Parking informationTo help you park your car swiftly, the

system will indicate parking areas before

you arrive at your destination. It will

show potential on-street parking spaces

based on historic data, and off-street

parking with colour-coded availability.

Android AutoTM is designed to keep you perfectly connected to your phone – while minimizing distractions so you stay safe on the road. The simple, intuitive interface lets you access features like Google Maps, apps, music and voice control, and automatically organizes info into simple cards that appear just when they’re needed.

Apple CarPlayTM is a smart, safe way to use your iPhone while driving. It takes all the things you might want to do, and puts them into your XCeed’s display, so you can get directions, make a call and listen to music – all while staying focused on the road.

Protect … your independence

Whilst the thrill of the road ahead and the excitement of new experiences drive you, it’s good to know that you’re constantly being protected, too. That’s why the new Kia XCeed comes with Kia’s ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) – a range of innovative features and sophisticated technology to keep you and your passengers as safe as possible.

Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop and Go Using a camera and radar, Smart Cruise Control can regulate both

the XCeed’s speed and the distance to the car in front. The system

maintains the distance to the preceding vehicle by automatically

modulating your car’s speed. If the vehicle ahead picks up the

pace, the XCeed accelerates up to the set speed. If the vehicle in

front slows down and the predetermined safe distance cannot be

maintained, the system will reduce the speed, or even stop the

car. A helpful feature, particularly in heavy traffic.

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) The system can detect preceding vehicles and pedestrians as

standard and, as option, cyclists as well. Using a camera to

monitor the velocity of and distance between vehicles, it warns

the driver in the event of a potential collision risk by activating a

visual alert. In conjunction with the optional radar sensor that

enables the cyclist detection, the steering wheel also gives a

haptic feedback. If there is no driver reaction, the car brakes

automatically to avoid or mitigate an accident.

Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) The Blind-Spot Collision Warning system has radar sensors that

monitor your blind spots and warn you of oncoming cars with a

symbol in the side-view mirror.

Rear-View Monitor (RVM) with Dynamic Parking Guidance The Rear-View Monitor, available on the 8" or 10.25" multimedia

and navigation screens, gives you the full picture when reversing

into a parking spot by displaying dynamic guidelines to help guide

you into place.

Driver Attention Warning (DAW) The system detects whether you’re losing concentration by moni-

toring the pattern of the steering wheel, indicator, acceleration and

overall duration of the journey. If you show signs of drowsiness or

inattentiveness, DAW alerts you and recommends taking a break.

Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) No need to worry about drifting out of your lane. Lane Keeping

Assist uses a camera mounted at the top of the windscreen to

monitor lane markings, and if you move out of the lane uninten-

tionally the system will alert you and even steer the car back into

your lane.

Rear Cross Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW) When reversing out of a parking space or driveway, the radar-

based Rear Cross Traffic Collision Warning system alerts you to

potential traffic crossing your path.

Intelligent Speed Limit Warning (ISLW) The Intelligent Speed Limit Warning gives you all the necessary

information to help you stay within the speed limits. Using the

camera on the windscreen, it reads speed limits and overtaking

restrictions, and displays the information clearly on the navigation

screen and cluster.

High Beam Assist (HBA) When conditions allow, the XCeed will turn on its high beams

automatically. When the camera in the windscreen detects the

headlights of an oncoming vehicle at night, the High Beam Assist

system automatically switches to low beam to avoid dazzling

other drivers.

Lane Following Assist (LFA) Kia’s level 2 autonomous driving system takes a giant leap towards semi-automated driving. LFA controls acceler-

ation, braking and steering depending on the vehicles in front. This makes driving in traffic jams easier and safer.

The system uses camera and radar sensors to maintain a safe distance to the preceding vehicle and monitors road

markings to keep your car in the centre of your lane. LFA works between 0 and 180 km/h.

Smart Parking Assist (SPA) Smart Parking Assist makes parking a breeze. It uses front, side

and rear sensors to locate a parking spot and assist you with

parallel and perpendicular parking. All you need to do is handle

the brake, accelerator and gears – the system takes care of the

steering. It can even help you pull out of parallel parking spaces.
