March 4th, 2017

Through the funds raised with this wonderful event, 90 children will be

able to receive the gift of summer camp. Help make a difference in the

lives of tomorrow’s leaders.

A week of camp can and does make a difference. For some, it will last long after the embers of the last campfire are gone. Those memories of camp can provide the strength to get through difficult times. As a teacher wrote:

With a target age range of 8-12 year olds we, at Bakersville Elementary School and Southside Middle School, have children returning to Copper Cannon for many years, giving them the gift of stability and allowing them to build long lasting friendships. Attesting to the success of this experience, there are many younger siblings of campers who count the summers until they are old enough to begin their own Copper Cannon experience. Copper Canon is a ‘buzz’ word at my school. Students start asking about camp sign ups in January just to make sure they can return!

We want to give other children the gift of camp.

Copper Cannon Camp has served approximately 22,000 young people while consistently offering New Hampshire’s low income youth the opportunity to experience the wonders of living close to nature and in a supportive community. Last summer, the almost 500 youth who attended Copper Cannon came from every part of the state representing 80 different cities and towns. Just In! A Long Weekend in the White Mountains The lupines are in bloom! Enjoy a long weekend June 9 to 12th in a quaint old New England farmhouse with a million dollar view of Cannon Mountain. Weekend includes a wonderful breakfast each morning, a Friday night private local wine and cheese tasting, a 2 hour guided nature hike with New England forester Bruce Barnun. The
