• Those young in the faith.–I Peter 2:1-2 - “Wherefore laying aside

all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, 2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:”

“The Small”

Page 8: “The Lions Lunch”

• Not yet alert enough to avoid being misled– “For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need

someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” – Hebrews 5:12-14

“The Slow”

Page 9: “The Lions Lunch”

• Dis-eased; those Spiritually weak.– “And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto

spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?” - I Corinthians 3:1-3

“The Sickly”

Page 10: “The Lions Lunch”

• Those that have wandered away from the fellowship of the flock of God.–“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye

which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” – Gal. 6:1,2

“The Stragglers”

Page 11: “The Lions Lunch”

• Those who are insensitive to dangers. – “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take

heed lest he fall.” - 1 Cor. 10:12– “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high

time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” – Rom. 13:11– Jude 22,23

• Faith is revealed truth – Jude vs. 3• “Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting

them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.” – Acts 14:22

• Faith is not produced in fanciful dreams, visions, or experiences, but in a “thus saith the Lord.” (II Tim. 3:16-17; Rom. 10:17).

“Steadfast In The Faith”

• He shut the mouth of the lion (Dan. 6:22)– “And what shall I more say? for the time would fail

me to tell of Gideon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33. Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,” - Heb. 11:32-33.

– 1 Cor. 10:13
