2. The Peer Grouppeople react strongly to social

approval or social acceptance. We all wish to be accepted, especially by our peers. We dress and act like them. We always want to be "in".

3. The Schoolmoral training is incorporated in the

MORAL BEHAVIOR

Page 10: The moral and spiritual aspect of personality

Like a game, life is governed by rules. Without rules there can be no game. Rules define the moves of player. Likewise, human behaviour consists in obedience to rules. There are four approaches in the development of moral behaviour namely the psychoanalytic approach, the social group-approach, the learning theory approach and the cognitive developmental approach.

Page 11: The moral and spiritual aspect of personality

1. THE PSYCHOANALYTIC APPROACH expresses the idea that whenthe superego dominates the

individual,he or she is good because he

or she has a conscience that tells him or her to be good.

Page 12: The moral and spiritual aspect of personality

2. THE LEARNING THEORY APPROACH says that we have been trained and

disciplined by our upgrading and by the examples of our parents into behaving the way we should.

Page 13: The moral and spiritual aspect of personality

3. THE SOCIAL-GROUP APPROACH claims that we have the way we do

because people expect us to behave that way.

Page 14: The moral and spiritual aspect of personality

4. THE COGNITIVE-DEVELOPMENT APPROACH it emphasizes the importance of

intelligence in moral control. The more intelligent a person is, the stronger he or she is morally.

Page 15: The moral and spiritual aspect of personality

Moral Code:1. SELF-CONTROL - which regulates our

appetites for sex and food.2. FORTITUDE - which regulates our

emotions, principally of anger.3.JUSTICE - to all which inclines man to

render to each one his due.4.PRUDENCE OR TACT - which

judiciously guides and controls human action.
