LYLE NEWSLYLE NEWSBy Veda Wood
The Liberty Star Club had their annual Thanksgiving supper at the Lyle Community Building. Nineteen people had a good time eating and visiting.
Before going home pictures were taken of the present club members to be sent to former members with a Christmas card.
Toots Magers enjoyed the pheasant supper served by the Norcatur Methodist Church on Saturday evening.
I had planned to go but was ‘en-tertaining’ a cold and sore throat that caught up with me over the weekend.
Kathy Van Meter and Lloyd Frandsen went to the Kearney Arch where they had lunch at the Fireman’s Museum and en-joyed The Manneheim Seymour Christmas Show. The Show is sponsored by the Cambridge First Security Bank and Tri Valley Health System.
This show has been done for 25 years, usually in Omaha.
It was a gift to Kathy by Lloyd’s son-in-law for her help in har-vest.
June Jolly has two quilts done and has some batting for future quilts.
She played cards Friday and Sunday at McCook.
On Veteran’s Day, I rode with several ladies from the Norcatur ‘Chatty Hatters” Red Hats’ in Norton’s Veterans parade and later had lunch at the Hidden Dragon at Norton.
