Love.

The greatest is love. We hear that when we read 1

Corinthians 13:13… These remain -even if everything

else fails- These three remain: faith, hope, love. And

the greatest of these is love.

Love is God’s nature

God is love says 1 John 4:16. Both Psalms (103:8) and the book of Joel (2:13) say that

the Lord is slow to anger and abounding in love. This is nearly shouting to us that

LOVE is God’s way. If it were an equation it would read simply God=Love. They are

synonymous. Relish in the thought that a Creator crafted you and knows and loves

you beyond any of your human relationships and beyond your most pleasurable imag-

ination.

Love is our nature

Proverbs 19:22 What a man desires is unfailing love. We have been specifically told

that we are made in God’s image. We are his likeness. He makes love the desires of

our heart. We find this with Him and in relationships with others. Yes, there are

Scriptures that talk of the evil that come from man’s heart, but keeping with God and

his Spirit, we can know that we are growing in God’s love and nurturing our God-

given nature.

Love is what God does

Romans 5:5 talks about God pouring out his love. This is an action. He pours love,

pure love with the blood of his Son, the pouring of the Holy Spirit into our bodies,

minds and spirits. He pours. He gives. Let us be open vessels to take the abundance he

gives so that our cups may runneth over, may overflow. By this we cannot contain our

love, joy and excitement to give that love unto others.

My name is Nicole Hep-pner. I grew up in a small town in central MN called Long Prairie. I earned an associate’s degree at Alex-andria Technical College.

After college, I moved to Fargo for career oppor-tunities and here I met my husband, Abraham. We were married in July of 2011. We had a daughter, Chloe, the following June and are ex-pecting our second child this July. We currently live in Moorhead. I work as an ac-countant for a Microsoft vender and my hus-band owns his own construction company. I en-joy taking the time for exercise, feeding my fami-ly with good nutrients, and shopping for kids’ clothes at garage sales. My husband and I enjoy country swing dancing. As a family, we love going to the pet store in the mall and looking at the puppies. We dream of getting a dog, moving out of town, building a house, and having a few horses. When I start to feel over-whelmed with of life, I put all responsibilities on hold and play with my daughter because I my relationship with my family is more important.

The PHCC MOPS Steering Team wants to extend a huge thank you to all of YOU! You are the reason we have MOPS and the reason it is such an amazing group. Thank you for coming to meetings, get-ting involved in small groups, attending Mom’s Night Out events, and participating in fundraising opportunities and service projects. Thank you for taking the “plunge” and being a part of the 2012-2013 MOPS year. We sincerely hope you have found a home here and been blessed by this ministry. We look forward to seeing you this summer at our various events and again this August at the open house when we kick off the 2013-2014 MOPS year with the theme, “A Beautiful Mess.”

Thank you and God Bless!

PHCC MOPS Steering Team

On Saturday, April 6th several of our MOPS moms spent the

morning at Churches United in Moorhead volunteering.

The group learned about the shelter and what it does for our

community. They also had the opportunity to serve by deep

cleaning four rooms and the hallway. This included scrubbing

walls, ceiling fixtures like pipes and duct work, and steam

cleaning the carpet.

Thank you to all that helped out! What a blessing you are to

those in need.

Love is what forgives and heals

…but love covers over all wrongs and a multitude of sins (Proverbs10:12/1 Peter

4:8) We know that the ultimate show of unconditional love happened when God

gave his Son that day on Calvary. Christ’s forgiveness is beyond measure, but

can you believe that there’s more?!? We are to extend that love in the form of

forgiveness to others who have hurt or wronged us. Forgiving is a human reflec-

tion of Christ’s redemption

Love is what God requires

What does God really require of us? What does it really boil down to in this life?

What matters between people that God created? We know the Golden rule, to

love others as ourselves (Matthew 19:19) but I just want to mark the fact that the

Old Testament gave many rules and Jesus brought one, mentioned at least twice

in the Gospel of John: This is my command: Love each other. We can imagine

how much goodness can come and be the result of just loving.

Love is what God loves.

From Gods lips we hear that: Love forgives. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love

rejoices in the truth. Love covers, love conquers all. It will be a comfort to you

that in my translation, Unfailing love is mentioned 15 times. U…n…f…a…i…l…i…

n...g. Is that something you can imagine? Whether or not it is, take some time to

ponder UNFAILING love and the God who created you wants to whisper that in

your ear 15 times.

Ingredients: 1 cup Flour 2 cups Water Food coloring Optional: 3 Tbs Sugar Directions: Mix water and flour over low/medium heat. Stir for about 5 minutes, or until you have a thick mixture. Separate into containers and add food coloring. Let cool, paint away!
