Welcome To Holy Week!! This is the most

special week of the year for us Christians. We invite

you to participate fully in this week. Take a look at the

schedule and do your best to celebrate all of these days

with us! The main Church will be open this entire

week from 8am to 9pm – stop in for quiet prayer.

We invite you to come to confession this Monday

between 3pm – 9pm As a matter of fact, all Catholic

Churches will have a priest available during those times

tomorrow. In Manhattan, Bronx, Staten Island,

Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk—that’s more

than 800 churches that will be open with a priest

available to hear your confession!

Finally, we welcome anyone who is with us

today for the first time or after a long time! Please feel

at home here in St Bartholomew Church. You are

welcome and we are happy to have you! If we can

assist you in any way please let us know.

PILGRIMAGE TO PUEBLA & MEXICO CITY Fr Rick will be going on pilgrimage with 30 other

parishioners visiting the Shine of Guadalupe as well as

churches in Puebla. Do you have any intentions you

would like the group to bring to the Holy Places in Mexico

for you? There’s a “prayer box” in the saints chapel of the

main church. Write your intention before Easter Sunday

and place it in the box. The pilgrims will bring these

intention to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Perhaps you have family in Puebla or Mexico City? Invite

them to celebrate mass with us! Here’s the information:

ADULT CONFIRMATION: We are happy to invite any adult (18+) who has not

received the Sacrament of Confirmation (and would like

to) to please consider it. We will be offering a 5 Sunday

formation course beginning April 15. Classes are offered

in English and Spanish. We invite you to attend a meeting

for information and registration on TUESDAY, APRIL 3

AT 7 PM IN HEAFEY HALL. Heafey Hall is located

under the chapel on Ithaca St. The sacrament will be

conferred on Pentecost Sunday- May 20th.

A SPECIAL MAJOR EVENTS ANNOUNCEMENT: The Diocese of Brooklyn's Assembly on

Evangelization and the Diocesan Celebration of the V Encuentro will take place on Saturday, April 28,

2018. All events will take place at St. John's University in Jamaica, New York. Please join thousands of

others from Brooklyn and Queens and beyond as we explore ways that we can follow Jesus' exhortation to

Put Out Into the Deep and celebrate the Joy of Encountering Christ. Throughout these days, we will honor

Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio for his outstanding evangelization efforts. His Excellency, the Most Reverend

Christophe Pierre, Apostolic Nuncio to the United States of America, will be with us on Saturday and

provide the keynote address. All catechists, lectors, Eucharistic ministers, ushers and choir members are
