We have recently been in talks about his ideas and visions for what he would like to see in the video. Using social network chat sites we discussed aspects to include in the video that he thought would be appropriate to his music. The most important of these were to create a sense of community in the music video because he felt that as an unsigned artist his friends were important to his local success so he wanted to get them involved in the production – almost as a sort of thank you for their support. The Next Forever – Initial Music Video Plans

The Next Forever has confirmed that he’d be “more than happy” for us to use his music and his image to create our A2 Promotional Pack.

From this we started discussing what scenarios would be suited to an acoustic music video. We agreed that Wells-Next-The-Sea beach could be a location that would fit such requirements. It is very summery – as is the music and conventions of music videos fitting in the same genre such as scenes of Colbie Callait in Jason Mraz’s– Lucky. (see below).

We feel that this idea of using some of his friends/fans in our music video would fit into the ethos of The Next Forever’s music, but additionally the lyrics of our chosen song – Upstream. There are parts of the lyrics that could be associated with friendship such as lines as “ I’d swim upstream for you”. Some may interpret this as love, but this could still be applied for friendship, which people in our target audience may be able to relate to.
