CED ADDRESS

JIEN YUE CHOONG

Dear all,

WWhen the 5th Council took office early this year we, together, had one purpose – to consolidate ICMS’ presence in all six countries, namely, United Kingdom, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada and the United States of America. We wanted to improve our outreach to ensure students know of ICMS and the endless opportunities that come with being in a network of of passionate leaders across the world. Throughout our term, all Council initiatives were geared towards achieving this very goal. A few weeks ago, we officially concluded our recruitment drive for the 6th Council. It was indeed pure joy as we, together, watched our efforts nally come to fruition through the astonishing number of applications we received around the world. We now hhave stronger teams in all countries, and this was only made possible through the dedication, drive and passion of everyone in the 5th Council. Congratulations to the team for such a job well done, I’m incredibly proud of all of you!

ICMS has grown tremendously year by year, and we are this international organisation today because of our people. You, are the Council’s greatest asset. To our new Junior Associates, thank you for choosing to be part of our family; we are very glad to have you on board with us. We believe that when we bring together leaders with shared passion and purpose, great things will happen. As As we journey through the upcoming weeks, I hope that you’ll make the most out of everything we have planned for you to meet new friends who are studying in various parts of the world, experience this truly global working environment and embrace this international network across six countries. I wish all of you the best as you kickstart this exciting adventure with ICMS.

This newsletter is put together by the great effort of our Secretarial Department and I trust that you will all enjoy reading it. Do remember to drop them some words of appreciation and affirmation because a little encouragement goes a long way! Take care, enjoy the ride and speak soon.
