The Ibong Adarna story

Once before, there was a kingdom named Bebania. It was

ruled by King Fernando and Queen Valeriana who had three

sons. The eldest was named Don Pedro, the second to the oldest is Don Diego and the youngest is called Don Juan.

One day the king had a bad dream. At his dream was that Don Juan

was thrown into a well. King Fernando started growing weak for

unknown reasons. It seemed nothing could bring back his health

conditions. His medical advisors said to him that the only cure is a lullaby sung by the Adarna bird.

King Fernando sent his sons to look for the bird at Mount Tabor, at the tree of Piedras Platas. Don Pedro went first to where the nest

of the Adarna bird was laid and wasn't successful. He fell a sleep

when the bird sang it's song and he turned to stone when the Adarna bird pooped on him. Don Diego went to the Adarna bird and had

fell a sleep and turned to stone like Don Pedro. Don Juan went to the place of the Adarna bird. On the way, he met a old sick man who gave him tips about the tree of

Piedras Platas and the Adarna bird.

Don Juan successfully caught the bird and helped his two

brothers become human again. Don Pedro and Don Diego had join together to beat Don Juan and throw him to a well because they had greed in power. The

illness of King Fernando had became worse because the bird never sang. Don Juan was able to have strength

after the old man he met at his way helped him.

Don Juan went back to the kingdom. King Fernando felt better after the

Adarna bird sang when Don Juan came back. King Fernando had known what happened to Don Juan and wanted to punish Don Pedro and Don Diego for what they did to Don Juan. Don Juan

asked his father to forgive his brothers and his father had forgave them. The Adarna bird escaped because of Don

Pedro. Don Juan went away so that his brother won't be punished.

King Fernando told Don Pedro and Don Diego to search for Don Juan. They found Don Juan at the

kingdom of Armenia and decided to live there. One day they found a well. Only Don Juan went down

successfully. He found two princesses. One princess is named Donya Juana and the other one was called

Donya Leonora. They were captive or captured by a serpent. Don Juan had saved the two princesses by

his fighting skills. Don Pedro envied Don Juan. Don Pedro cut the rope when Don Juan went to get the

ring of Donya Leonora forgotten. It was easy for Don Diego to make Donya Juana to fall in love with him

and they went back to Bebarnia and got married. Don Pedro did everything to make Donya Leonora

fall in love in him but failed.

An enchanted fox helped Don Juan and he healed. The Adarna bird told

Don Juan about the princess of Reyno Delos Cristales was his love destiny. He searched more the princess and

found a cruel king named King Salermo. He succeeded in doing the

obstacles the king has given him with help of Maria Blanca (daughter of

King Salermo).Don Juan and Maria Blanca tried to escape because of the selfish king. Maria Blanca was cursed to be crawling like a snail and to be

forgotten by Don Juan.

Don Juan returned to Berbania. He had forgotten Maria Blanca. Don Juan and Princess Leonora were scheduled to wed. At the wedding Maria Blanca came. She tried to remind Don Juan

about their love. Finally, Don Juan and Maria Blanca married while Don

Pedro and Princess Leonora married. Don Pedro became the new king of Bebarnia and Don Juan became the

king of Reyno delos Cristales.
