LOS ANGELES, CA (July 9, 2015) Just in time for Thanksgiving, Lifetimejoins forces with The Jim Henson Company on the Lifetime Original Movie, JimHenson’s Turkey Hollow, starrring Academy Award® and Golden Globe®Winner Mary Steenburgen (Orange is the New Black, Last Man on Earth), JayHarrington (Benched, Better Off Ted) and Grammy® and SAG winner Chris"Ludacris" Bridges (Fast and Furious). The liveaction familyfriendly film isbased on original characters and story written in 1968 by creative mastermindJim Henson and his longtime writing partner, Jerry Juhl (The Muppet Show,Fraggle Rock). Currently in production in Vancouver, Jim Henson’s TurkeyHollow will premiere November 21, at 8pm ET/PT on Lifetime.

The movie follows the story of the Emmerson family, recently divorced fatherRon (Harrington) and his kids Tim (Graham Verchere) and Annie (GenevieveBuechner), as they head to the quaint town of Turkey Hollow to spend a rusticThanksgiving at the farm of Ron’s eccentric Aunt Cly (Steenburgen). Surprised by the lack of internet and technology in Turkey Hollow, Tim andAnnie soon find themselves swept up in tracking the “Howling Hoodoo,” anelusive monster that, up until now, Turkey Hollow residents have longdismissed as mere legend. The Thanksgiving holiday threatens to takea bleak turn when a scheming neighbor frames Aunt Cly for turkey theft, butthe fractured family teams up with some surprising new friends to save theday. Ludacris appears as an onscreen narrator in the film.
