The Kentucky Historical Society and the Kentucky Genealogical Society present “Genealogy Basics” Saturday, April 12, 2008 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History 100 West Broadway Frankfort, KY 40601 Presenter Sandi Gorin will teach beginners how to start the process of researching and documenting family history. During the morning program, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., participants will learn proper techniques for basic research. The afternoon program, from 12:30 to 1: 30 p.m., will build upon the lessons from Part I, and will present information on resources, repositories, and helpful tips. Registration before noon on Friday, April 11, is required. Workshop participation is complimentary. A light lunch is available for registrants only from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., for $6, payable at the door. To register, call 502-564-1792, ext. 4460 or email [email protected].
