YOU & ME

If you feel bad at 10 miles, you're in trouble. If you feel bad at 20 miles, you're normal. If you don't feel bad at 26 miles, you're abnormal

- Rob Costella, 1983 World Marathon Champ

That’s Why…We are different, in essence, from other men. If you want to win something, run 100 meters. If you want to experience something, run a marathon.

- Emil Zatopek, 4 times Olympics winner

The marathon can humble you- Bill Rodgers, 4 times winner of Boston Marathon

A half marathon is a good way to have a bit of fun and race against those girls and learn a bit more about them. The world half marathon is a world championship at the end of the day and it's important. I've won it twice and it's a quality event.

A Recent Example of AID’s work

CYCLONE AILA HITS THE SUNDERBANS, W BENGAL ON MAY 25th, 2009 – 3 MILLION DISPLACED

Widespread devastation AID responds with emergency drive to raise awareness and funds

and works with NGOs to provide relief to affected people.

AID finds that the urgent need is to restore agricultural livelihood. Training is provided to help farmers desalinate fields and restart cultivation.

Fields of trained farmers are soon flourishing again …

… but much remains to be done in the region.

AID works with NGO partners to set up community kitchens …

… and to help people advocate for the right to work through the NREGS.

The movie ‘Swades’ - inspired by the work of AID founder, Ravi, at Bilgaon village, Maharashtra

While the movie focuses on a hero as the change-maker …

… the reality of Bilgaon is that the people were empowered to take their own decisions …

… and transform their own lives.By running or supporting the marathon program, you are becoming a part of Bilgaons all across India.

• Projects all across India– In partnership with grass-root

NGOs– Aimed at the most marginalized

• Spanning all areas of development– Agriculture– Education– Environment– Health– Social Justice

What AID does • Established in 1991, 40 chapters globally

• 100+ active projects• Utilized approx $900 k• 4 Star rating from Charity
