For training providers
CourseSight enables you to publish and promote your
courses quickly – whether long or short duration,
delivered face-to-face or as e-learning - and keep your
programmes up-to-date and visible to a large market.
The system handles every aspect of the booking and
management process, including online payment and
relevant learner communications, such as joining
instructions and VAT receipts.
For companies and individuals
CourseSight is the ideal tool to search, book and
manage courses, enabling you to identify the best
supplier for you. CourseSight highlights which training
providers are approved – and by which organisations -
to help you choose the best quality training for your
requirements.
Every stage of the booking journey is covered by
CourseSight – with confirmations, payment and
follow-up all handled for you in one easy system.
For trade associations, federations and industry bodies
CourseSight contains powerful and unique features
making it your first choice for providing a wealth of
industry and sector-specific metrics and analysis. The
system allows you to create your own communities,
managing provider approvals and content to best serve
your membership.
Additional functionality, for those in the construction
sector, enables achievement information from
CourseSight to be passed seamlessly to SkillSight, so that
new qualifications can be surfaced on individuals' CSCS –
and partner - cards and then checked on site. As there
are more than 2.5 million of these smartcards in use,
this is a powerful bonus for our construction customers.
Initially trialled in construction, the system is now available across all sectors.
Why use CourseSight?
“All industries need a competent, skilled and safe workforce. CourseSight provides an innovative and collaborative approach to training, bringing together industry bodies, training providers, companies and individuals, which can only help to improve skills and raise efficiency and effectiveness in the workplace.”

CourseSight for Training Providers
One of the keys to CourseSight’s success is how it
engages with industry stakeholders.
When developing CourseSight we spoke to industry
leaders to understand the main concerns with UK
training provision across the board. This included
inconsistent course content, inaccurate schedules,
frequent late cancellations and inadequate training
delivery. Working closely with one of the most respected
and innovative bodies in construction, the FIS
(representing the Fit-Out and Interiors sector) and a
group of their providers, we built and launched
CourseSight to address these concerns – and many
others.
We also learned from wider dialogue across sectors that
what all industry bodies wanted was reliable data about
which providers were delivering the most courses, the
best-rated courses, deserved the highest of reputations.
They wanted to know which providers cancelled events
at short notice, titles of courses that their members
looked for that didn’t yield any results, whether
satisfaction data from users correlated with provider
approval status and much more.
CourseSight delivers all of this, allowing industry bodies
to build and optimise their relationships with their
members, as well as their training providers, to provide
benefits across industry.
By adopting CourseSight, a federation, institute or sector
body can ensure the delivery of the best training and
development programmes for its members and the
learner community, using trusted and accurate data
about the quality of provision and reliability of providers.
This enables these organisations to manage their
approval process far more dynamically, supporting and
advising providers who are not hitting the desired
standard.

CourseSight for Training Providers
It also creates a fairer, more level playing-field. With
CourseSight, gone are the days when the larger
training providers would win most of the business
because of their size. Equally in the past is the offering
of a multitude of non-existent courses which get
cancelled at the last minute by less-reputable
providers. Instead, on CourseSight, large and smaller
providers may showcase equally, using a range of other
metrics, search and filter criteria to guide buyers to the
best provider for them. A top spot on a search cannot
be bought on CourseSight; it is earned by delivering
high quality training and satisfying customers.
This improves the quality of training in the industry and
in turn, increases levels of competence and skill in the
workforce.
As well as the great potential for a sector body to raise
standards across the provider network, CourseSight
also delivers a wide range of powerful information.
Big data is much talked about and CourseSight really
delivers on this, as the way we structure our
information allows us to segment our results. For
example, we can profile course delivery for a specific
programme, comparing approved and non-approved
providers or content. Equally, we can report on the
number of course places booked from approved
providers where the booking company isn’t a member
of the sector organisation or federation. Because we
manage relationships between the industry body, its
members and providers, we are also able to surface
more details about these activities, while leaving other
metrics at high-level only to ensure compliance with all
data protection legislation.
Another attraction for industry stakeholders is the ease
with which CourseSight can be implemented. Training
providers can be set up, approved easily – even
approved content managed - and relationships
between different user roles are also simple to build
and create.
Then it’s just a matter of the industry bodies using the
powerful reporting functionality in the system to
identify best practice, as well as which providers need
more support and advice on how to improve. A good
example is our analysis on which approved providers
routinely cancel courses at the last minute, letting
their customers down and reducing their options to
look elsewhere – an activity that industry bodies and
trade bodies want to stop.
It is also possible for us to transfer course achievement
data from CourseSight into third party systems. We
already do this between CourseSight and its sister
system, SkillSight, in the construction sector and this is
one of the many reasons that Build UK endorses our
solutions.
Similarly, achievement data could be passed
electronically to other training and competence
management databases.
CourseSight for Industry Bodies
“CourseSight provides a single point of reference for our sector’s training
requirements, and demonstrates FIS delivering added value to our members. FIS
and Reference Point, the developers of CourseSight, have worked with a selected number of trainers as FIS “approved” providers. We strongly believe this simple, cost effective model for accessing, booking and managing training will benefit the wider industry.”
David Frise, Chief Executive, FIS

CourseSight for Training Providers
CourseSight offers Training Providers a host of benefits
and opportunities, regardless of the size of the provider
or their current market presence.
Any UK training provider working to provide effective,
high-quality training or learning experiences should be
on CourseSight.
For smaller companies, CourseSight gives you greater
visibility and the ability to showcase your programmes
alongside larger organisations. You can attract new
clients, win new contracts and compete on a level and
fair playing-field.
For larger providers, even those with a large customer-
base, CourseSight offers you an additional shop-window
– to an ever bigger buying community.
Regardless of the sort of training you deliver – whether
local, regional or national; face to face or e-learning;
short or long programmes – you should be on
CourseSight.
It is very easy to register and start setting up courses on
the system. And because you don’t pay anything unless
we process bookings for you, there is nothing to stop
you getting started and seeing for yourself how effective
CourseSight can be for you.
You might also be approved by one or more of the
sector bodies and federations adopting the system,
which will give you a commercial edge with buyers
looking only to buy training from an approved or
accredited provider.
And regardless of your own company web presence, you
can still make CourseSight work FOR you. You can add
hyperlinks from your own website to your courses on
CourseSight, enabling you to harness the feature-rich
system for handling bookings, payment and
documentation straight from your own website. And
many organisations using CourseSight will not yet be
aware of your company and what it does, therefore
expanding your reach and introducing you to a new
customer-base.

CourseSight for Training Providers
“Many companies, and individuals, are unsure how to locate suitable Training Providers. Having an online portal like CourseSight means courses can be located and booked with ease and managed efficiently”.
Dan Plosky, Managing Director, Now Get Qualified
We also offer a complimentary referral service to all
approved providers, passing you leads when companies
are looking for a course they cannot find on the system.
CourseSight also gives you your own comprehensive
dashboard, enabling you to track the courses being
booked in real-time, revenue generated daily and
feedback from your courses. The system has its own
powerful range of reports that are available at your
finger-tips, as well as a planner so that you have an at-a-
glance view of your activity over the next few days or
weeks.
Also, because most bookings are paid for using
credit/debit cards, the money reaches your account
within a few days, often improving the cash position
within your company and eliminating the need to chase
for payment – although you do always have the option
to offer companies pay on account facilities.
Cancellations made within your agreed terms are also
managed electronically and refunds made, so you don’t
need to handle this.
You can start using CourseSight right now by just following the simple registration process. It’s easy to use and as soon as you add your courses, you’ll be ready to start generating new business.

CourseSight for Companies
CourseSight offers employers peace of mind: searching
across a wide range of providers to find the best course
for you and your staff.
You can browse for a course title, include a wide range
of search filters regarding date, location, provider status
and many more, and then evaluate which providers
returned suit you best.
Satisfaction data is visible and you can be confident that
this will be reliable as we ONLY survey learners (and
their employers) who have attended training booked on
CourseSight.
You can also see whether the provider is approved by
one or more industry bodies and if they are delivering an
accredited course.
Once you have selected the right provider to book with,
CourseSight handles every aspect of the course booking
process, including online payment.
The system also processes cancellations (with automatic
refunds) and substitutions for you.
All documentation is sent out immediately such as
joining instructions and VAT receipts.
When your employees have attended a course, you will
be notified of the outcome and any certificates can be
emailed as soon as they are issued.
In addition, you have your own company dashboard
where you can monitor your bookings, what you’re
spending and with whom, as well as running a range of
other reports.
You have the opportunity to develop relationships with
providers you regularly deal with, and this enables
providers for example to offer you special
arrangements, such as discounts.
Best of all, you have access to the most comprehensive
training shop window, ensuring you get the best
learning outcomes for your employees, to raise their
efficiency, competence and effectiveness.
You can browse courses now but to book training you
will need to register, which only takes a minute or two.

CourseSight for Companies
If you are a larger employer, looking for a course
booking and management solution that enables your
employees to book or request training – whether
internally delivered programmes or from external
providers - CourseSight is the solution here as well.
We can configure CourseSight so that your employees
can sign on using their usual network login (Azure AD).
They can then browse and search for courses and
either book training that your company has pre-
approved or request courses for management sign-off.
You are in control: you can manage which providers
and courses you are happy for your staff to book
directly and still allow them to request other training
they have identified, for their line manager or your in-
house training department’s approval.
This approach uses standard CourseSight functionality
but includes additional configuration and set-up, so
that you can manage what training your direct
employees can book for themselves and what they
need to request. You can define your own delegate
form, collecting additional data from your employees at
the time of booking that is important to your company,
such as cost centre information.
The rest of the booking process - the joining
instructions, email confirmations etc. - works as
standard, giving you all the extra benefits and power of
CourseSight.
For more information about this approach and annual
costs, please contact us directly to discuss your
requirements.
