nenstiel, Ann Marie Cairnes, Regina Schmidt, Susan Vallette, Nancy Marshall, and Joyce Wilfong. Flour was everywhere, but you can see they had a good time. If you would like to participate in the next cookie-baking session,

please contact Nancy Marshal at 984-1444. KITCHEN CLEAN UP CREW—Nancy Marshall would like to thank everyone who showed up on Tuesday, March 17th to help clean the kitchen. If you haven’t noticed, you can see yourself in anything that’s stainless steel. They arrived with cleaning supplies in hand and got right down to it. They were: Susan Vallette, Polly Bowers, Pat Maxwell, Sophie Bryan, Dory Fredrickson, Annette Bronkema, Judy and Gene Davis, and Nancy and Ron Marshall. DORCAS MINISTRY— Thank you to those who provided food and helped to set up/clean up for the memorial service receptions for Judy Roach, June Neubauer, and Harry Villhardt. We know the families really appreciate all that you do for them during their time of loss. A NOTE FROM THE SUTLIFF’S—”We are “snow birds” and have been winter worshipping at Eastminster for several years. Your kindness shows through as always. We are most thankful for your prayers and concerns, particularly these last few weeks after Louise had a stroke. Fortunately, she had minor after-affects and she is doing quite well now. We especially thank Pastor Tim and the Men’s Breakfast Group for their prayers and support. It has been most appreciated. Thank you all.” Bob and Louise Sutliff….March 9, 2015.
