Taren was a 2010 graduate ofOregon-Davis High School,where she excelled insports/cheerleading and wasProm Queen her senior year. Sheloved music, going to concertsand spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband,Zach, two daughters: Kora andHudsyn Abair, all of Grovertown,her mother, Paula Gilson ofHamlet, Indiana, father and step-mother, Rick and Beverly Gilsonof Argos, Indiana, two sisters:Ashley (Jim Jr.) Goble of Hamletand AnneMarie Gilson of Knox,Indiana, one brother, JordanGilson of Koontz Lake, Indianaand grandparents: Gail (Marvin)Hine of Hamlet, Walter Smith ofFort Worth and LaVern Gilson ofValparaiso, Indiana. She was pre-ceded in death by her grandfa-ther, Robert Gilson.

A Memorial/Celebration of LifeService was held Saturday,August 1, at the Koontz LakeMissionary Church. Memorialcontributions may be made to thecharity of the donor’s choice.

Michael was a veteran of the USArmy, having served in Vietnam.He loved the outdoors, camping,hiking, fishing, collecting LionelTrains, reading and watching Sci-Fi movies.

He is survived by three brothers:Anthony (Nona) Babiarz of TinleyPark, Illinois, Dennis (Diane)Babiarz of Lowell, Indiana andDwayne Babiarz of Knox and onesister, Cheryl Babiarz Hernandezof Lowell.

A memorial service will beplanned at a later date.Contributions may be given to thefamily in care of Dwayne Babiarz.

Joyce was a retired Office Clerkat the former Thompson- SmithInc., Hamlet, Indiana and was amember of the WalkertonPresbyterian Church.

She is survived by two daugh-ters: Deborah (Jeff) Daniels ofMyrtle Beach, South Carolina andDawn (Charles) Surma of Hamlet,one son, Mark (Joyce) Andersonof Knox, Indiana, eight grandchil-dren, sixteen great grandchildrenand one sister, Joann Freeman ofMishawaka, Indiana. She waspreceded in death by her hus-band, Gilbert, one son, Michael,one granddaughter and onebrother, Michael Barthel.

Graveside services were heldTuesday, August 4, at theWoodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton,Indiana.

Nicholas loved playing andspending time with his family, rab-bit hunting, fishing and playing theguitar.

He is survived by his wife,Destinee, one daughter, EllaLewis of Plymouth, Indiana, twosons: Turner Rudd and HaydenRudd, his mother, Michelle Rudd,all of North Judson, his father, TimRudd of Ohio, one brother, TylerRudd of North Judson, one sister,Stephanie Rudd of Mishawaka,Indiana, grandpa, Ervin McDanieland grandma, Catherine Rudd,both of North Judson. He waspreceded in death by his grand-ma, Brenda McDaniel and grand-pa, Nicholas Rudd.

M.J. was a 1976 graduate ofLaPorte High School and a 1980graduate of the University ofIndianapolis. She had worked inHuman Resources/Payroll for theNorth Judson-San Pierre Schoolsystem and as the ExecutiveDirector for Starke United inKnox, Indiana. She was a mem-ber of St. Mary Catholic Church.She loved her family and enjoyedwatching birds and taking care ofplants.

She is survived by her husband,Larry, two sons: Alex (Kia)Zembala of Fort Wayne and Kyle(Brittany) Zembala of Hoagland,Indiana, three grandchildren, twobrothers: John (Linda) Straub andDan (Karen) Earl and two sisters:Sandy Burkhart and Cherie Fuller,all of LaPorte. She was precededin death by one sister, PennyJedrysek.

Hattie CampbellNORTH JUDSON, IN - Hattie Campbell, 87, diedWednesday, July 22, 2020, in Plymouth, Indiana.Hattie was born on November 20, 1932 to John andMyrtle Rowe at a place called Tip Top in MagoffinCounty Kentucky. On March 17, 1950, she marriedDelmer Campbell.

At a young age, life became very hard due to thedeath of her father and the depression years when many

people struggled to survive. Hattie eventually traveled to Chicago with a friendto find work. This was a turning point in her life. She met her future husband,Delmer Campbell. Together they had four wonderful children whom she issurvived by: Phyllis Campbell Wentz (Howard), Joyce Campbell Bales (Dave),Steven Zackary Campbell, and Jimmie John Campbell (Tonya), 12 grandchil-dren and many great grand children. She is also survived by two brothers:Hillard (Judy) Minix and Bobby Minix.

In 1965, they moved from Chicago to North Judson, Indiana where theystayed and raised their family. Hattie worked at various places from time totime, but her main goal was to stay home and take care of her family. Sheloved her children. That’s all she ever talked about. After Delmer retired, theytraveled a lot. They were always headed to Nashville for Fanfare or Florida orsometimes they would just head out with no destination, just driving and sightseeing. She loved to see new places and talk to people. She was definitely apeople person and she could talk to anyone.

Hattie was preceded in death by her father, John Rowe, her mother Myrtle(Montgomery) Rowe Minix Risner, two step fathers: Earn Minix and WedRisner. 4 sisters: Opal Mann, Fay Maupin, Dixie Whitaker and Phyllis Gross,two brothers: Ocie Rowe and Floyd Carson Rowe and her husband of 69 years,Delmer Campbell

A Family Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Highland Cemetery inNorth Judson on Monday August 3rd at 11:00am, where she will be reunitedand laid to rest next to her husband and love of her life, Delmer Campbell.

Judy enjoyed shopping, eatingout, cooking, watching mysterymovies and shows and spendingtime with her family.

She is survived by two daugh-ters: Shelly (Jeff) Velchek ofWestville and Jill Bodo of Portage,Indiana, five grandchildren, fivegreat grandchildren, two brothers:Tommy Ward of San Pierre,Indiana and Terry (Linda) Ward ofValparaiso, Indiana, and four sis-ters: Cathy (Bob) Henderson ofCleveland, Ohio, Earlene (Greg)Howard of Wanatah, Indiana,Robin Miller of Knox and Dawn(Kevin) Danford of San Pierre.She was preceded in death by herhusband, Peter R. Bodo and twogreat grandchildren.

Services were held Monday,August 3, at Braman & BaileyFuneral Home, with Rev. GregHoward and Rev. Eli Howard offi-ciating. Burial was in theGraceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
