Yo Yo Yo Ho-Ho-Hot Devils!
It’s always a pleasure to see you again on this month Division 26 North newsletter! I am very excited for this newsletter because it showcases all of 26 North’s clubs doing awesome things in the beginning of the school year. From registration to service, we Devils do it all! Fall Rally North Social just passed where forms were collected for early FRN Spirit Gear! But it’s not too late to still buy! Spirit Packs are $25, horns are $5, and shirts are $12, make sure to turn in money to me asap or before the FRN Bootcamp on October 10th at Pittsburg High.
Region Training Conference is just around the corner! Less than two weeks until this incredible event! It will be at a YMCA camp in La Honda, Ca will over 200 Key Clubbers from all over the Bay Area from Monetary Bay to Napa Valley! If you are planning to go get ready for a weekend packed full of service, leadership, OHANA, and ADVENTURE! If you won’t be able to make RTC this year, don’t fret there is always next year (unless you’re a senior... YIKES!). I hope to see everyone at RTC: Jedi of Service this October 3rd and 4th!
This month’s DCM was incredible! Our PB&J Sandwich Social was a hit! We made over 130 sandwiches for our local community! These sandwiches will be donated to Loves and Fishes Organization in Pittsburg. This can also be a service project you can bring home to your clubs and do something with!
I can’t wait for all the amazing things coming up! Get ready Devils because it’s coming fast!
As always, if you have any questions, comments, ideas, suggestions, concerns you know who to contact!
Tons of love,
Lieutenant Governor Gagan Lally Division 26 North | Region 9 | Cali-Nev-Ha District

First meeting of the month! Many new and old members overfilled room 17 at lunch. As more people walked in, the more people were excited to start the new year and make a change and serve our community. Not only that, but approximately 55 people showed up to the meeting. Many ideas about fundraising were discussed like a possible color run to fight breast cancer! Overall the excitement and willingness shined through as we came together to kick start the year!

What a better way to spend a Friday night than at the Black Light Dance which was held on September 11. It wasn’t just a night where everyone could dance and have a good time, but also to remember the past and embrace the future of our fallen officers who lost their lives on 9/11. On top of all that, Key Club members helped set up a table to sell lollipops which helped raise money to reach their monthly goal of $120 for PTP. Lollipops were sold at 75 cents each and was definitely one of the crowd’s favorites which included several of colors and flavors.

Northgate president, Calvin, and club member, John, helped out at a red white and blue American BBQ party for senior citizens. They were monitoring the games and handing out prizes and also assisting the residents with anything they needed. They had a fun time volunteering at this event with College Park Key Clubbers!

Two of our most loyal Key Club, one of them being LTG Gagan Lally, members speaking to one of our Kiwanis leaders. They are never shy with their questions and love to speak with everyone there. As you can see everyone at the LTG Installation was just like a family!

Concord's first meeting was definitely a success. With over fifty people in attendance, the fresh and juicy members learned how to do a lot of the basic key club cheers and were introduced to what key club is and our goals for this year!

These two seniors Cesar Ledesma and Celine Herrera are at a Key Club meeting at Clayton Valley! They are interested in what this new club is going to do this year. So they’re reading about some events students at other schools have gone to and one of the charities we will fundraise for, the Eliminate Project.
- Rosanna Aragon, Clayton Valley President
In August, we were able to complete s ix service events. College Park volunteered at a bbq event, both days of Alhambra high school reunion, walk thru, Our Lady of the Queen Anniversary Festival, a n d h e l p o u t w i t h S p e c i a l Olympics. For future events, we have a food bank, instructional garden, and an Alzheimer’s Walk coming up. Although, summer is still in the air but we continue to have multiple events for our members. I was so glad to see some new faces that came to our dcm this month. Although our numbers are not at its peak, but the number of members attending these social events are slowly raising again and it’s making me very happy.

This month the Antioch High School Key Club made a huge impact at our school’s open house on new students as well as the rest of the student body. As usual our officers and members brought the Key Club spirit, but this time we got to bring it to both the students and parents that attended the open house. The great enthusiasm shown during the open house ultimately led to the largest turnout in the Antioch Key club’s history for the first meeting of the new school year. With the new the new influx of interest in the club we hope to start of the year with a bang.

OFFICIAL DIVISION 26 NORTH NEWSLETTER | OCTOBER EDITION 14
Once school starts, a lot of people tend to have difficulty balancing school and Key Club. I tend to be one of those people. Since I am starting my junior year, I have many many obstacles ahead of me: SATs, Leadership, Choir, AP Classes, and not to mention having to run Key Club Meetings, check in with my officers, attend volunteer services.. Just to name a few. Although there can be some kind of time restraint with doing all these activities, I believe time management is a BIG part of balancing school and key club. With this, I will write down all the necessary things to do and do it in consecutive order of what's most important to least, so I don't waste time. Also, sleep deprivation is one of biggest factors in teenagers. One thing I'd never think I'd do.. SKIPPING NAPS! With this method, I would use my time in the day affectively. Do my homework, plan board and club meetings- so by finishing all of this in the day, I would have time to get a good night of rest and start fresh in the morning. By managing my time and sleeping early/skipping naps, I would be able to balance school and key club effectively.
