Talk Less! Pray More! Praying and spending time in the Bible are two of the most important things for the believer, and yet these are the areas where people struggle. So we want to encourage you in the practice of prayer by hosting a Prayer Conference with Gary & Dana Miller, October 28-30. Gary was Kim's and my pastor at FBC Borger before we came to San Angelo. He was also the one who ordained me into the gospel minis-try. Mark your calendar and make plans to be here for this very important event.

Session 2 TEACHING MEN HOW TO FIGHT LIKE A GIRL – Dana Miller's testimony

Session 3 “WHAT THINGS?” (Luke 24)

Session 4 Men's session: TOP TEN MYTHS – Ten myths about spiritual leadership.

Gary will challenge the men to make their marriage relationship a way to mag-

nify God in the eyes of their children.

Women's session: P.U.S.H. - Dana leads women to take/move to a new level of

intercession for their children and grandchildren.

Session 5 C.A.S.T. - Gary and Dana team teach this session and they will teach the essen

tials to consistent conversation with God.

INTRODUCTION OF THE PRAYER PARTNER COVENANT - This is a handout that

husbands and dads are given to take home and prayerfully consider using as an instrument to help

them become the prayer leader in their home.

Men's Session: PRACTICING HIS PRESENCE: How to be spiritual leaders in their

homes.

Women's session: GETTING A GRIP: Due to Dana's personal experiences with her

fight with cancer, she has an immediate connection with women, and they have

ALOT of questions about this issue that must be dealt with from a biblical per

spective.

Worship Service (10:45AM) TALK LESS! PRAY MORE!

Gary's message challenges people to take the challenge to apply these four

words to their lives. Talking inflates a crisis. Praying places the crisis where it

belongs...in God's hands. Prayers takes the IMpossible and turns transforms it

into the HIMpossible.

Born in Dallas, Texas, Gary graduated from High School on Long Island,

New York. He is married to Dana Walker Miller and has two children

Ashley & Allyson. Degrees include Baylor B.A., SWBTS M.Div., D.Min.,

DBU D.D. (Honorary).

He leads prayer conferences that equip people to utilize prayer as the

foundation for family worship.

AWANA Clubs meet each Wednesday evening from 6-7:30PM! PreSchool-5th Grade Awana helps churches and parents work to-

gether to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Our programs offer a proven approach for evangelizing and discipling kids in the church and community. FMI: Contact Philip Cross or Commander Greg Jackson

the leadership of Stacy Stephenson and her team. They are learning “Firm Foundations: Creation to Christ” and beginning work on their Christmas Musical, “The Reluctant Innkeeper”.

Remedy is a weekly collegiate service that exists to engage students with Christ-centered worship and teaching for the purpose of creating faithful disciples who join in God’s redemptive mission through local

communities of faith. It is a joint effort of College Hills and Glen Meadows and officially launches Tuesday, Aug. 30th, 7-8:30PM here at CHBC. Please be in prayer for this new college ministry.

SATURATION- A Saturation is a short-term mission trip by our students to their

high schools to hand out The Life Book to their classmates. Founded

by The Gideons International providing free copies of the Life Book to

help mobilize student missionaries to reach their schools. Our prayer

is to completely Saturate the high schools with God’s Word, which

means that each student receives a copy of the book. Please pray

for this mission outreach endeavor.

Baptist Church (4512 Sherwood Way), block after block, a line of Christians from area churches will be seen holding signs with the messages of “Abortion Kills

Children” and “Jesus Heals and Forgives”. It’s called LIFE CHAIN. No laws are broken. It is peaceful, it is silent, and it emphasizes prayer. All that is required is for committed Christians to stand prayerfully for one hour to pray for the unborn babies, their mothers, their fathers, their families, our nation, and all victims of abor-
