What does the NHS mean for the Law & justice sector?

In the NHS, 31 strategic objectives and 60 major activity areas list the Law and Justice Sector as one

of the key implementers.

The NHS aims to improve the implementation of laws that protect human rights such as the HAMP Act. It has strategic objectives about how the law and justice sector can protect vulnerable people from HIV such as prisoners or youths who are in trouble with the law.

Group exercise: Think about and discuss

2. Read the strategic objectives in the clusters that you have chosen.

3. Identify which ones apply to the work of your organization

Group exercise: Think about and discuss

1.Identify the cluster/s and strategic objectives in the NHS implementation framework that apply to the work your agency does.

2.Which activities and targets are there for your chosen cluster/s?

3.Which of these suggested activities is your organisation currently working on?

4.Which of these suggested activities is your organisation planning to implement in the future? When?

5. Are there any other activities that are not listed here that your organisation would like to or are planning to implement to achieve the strategic objective/s identified?

Look at the indicators for the strategic objectives that

are part of organisations work. Do you currently

collect this information?

• If yes how is it reported and to whom?

• If no how could you collect the information and

how could it be reported?
