JANUARY CAR SHOW COMMITTEE REPORT.
The first car show meeting of this year was held
on January 15th. It was mostly to get everyone back on
board for thinking about the Memorial Cruisin' With the
Oldies event this year.
There was some tweaking and preliminary
changes to the schedule of events, but nothing big. As we
get closer to the show, things will come together more
clearly, such as events by John Huff and the "Burnout
contest" and whether he can make it happen. Progress is
being made on the raffles, awards and publicity.
One new idea of the Valve Cover Races is still on
board and progressing. The race crew is finishing the race
track, and ready for us to get our racers in order.
We had two young gentlemen at the meeting that
are on board for a young generation event for a revised
class for "SPORT-COMPACT/TUNER" cars. That will
be a change from the "import/tuner class. They have a
statewide club that is on Face Book as the "Wyosport"
club. So all of you face bookers, check them out. We are
excited to have the new generation car enthusiasts aboard.
The next car show meeting will be on February
17th at Stan and Judy's home at 6:30. Anyone interested
or want to help with our car show are most certainly
welcome. Check out the tentative schedule.
Stan Goodwin, Publicity chairman
