The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:

He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me

in the path of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley

of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me;

Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the

presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest

my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me

all the days of my life:

and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

The family of the late Henry “H.J.” Hunter says, “thank you for your

prayers, words of comfort, and acts of kindness during our time of

bereavement.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give as the world gives.

Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

John 14: 27

Henry James Hunter, affectionately known as “H.J.”, was born on

September 16, 1943 to the late Willie Hunter, Sr. and the late Lillie B.

(Clarence Sr.) Alford Hunter Williamson. H.J. departed this earthly life on

November 14, 2017 at his residence.

Henry was a product of the South Carolina school system and he

graduated from Booker T. Washington High School with the Class of 1962.

While in high school, he ran track.

After high school, H.J. entered into the Unites States Air Force serving as a

military policeman. He also played football for the Air Force Academy.

H.J. completed his military duty and retired from the Air Force with an

honorable discharge. He was employed with Alvin S. Glenn (Richland

County Detention Center) as a Correctional Officer, which he also retired.

Upon gaining the knowledge of God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

H.J. became a member of the Ephesus SDA Church.

H.J. leaves to cherish his precious memories, Willie Hunter, Jr. (Linda) of

former spouse Lena Hunter of Columbia, South Carolina, nephew William

(Teisha) Hunter, nephew Willie Hunter, III, niece Cassandra (James) Young,

step-niece Tannis (Vladmir) Thomas, step-nephew, Clarence T. (Jasmin)

Williamson. Great nieces and nephews, family friends, William Heller,

Boyce Shell, Lorene Grover, Perdell Johnson, cousin “like a sister” Erica

Seay, cousin “like brothers” Everette, Reggie, and Keith Cunningham. In-

laws, other relatives, friends, neighbors, and the Ephesus SDA Church

family.

When I am gone, release me, let me go.

I have so many things to see and do,

You mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears,

But be thankful we had so many good years.

I gave you my love, and you can only guess

How much you've given me in happiness.

I thank you for the love that you have shown,

But now it is time I traveled on alone.

So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must

Then let your grief be comforted by trust

That it is only for a while that we must part,

So treasure the memories within your heart.

I won't be far away for life goes on.

And if you need me, call and I will come.

Though you can't see or touch me, I will be near

And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear

All my love around you soft and clear

And then, when you come this way alone,

I'll greet you with a smile and a "Welcome Home."
