    Like the Westchester Broadway Teaterin Elmsord, GPNY in Mt. Kisco or catcha movie at any o the local theaters. Tereare plenty o county-owned parks thatyou rent or amily unions or just take thekids.

    In terms o real estate, the Westchesterreal estate market is improving, Rapisardisaid.

    With the arrival o spring, we areseeing more buyers hitting the pavement,she said. With renewed consumercondence, continued low mortgagerates, buyers returning to the market andparticularly we are seeing more high-endbuyers as o late. In Southern Westchester,or rst quarter in 2010 vs.2011, thenumber o homes sold is down -8 percentand the prices have increased 6 percent.It is a little too soon to come to denitiveconclusions about this spring market dueto the lag time in reporting, but we are nodoubt headed in the right direction.

    And just what does Westchester oerthat the city does?Wilson names plenty o open space,

    beautiul ball elds and parks, resh air andrelaxed quality o lie.

    Neuman says the ease o living outsidethe city is simply what sets the area apart.
