Sweet sound. The main goal that we have for our Bible Conference, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (October 28-30) with Gary & Dana Miller is for husbands and dads to lead their families in a daily time in the Word of God and prayer. For families where the dad is absent, for the moms to do the same. Praying for our families is one of the most important things we can do for them. ―I will give anything to hear my husband pray for me and the kids,‖ a weeping wife once told me. She and her husband had come in for some guidance about their marriage. Over the years of ministry, this is a recurring cry I have heard from wives. Being prayed for is one of the sweetest sounds we can hear. I love to read Jesus' prayer in John 17 because he prays for us, his followers, today:
“I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me
and have loved them even as you have loved me.” (John 17:20-23)
Men and ladies, let us bless our families by leading them in a daily time in God's Word and praying for them. Come to the Prayer Conference this weekend and be encouraged to do just that. Prayer Conference Schedule at a Glance Friday, Oct. 28 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm Fellowship Hall (Meal will be served) Saturday, Oct. 29 8:45 am – noon Fellowship Hall (Light breakfast will be served) Sunday, Oct. 30 9:30 am -10:30 am Fellowship Hall (Breakfast; combined SS youth & up) 10:45 am Worship
