The Lizard and the Diamondby Class 2

One day Lizard, who was lovely, little and loud was dancing through the deep, dark, dangerous forest. He met Henry the Hyena who was happy, hairy and handsome. Henry had a diamond. Lizard loved the diamond.

“Will you give me your diamond?” asked the Lizard.“No!” shouted Henry.“Will you lend me your diamond?” asked the Lizard.“No!” screamed Henry“Will you let me polish your diamond?” asked the Lizard.“No!” bellowed Henry

Lizard told all the other animals that whoever got the diamond would get a big reward.

The next day Gerald the gigantic, gentle, jolly giraffe was walking through the forest .

Gerald met Henry the Hyena.“Are you looking for me?” asked Henry.

No. I am just staring at your beautiful, bright blue diamond. Goodbye Henry.

The next day Harold the happy, healthy, hungry Hippopotamus was walking through the forest.Harold met Henry the Hyena.“Are you looking for me?” asked Henry.

No! I am just admiring your brilliant , amazing, dazzling diamond.Goodbye Henry.

The next day, something weird, terrifying, and dark, slithered, wriggled and jiggled quickly, frighteningly, and furiously through the forest.

The animals were puzzled. Some were scared.

They heard a rustling, hissering , rattling sound and the wavy, bushy, emerald green grass moved from side to side.

Rachel the Rattlsnake was looking for Henry and the diamond.

Rachel said to Henry “There is a much bigger, brighter , shinier diamond at the other side of the river. Why don’t you go and get that one?”

Henry was so exited because he was very greedy and his eyes lit up at the thought of having more diamonds!He ran as fast as he could but…

He fell into the deep hole that Rachel had dug as a trap!Rachel quickly grabbed the diamond and slithered all the way back to Lizard with the precious diamond.

Rachel the rattlesnake took the diamond to the lizard.Lizard was SO pleased that she asked Rachel what she would like as a reward.
