-First Break All the Rules-Response rate: 50% (4 our of 8)-3 out of 4 respondents mostly positive, and one very negative response
![Page 3: The Needs Assessment of the Lexington Public Library](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022062518/568145b1550346895db2b33d/html5/thumbnails/3.jpg)
-Most negative answers were about employee interactions, with each other and with managers: "is there someone at work who encourages my development?" "at work, do my opinions seem to count?" "do I have a best friend at work" (75% negative) and "in the last 6 months has someone talked to be about my progress?" (100% negative)
-Possible solutions: regular meetings between employees and supervisors to discuss progress
![Page 4: The Needs Assessment of the Lexington Public Library](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022062518/568145b1550346895db2b33d/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
-meant to discover patron opinions on the library's services, resources, personnel, and convenience
-50 surveys administered -biggest surprise: requests for increased library hours
- "are you satisfied with the current library hours?": 3.68 out of 5, with 5 being the most satisfied
-library is closed on Sundays and only open until 3:00pm on Saturdays, but is open until 8:00pm Monday through Thursday
![Page 5: The Needs Assessment of the Lexington Public Library](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022062518/568145b1550346895db2b33d/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
-Requests: increased computer time, sound on computers
-more materials: videogames, anime, ghost stories
-more resources: ESL materials, business classes, genealogy resources
-a less busy staff!: more enforcement of noise regulations and "foul language," more computer help
Lexington Library is doing well with both its internal and external customers, with positive comments outweighing negatives

Staff Survey -Based off the 12 Questions from First Break All the Rules-Only 4 of the 9 full time employees responded -Davey choose not to respond -Giving us responses from ½ the full time employees-the survey was done as a blind survey through google to try and get the most honest responses
Patron Survey50 patron participants-Chosen simply because they were in the library-Attempted to survey every patron in the library at various times.-Majority of surveys were spoken rather than written.
Sample Questions -What services do you use aside from simply checking out materials?-Are you satisfied with the current library hours?-How often do you visit the library-Is there anything else that you wish to share about your experiences in this library?
