Ocean liner on its maiden trip from Liverpool to New York goes down after colliding with monstrous iceberg.Yesterday, the largest floating ship known to man encountered difficulties whilst travelling off the coast of Newfoundland. The ship was just 375 miles into its journey to New York.

Despite the watertight cabins and doors, it seems that very few passengers have been able to escape safely in the icy cold temperatures. The full details of this horrific tragedy are yet to be revealed as the world patiently awaits the return of the few lucky survivors.

Many anxious family members and friends have headed down to the White Star Line offices to try to obtain more information about this terrible accident. However, as of yet these people are left without answers and their ordeal continues.
