Perfect in tight situations. When working in the city or against the clock. The new AtegoAgile, manoeuvrable and ready for anything – the new Atego meets practically every requirement in short-radius distribution from 6.5 to 16 t. Because it combines traditional strengths with new benefits. Day after day. Economically, reliably and safely.

At home in the city – the new Atego keeps you well ahead of the competition because, as well as displaying all the positive aspects that made its predecessor such a resounding success, it also offers a wealth of new, practical details that make tough short-radius- distribution work easier and more efficient: from the new-look, distinctive radiator grille to the multifunc-tion steering wheel and the new floor mats available as an ex- factory option – you’ll want it all. And now you can have it all.

The Atego’s excellent economy is once again due in no small part to its fuel-efficient, reliable Euro 5 engines. As an option, the new Atego is also available with engines that comply with the stringent EEV emissions standard1). But that’s not all: the optionally available engine start/stop system2) offers further potential for savings when it comes to both fuel consumption and emissions, as it stops the engine automatically at red lights or in stop-and-go

traffic, for example, before restarting it when you’re ready to move off again.

The strengths of the new Atego are not just limited to low fuel consumption, however. Exceptionally long maintenance intervals, highly reliable components, and the resulting low maintenance and repair costs make the new Atego a force to be reckoned with. Especially when it comes to your bottom line.

Enhanced safety, enhanced ride comfort, lower costs. With the new, optionally available retarder3) on board, the new Atego can be even more efficient and cost- effective on the road.

A heavyweight performer – not just when it comes to cargo carrying. The new AxorBetter still, the new Axor combines familiar strengths such as high payload, low fuel consumption and exemplary reliability with a wealth of new details and equipment items that pay dividends for operators and drivers alike. On every trip.

The very essence of heavy-duty short-radius distribution – with a low kerb weight, high economy and a wealth of new equipment details, the new Axor for short-radius-distribution applications of 18 t and above is sure to put smiles on faces. Thanks to its exterior appearance, including a new radiator grille that further enhances its looks. And thanks to its inner values such as perfect ergonomics, first-class build quality and a high-quality feel. Not least the standard-fit multifunction steering wheel, also optionally available in leather, the newly designed seats, which now include integrated head restraints1), or the new, optionally available stowage facilities and compartments for the engine tunnel.

The new Axor also puts forward a convincing argument when it comes to economy. As well as offering a high payload, it follows in the footsteps of its predecessor with reliable Euro 5 engines that ensure low fuel consumption and extremely long maintenance intervals. As an option, the new Axor is also available with engines that meet the requirements of the strict EEV emissions standard.

A further ecofriendly option is the engine start/stop system2), which can help reduce fuel consumption and, therefore, CO2 emissions. An investment that pays for itself quickly. As does the Mercedes PowerShift automatic gearshift available as an option for the Axor from 265 kW (360 hp) and the optionally available Economy Pack.

The plus points of the new Axor don’t stop there. Further advantages you can count on include a long warranty on the powertrain components, low maintenance and repair costs, and the expected high residual value. Not to mention optionally available dynamic handling control and driver assistance systems that further enhance ride comfort and safety in the new Axor.

In short, the new Axor once again shows what it takes to be cost-effective in short-radius-distribution applications of 18 t and above: high payload, low costs and driver-oriented comfort.

The new-look radiator grille with diamond-shaped perforations lends the Atego and the Axor an unmistakable, new face.

The new radiator grille is also optionally available in the vehicle colour

Attractive and practical – for many, this is a contradiction in terms. But not when it comes to the cabs for the new Atego and the new Axor. As highlighted on the outside by the new-look radiator grille. And on the inside by a wealth of details: the comfortable seats now feature integrated head restraints1) and are all upholstered in either flat-weave fabric or velour with “Brasao” design. Further comfort and convenience-enhancing features include the new instrument cluster trimmed with chrome rings, which offers optimised menu navigation and a graphics-capable display, making it easier to read all the infor-mation. And to make everything even easier still, the new Atego and the new Axor are now equipped with a multi-function steering wheel, which enhances both comfort and safety, as the radio and telephone can be operated directly from the steering wheel.

The new chrome ring-trimmed instrument cluster is equipped with a graphics-capable display which indicates important

operating-status information in symbol or text form. The instrument cluster for Atego and Axor models with a manual

gearshift incorporates a green rev counter range – so the driver always knows when the truck is being driven in the

optimum, fuel-saving engine speed range

The seats in the new Atego and the new Axor are now upholstered in hardwearing flat-weave fabric or velour

with new “Brasao” design. Some seat variants also have integrated head restraints1)

The new multifunction steering wheel allows simple and safe operation of the telephone, radio and driver information

system. The selected settings are displayed on the instrument cluster. The multifunction steering wheel is also optionally

available in leather

No cab should be without them: the new, extremely hardwearing rep or rubber floor mats – custom-designed for the shape of the cab –

are available as ex-factory options

Practical equipment designed around the driver – for enhanced comfort whilst working and during breaks, all of the controls are positioned ergonomically within reach of the driver. As are the stowage options for everything that needs to be close at hand: for example, the new, optionally available stowage facilities for the engine tunnel or the new, optionally available coolbox with a capacity of approx. 23 l. Not only does the latter offer plenty of storage space for cold drinks, it also keeps fruit and other foods fresh. New and equally practical: the clothes rail now fitted as standard in the S-cab and the S-cab with extended rear panel. Plus there is a range of purpose- designed special equipment available for further enhanc-ing comfort and convenience in the new Atego and the new Axor.

The new, optionally available stowage box creates space on the engine tunnel for freight papers or files and holds

drinks steady whilst driving

Offering extra stowage space and more functions, the new, optionally available stowage box enhances comfort

and convenience whilst driving and during breaks – thanks to the integrated cup and bottle holder within reach of

the driver, for example. And thanks to a fold-out table that is easy to clean and can be used for either writing or

dining in the cab

Now even jackets or raincoats have their own designated space in the S-cab or S-cab with extended rear panel:

the new clothes rail1) on the cab’s rear panel is an additional stowage option that keeps things tidy and enhances

both flexibility and convenience

The new, optionally available coolbox with a capacity of approx. 23 litres, a continuously variable cooling range

between +10 °C and –18 °C, and space for four upright 1.5-litre bottles means that cool refreshments are always

available. This spacious coolbox also keeps fruit and other foodstuffs fresh
