Tips for this week

Don’t Panic !! They won’t have let you in unless they

thought you could do the work Other people are as lost as you are Don’t do anything stupid to your hair. This

is never, ever a good idea Please don’t celebrate by getting a tattoo!

Module Choice

Interest in the subject, you have to pass, be careful about your selection

Prerequisites, corequisites, excluded combinations, tied, capped, is it available, where is it running

Timetable compatibility – all modules must be timetable compatible every year

Keeping options open – you should be able to progress in at least two subjects – remember that the timetable could make your ideal choice infeasible – have more than one ‘ideal’ choice

Accessing information at this stage

Plan B: Changing your modules after completing registration

You can change your mind about your modules in the Science Faculty until the end of the 3rd week of term – Friday 25th October 2013.

Auditing one other module where you are undecided is a good plan.

You have to catch up on any missed work in the new modules

Procedure is on the Nat Sci web site – look under Current Students

Transferring out of Natural Sciences at the end of Year 1

You need to take the modules listed on the web page within the Nat Sci Freshers area in order to keep open a possible transfer out of Natural Sciences at the end of the first year. Such transfers are not always guaranteed to be possible.

You may need to do sufficiently well at the end of Year 1 and/or undertake additional work over the summer vacation.
