Why do they affect our opinions so much?
• The majority of the population is young and less informed, therefore more apt to believe anything
• Satiric shows are more entertaining to watch than the news
• These shows display information in a very simplistic, childish manner in order to get the point easily across.
• These shows have higher viewer ratings than the news channels
Example 1: Family Guy
Ask Yourself This: Did you vote for Obama because you
agreed with his goals and ideas more than McCain?
Or did you vote vote for Obama because you knew more about him, there was more hype about him and many people on the news seemed to be supporting him?
